as former operator of these trucks it's good to see so many different company's still in the business . I have operated Cat, Terex and Komatsu dumps and I loved all of them . I retired 20 years ago but still would jump at the chance to run any of these. until 5 years ago I still had my license to operate one but finally gave it up because sadly I can't drive anymore.
i am operator of Komatsu 980E. The best machine of video, because it doesnt spoil of nothing complicated and its the strongest dumptruck on hard conditions of my job in Andes mountains. Greetings from Perú
@@dozer1642 the dump truck on the thumbnail is real, I watched a vid on it not too long ago but I am pissed that I can’t remember or find the vid for the life of me🥲
I commend your efforts on making this video. It does contain a lot of info and I don't recall anything being factually wrong. Although the reason I clicked on this video is because the title reads. "New Dump Truck Caterpillar Surprised Again". That title leads me to believe a new model is being released and that is what I wanted to see. Almost every truck mentioned in this video was introduced years ago. In fact I think the newest truck listed in this video was released around 6 years ago (I may be wrong). Anyway the main point is that the title and thumbnail are misleading.
My nephew loves construction vehicles and the video, but was disappointed that the Kress was absent. Edit in the Kress construction vehicle and this channel will probably get more appreciation.
This video is not about Caterpillar only.. it's about Heavy Payload Dump Trucks in the world...also where is Kress Corporation, they also makes one of the Heavy Payloads..use correct thumbnails please 🙏
It is neat to see in the city where Cat builds the big dump trucks, they run one of them in most of the parades. You do not appreciate how huge they are until you see one in person, driving down the highway!.
Who doesn't know about American products, durable and of good quality. There are only two things that need to be improved if possible, namely the problem of price and design so that it can cater to Asian tastes.
So what if the Belaz 75710 is the biggest truck & can haul 496 tons? I don't think they can compare in quality & reliability to a Caterpillar truck! Can they be rebuilt once or twice depending on the condition of the chassis? What about parts & service, I don't think any other manufacturer can beat the Caterpillar Dealership Network it's World renowned, & that's a fact, period!
When talking about the parts of a machine, like the engine, don't just show any engine that it's not the right one for the model being shown, it mislead people to think that a little V8 engine is able to move the whole truck, in reality the engines are 16 or 20 cylinder with about 4000HP and weights of more than 12 tons
Interesting video, but total clickbait. By the way, when you are talking about the C175 20 cylinder, you are showing the 16 cyl version. Where is the Kress?
Well that was a bust, that equipment in the tile is misleading, no such truck, no such thing. Who would love to drive one of these behemoths? Me for one...
That's probably at Caterpillar's own "Tinaja Hills" test site near Green Valley, Arizona, where they sometimes show off their products to new customers. They're shoveling in circles just to keep the equipment busy and see how it performs.
I'd love to see this company or another do this. Come on guys. The world NEEDS a new modern take on the Marian 6360 "The Captain" or the Bucyrus & Eerie "Silver Spade" let's see this happen. In honor of the original monsters.
Not really practical when modern excavators far exceed the workload these old girls could do. The big ones these days can load over 200 tons a minute, even though they're a fraction of the size of the old shovels, they are a lot more maneuverable, are much easier and faster to operate, use less power, and can be either excavator or shovel by turning the bucket around. It would basically just be a novelty machine if someone built a modern version of "The Captain", and it would cost far too much for anyone to entertain it, which is why nobody has I guess. Twice the size, twice the money, and can only do half the work over a longer time? Yeah nah. Nice sentiment though.
@@woopimagpie well I guess I can settle for the CAT 8750 dragline. Still, I think the construction of 1 monster, as a world wide exposition. Would be something to see and experience, indeed. On another note,...They should have kept the Silver Spade as a museum. Many others think so too. As stated in many comments on its videos. Thanks for your thoughts though. Hail the monsters of metal!

How the hell does that dump truck in the thumbnail work
Much nicer than the factory I worked in..
Imagine driving a two-story house down a dirt road at over 60 km/hr, carrying 400 tons of rock.
60 KPH = 40 MPH. Drag racing speeds.

the Belaz may be the biggest but it is also the slowest dump truck to make a turn around trip, the 979 ore the 980 is way faster
