- Just sharing my experience of making my own super quite baffles for vance n hines mufflers on my sportster. This can work for other pipes too with a bit of tinkering.
First ever successful DIY project.Congratulations.
what year & make is your sportster, mine is a 2017 XL 1200 C , I also have the slash pipes with no baffles in it and they are killing my ears I downloaded a DB tester app and when I started the bike it spiked to 111 db then it idled at 88db, and I started my stock 2010 electra glide ultra limited the db's was 85 and very quiet I want my sportster to sound like the ultra limited ps coud you add a list of all the patts used to make these

Hi i have 2020 Iron 1200
You have to join 2 pieces to make one baffle so you need 4 of them. Then if you still want a bit loud sound then dont wrap them.
As you see i have wrapped as i wanted a bit less loud which i am happy with ATM
I’ll buy those old baffles
I have straight shots on a carbed TC 88 with fueling 525. So long as you have no less than 30mm diameter or equivalent at any point the velocity shouldn't suffer.
V&H super quiet didn't work ok, 20mm vents x2.
Quiet baffles are still loud uphill no matter what.
It always makes me laugh that people spend thousands on the bike but cheap out on everything they do.
sort of defeats the purpose of putting the VH slipons on the bike....
I run the S&S tapered slip ons and they sound so much better than VH slip ons plus a deeper note rather than the high pitch crackle u get with VH and look standard
Yay to robbing your bikes power.
Yea agreed however i already have mild tinitus and the normal baffles were killing my ears.
@@rustysaber3566 Should have just wrapped the stock baffles...
Sounds terrible...
