@@highoctanegarage4301 I read and watched those same reviews before I tried them too. I bought a bike with some StraightShots. I also got the Super Q for them since my right ear once ringed for a month after a concert. Now I don't take any risks. Ear plugs in concerts and baffles on the exhaust. I also don't like to be a pain to the neighbours when I go out super early or late night. I certainly wasn't intentionally shielding the mic. It was a non-scientific reading just to give a sense of any sound difference. It was an app from the Google play store. Likely one of the first free ones that come up when I searched decibel reader 👍
The Main reason about this behavior is because you need to remap the bike, the map for standar and quiet bafles are different, so, if you just change to standar to quiet without remap you will get poor performance.
@@Olizart With the stock baffles they sit around 75 to 80, without baffles they sit around 85 to 90 and, because decibel measurement isn't an even progression, at that reading they were unbearably loud 👍

Could you compare original HD exhaust with combination of V&H + Super Quiet baffles? Is combination of V&H+Super quiet baffles much more louder than original HD exhaust?
Forgive me if I have misunderstood but do you mean one pipe with a Super Q and one with an original baffle at the same time? I wouldn't recommend that. Because the Super Q also baffles the engine, making it work harder, each cylinder would be working at different rates, which would likely be a recipe for disaster.

Hi there, unfortunately I never got the chance to find out. The baffles throttled the engine too much for my liking and I went back to the original ones
Super Q aren't good if you have cams with bigger than stock overlap. On decel reversion popping in the pipes spits back into the inlet/carb. Yes they leave low end torque but it's not good to lug at low revs. 500 miles in will be a lot louder under load. Getting them back out after the plastic has melted is a long job. There is no shortcut to digging the fiberglass out with a hooked wire. GLOVES..... Outside. Really, the glass fibre dust will make everything sparkly for weeks. Next time I would definitely take my advice.
man your baffles came out easy, tried to do mine on my v&h longshots, nope not happening, had to grind bolt head off as it stripped even after a good soaking of wd40 then the baffle would not come out, alot of swearing later, {and i mean alot} found another bolt and put it back together, so old baffles stay
Sometimes there's no rhyme or reason. When I took these ones back out it was a two day job with similar problems to you. Ahh, the joys of doing it yourself.
You must have older pipes on your Bike. Remove the bolts securing the baffles in the pipes. Ride it like that for a while. When you notice the baffles moving out a bit, soak them with a penetrating spray liquid overnight. Then ride it some more. If you really want to remove the baffles, remove the pipes so you can stand them on end. Then spray penetrating in and let them sit overnight.
