5 Creative Food Photography Lighting Setups using just ONE Reflector
Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 тра 2024
- In this video, I show you how you can create 5 unique food photography lighting setups using just one 5 in 1 reflector and a few white foam boards. In the spirit of our gear obsessed culture, which I myself am no exception, I wanted to challenge myself to create at least 5 creative lighting scenarios using only one modifier that most of us probably already own.
Hope this helps or inspire you to start creating with whatever you've got already!

Thanks so much for all your awesome videos. I have watched a few now and just totally love your vibe, the videos are informative, fun and easy with easy to replicate set ups. Please keep them coming.
love all your videos, thank you!
Just watched this vid and found it has the same quality as your other vids. This is the former commercial photog and food photog's assistant. If you look at the late 1977-79 issues of Commercial Photography magazine from Japan, you will see how the Japanese food photogs built and lit their sets. Bloody incredible use of diffusion material and lights and very similar to your approach. And observing natural light is very important. Nice work, figandlight.
It really helps me a lot... starting from zero to barely know something now by watching your videos! Thank you!
¡Great job dude! Thank for inspireing us!

Soft and streaks si very interesting. I Guessed it was done in this way but you are the first among all who explained it so clearly. I suscribed immediatly. Thank you

Always kind and generous with your comments, thank you!

Thanks for watching!
Very informative channel. Thank you. I wonder what kind of camera you are using?
Hi, I just found out your channel and instantly subscribed cause I think you make amazing content, all your videos I’m super interesting and I can’t wait to experiment with all these techniques! As I just started with studio photography, I’d really need a “shopping guide” on reflectors, modifiers, stands, backdrops and all these essential props. Do you have any video or suggestions about that? Thank you 🙏
Lighting god✨💯
Great content. Your channel deserves way more subscribers. This is one of the best food photography channels I've seen.
Thank you! I appreciat ethat!
i love your channel. i mean, wow. beautiful and creative stuff man. thank you for sharing the how tos. it's like going to school. :)
Thank you J! I really appreciate that 🙏
Finally !!! I need this....new sub here 😊
Thank you! I'm glad it helped 🙌
Very interesting!! You have the most unique lighting I have encountered in food photography, Brandon. The lighting adds depth towards a simple subject.
It’s a purposive placement of lights but subtle in effect.
Thank you! Appreciate the kind words as always 🙏

Damn, I wasn’t expected so much content
Great video!! Masterclass of Light.. Would love to know more about playing with lights from you...!!!
Thank you Sriparna! I appreciate that 🙏
hey great videos. I was wondering how did you do the wood board where you put the loops bowl on.
This channel needs to be taken to the air🔥🔥
🙌 Thanks Abdul!
@@figandlight I just jumped to your channel while searching for photography tutorial on how IKEA shoot their products. Any place/channel/site you might know? Specifically I'm looking on how to shoot kitchen sinks, which in their websites and clean and sharp.
Thanks in advance ❤️
Wow good and nice! :)
thank you!
Why I did not think about a bounce board stand using clamps?! 🤯 and of course thank you for the tutorial too 😅 this is amazing. Subscribed!
hahah Thanks for watching and the sub Emman!
I love your channel! Thanks for all the info! Where do you get your backdrops?
Thanks Sofía! I get them from a company called Erickson surfaces
@@figandlight Thanks!!
Solid video! Now I need to buy some cereal.
hahah thanks man. Cereal is an okay subject, but always a great meal.
I wish I could give this video multiple Likes, because it deserves more than just the thumb.
great stuff)
you should be a cinematographer :)
Can you please make more videos? Watched many food photography/lighting tutorials, yours by far is the best one of all the videos I watched.
Haha I definitely have some in the process! Right now it's all Lightroom tuts, but more to come even after! Thanks James, I really appreciate that 🙏
Hey, great video ! Thanks so much for explaining it in such a easy way. Just wanted to ask what if you don’t have 1/2 Ctb gel and only have full ctb gel that comes with the basic kit?
I believe the basic kit comes with a full CTb. I could be wrong, I'm sure that info is available on their website
figandlight yes it comes with a full ctb but what I need to ask is what should I do if i don’t have a 1/2 ctb gel ? You are using a half blue gel in one of your setups here to create that golden hour effect. Is there any other way to achieve the desired results without half ctb ?
nice video! but how come in the "soft and streaks", the shadow of that one strawberry has a different direction? is it because of light which passed through the glass hitting that strawberry?
How do you not have 100000s of followers, this is by far one of the best food photography tutorials I found on UA-cam! Many thanks & keep up the good work!
Wow, thank you so much! 🙏
@@figandlight I followed you on Instagram also, you deserve way more recognition! I am really grateful for all the videos you made so far - very eloquent and to the point & you are taking the topic beyond a basic entry level explanation. Best wishes!
That's awesome. I'm glad my explanations help! Thank you for the feedback
@@figandlight I agree with the previous comment. Thank you for this! I don't see a link for your newsletter/email add.
Great videos, thank you. It's difficult to understand why there are so few subscribers - that will soon change, I feel sure. Subscribed.
Thanks Chris!
LOVE the video! is it possible to do this with continuous light?
Thank you!! And yes absolutely!
Hey nice video and useful info! what is the size of your diffuser?
Thanks Alfonso! It's a 40x60
What are you using to attach the reflector to the C-Stand? Thanks!
I am a videographer.
So i should use lasting light..
can i make light art without instant light?
And thank you for video. I am learning and it gives me idea how to make light.
Do you make food video?
Hi Brandon! I was wondering what the names/types of the surfaces are, from Erickson Surfaces? Enjoying your videos a lot!
Hey, yes! they are from Erickson Surfaces. Thank you🙏 for watching!
Hi Figandlight, I have a question for you.. What material surface do you use in your videos?
Hi! What are the clips you use to hold up the foam boards?
