I’ve had 4 cayennes the GTS, Turbo, Turbo S and a 2024 base… In all honesty the 2024 base was the most quiet and comfortable. When I want to go fast I jump in my 992 Turbo… As a daily driver the base cayenne with the upgraded suspension and nice wheels…
Just back from our local Porsche dealership having ordered a 2024 Cayenne Turbo Hybrid V8, for delivery around April next year. Very expensive but our fourth Cayenne. Have looked at the other high end SUVs but always come back to Porsche.
I’m coming from a Q8 to a cayenne. I’m expecting small differences but nothing major. Anyone else have experience driving both for an extended period of time? Both fully loaded
Great and balanced review. Just one thing confused me slightly initially though; you refer to ‘air shocks’ versus ‘ standard shocks’ when I think you were referring to air suspension versus standard suspension
I'm a bit confused if this guy is comparing the Cayenne S to the base model or if he's comparing the air suspension to the standard suspension. I have no idea how anyone can come away with the opinion the air suspension isn't as "sporty". It makes me wonder if the chassis was lifted high, normal or low. There is a reason this comes standard on the Turbo models guys. Years ago I had a normally aspirated V8 S model, then I moved up to a Turbo because the S went to a V6. What a difference... it's an entirely different car. The differences between an S and base might not be as dramatic, but they are there and the V8 makes for a much more fun driving experience. If you have the money, go V8.
As a guy who cannot afford a Porsche, I wouldn’t want the v-8 to be extra. I prefer the s to the turbo. I would imagine middle aged men might have similar opinions
Forgot! Here is a link to the car on the dealer website though. You can call them and I'm sure they'll provide you with the spec. www.porschedowntownla.com/new/Porsche/2024-Porsche-Cayenne--925e316c0a0e0a9a1a8f2410d5da71bd.htm
When considering ride comfort, lane keep assist functionality, audio system quality, and stability, which car would you prefer between the BMW X5 M60 and the Porsche Cayenne S?
@@starshiptrooper4506 BMW engines are reliable than they were a decade ago, I would say you might run into more problems with Audi engine in the Porsche
Great review… i had 2022 with no air suspension.. i regret it due to ride stiffness … thinking to trade it with new s with air suspension.. do you recommend?
I would like to know what you drive for not recommending an air suspension? seems like you are very inexperienced in evaluating luxury cars and options they should have.
Save your money and get an X5 xDrive 40i. A TON cheaper, more reliable, and better MPG. Also looks better, atleast from the front. Porsche looks like a fish! Then get a 718 Spyder as a weekend car 😁
I got mine today. trust me, go for v8, it puts smile on my face every time I step on gas.

Drove the cayenne turbo hybrid prior to the refresh and that thing is fast

Good advice on not getting the air suspension, from a Porsche owner who’s had both … you don’t want air suspension outside of warranty
ive never had trouble with mine.
But does it make huge difference on riding comfort?
Get a great deal on a 22 or 23 Cayenne S with the 2.9TT. You won't notice the difference. From someone who drove both.

You're correct. When I say air shocks I meant air suspension

Super car 🔥🔥 and great review 🙏🏻
It's is an awesome car. Thanks for watching
Are you going to buy a Cayenne S?
On order 👍😃
A Super and perfect Car.😊
Gr. Reyn. 😊😊
Probably trade in my x5m for this....
Drive it first. It's probably not as sporty and not as fast
I wish you would have shared the options list on this!

While its great for the return of the V8 in the S trim, i suspect its probably because they have a lot of the V8 motors sitting around gathering dust.
interesting perspective
Nonsense.
When considering ride comfort, lane keep assist functionality, audio system quality, and stability, which car would you prefer between the BMW X5 M60 and the Porsche Cayenne S?
M60 engine-wise wins. Comfort and handling in Cayenne wins if you opt for air ride. see too many new X5's, cayenne is more exclusive
That 4.4 bmw engine will blow up before the warranty ends.

Good job man.. keep these videos coming. Lemme know when you get your hands on the e-hybrid, lol.
Are they hard to get now?
Yeah man.. I was told that model build will not start until January

Love the v8
Definitely yes

Better with the turbo se hybrid! Faster! 670hp and 3.6 secs 0-60
More money though 😂
But isn't the 2024 BMW X5 M60i faster, cheaper and better value for money?
Haven't driven it yet, but on paper, yes.

Non air suspension. Surely 99% will not option that.
Did this particular car have the full sport exhaust option?
It was the $950 sport tips w bronze finish.
@@DriveSteady So nope
Audi SQ7 with 500hp V8 and many of the same features/platform for $20m less
Funny I was just researching an Sq7 today. That car gets no love
Q7 is a bit of a dated look; but it is a great value
I would love to see you do a side by side on 2024 Porsche Cayenne S and Audi SQ7
There’s no pasm without air
GTS in a year
That's should be interesting!
