    Bilstein 5100s shocks will also give you a lift without any spacer. Plus your stock shocks are probably blown by now.
    Did this to my dad 07 titan just Bilstein shocks all around no spacers needed. And it leveled his front up with the rear. Still keeping the factory springs.

    I was able to replace the front struts on my "05 Titan and '2010 Armada without disconnecting any suspension components. Not sure about Gen2 Titans.

    Had the same problem with getting the balljoint loose. Kept banging it for 2 days. Finally, it came loose. 2005 titan

    The play on the outter tie rod ball joint is normal you test it with it jacked up and wiggle tire back and fourth if it moves inside the knuckle like alot then it's bad

    just a heads up...... be careful to use quality bolts, studs and nuts!!! They work perfectly and are cheap..... but so is the hardware..... I installed a set (not this one in your video) and didn't like the ride... so 6 months after I installed them I went to remove them and 2 of the 3 studs were snapped on both sides!! FYI I torqued them to 22 also so that wasn't the cause. the spacer was in perfect shape.... so check your hardware!

      Thanks for the heads up, definitely will check them out.

    @11:00 -12:00 My new shock & 2.5” lift pad won’t allow the top knuckle to go back in bc the shock is pushing the lower A down. Jacking it only pushes the entire front end up but doesn’t compress the spring enough to bolt the top knuckle.

    • @rosstrittler
      @rosstrittler  6 днів тому

      Try jacking it up at a farther point (closer to the brake rotor). Also try loosening the bolts for both control arms, and then retighten when you have everything connected.

    Never take measure from floor because air pressure in the tire give you different measurements better use border rims top or bottom

    Don't mess with the RC end links, they are junk. Go with PRG or something similar.

    What year titan is this I’m getting a 2009 and I’m going to try to squeeze 3in spacers on. Do you think I can fit 35s on it

    • @rosstrittler
      @rosstrittler  9 місяців тому

      Mine is a 07. If you do run a 3in spacer, you definitely need extended upper control arms and extended sway bar endlinks. You might be able to squeeze 35's on that setup.

      On the early models they were part of the “off road” package, pro4x wasn’t introduced until 2008 or 2009, I think. I have an 05 “off road” package with the ranchos, they finally died this week, installing Bilstiens 5100 this weekend.

    Hit the balljoint with your purse 😂 you smack the side of the knuckle with a big boy hammer and it breaks loose

      No, but they were close. If I'd went with a 3in or maybe even a 2.5in, they would touch.

      @JosephSapp-x6t 8 місяців тому

      Ok, mine are touching. It's affecting my braking. I ordered 2 to 4 inch lift upper a arms. They just arrived today. Also, clunks bad over bumps.
