You should react to his playthrough where he uses no moves that deal direct damage. PointCrow sassed him, so he rushed through the challenge to release it before PointCrow did even though Crow had already finished the gameplay lol

The reason for not catching the “diseased” buizel was that he was scared that the catch would fail and he’ll take damage because of it.

Moses Khiangte It was a shiny Buizel. He only jokingly called it diseased because he couldn't run the risk of it breaking out. He didn't have a net ball at that point, so it was a much, much lower percentage. Not because it would spread. It wasn't a pokerus pokemon. It was just a shiny.

in defense of smallant, i may understand why he killed the shiny buizel. he could only save after each gym, and everyone knows you have to save three times after you catch a shiny. on a more serious note, though, he also may have had to reset and lose his shiny.

Vincentius Garin I said this on another comment lol but I’ll say it here - I honestly prefer a 100% accurate dragon pulse that does 80 points damage over draco meteor with 140 damage but with “only” 90% accuracy. It is scary when I’m counting on my fast Pokémon to knockout the opponent with this powerful move only to miss and get KOed in the process. 😅

That first double battle with the GG teaming up on Dawn's Piplup is actually less surprising than you think, in a double battle wild and/or trainer Pokémon, at least in my experience, will often prioritize attacking the weaker of the 2.

Fun Fact: Pokemon Platinum (possibly Diamond/Pearl, too, I would imagine) is one of the only (possibly the only) Pokemon games to make a comment if you evolve your starter early. Dawn will comment on it.
For whatever reason I always liked doing it on subsequent playthroughs just to get that reaction.

@@mikehurt3290 you need to obtain evey single available Pokémon before every gym, including evolutions. That, among other things, means fully evolving your starter before the first gym. Sometimes it's really insane, depanding on the game you choose. For example, in Gold and Silver, you can get Dratini from the Game Corner. So you have to make enough coins to buy it and evolve it all the way to Dragonite - BEFORE you even fight Whitney.

Yes Mikey SmallAnt is a bit of a mad man when it comes to the difficulty of his challenges but that normally results in him being better at playing against other players and him being shockingly good at speedruns in general

Smallant is a speed runner so he's used to restarting constantly
Tho he is a Mario Odyssey speedrunner not a Pokemon speed runner and I think he does Zelda too. He's just that patient
I caught a full box of Steenee just to find the right nature. I got Jolly for increased speed and lowered special attack, but I wanted Adamant. It took 2 hours, 50 quick balls and 50K Pokeyen 😔

Shoutout to me missing 10 thunders, followed by 4 Dragon Rushes vs Lance's Gyarados and Dragonite.
As for how I survived that long, I "defused" the Gyarados using a Ninetails with grudge, and let the Dragonite kill it's special attack with Draco Meteor

Yeah I've stopped teaching moves like thunder to my pokemon, I've gone for the lower damage/100 accuracy equivalents like thunderbolt and ice beam because of that

Does anyone remember Super Mario Odyssey?
Well,Smallant was trying to beat it without hearing and seeing the game and relying on his chat. In Metro Kingdom/New Donk City,He was trying to do "The Impossible Jump" in the challenge. The problem was that when the chat was telling him to do a cap throw,A man NPC was pushing him into a capturable object. This became the joke of the real enemy was not Bowser but "The Man".

There's at least a reward at the end for shiny hunting. For challenges like this, all you get is all-consuming regret.
@@TheQuashingoftheTub but in the other hand, I believe challenges are more fun in the way of not just battling the same type of pokemon for hours and may not even finding one, you have to complete the story with that challenge and beat the top 4 + champ
personally I did neither but if you ask me, I'd say Shiny-hunting is a bit less fun but it's only my opinion
I mean he uses methods like S.O.S frequently and said himself that he hated random encountering and masuda method breeding. So, he mostly shiny hunts using methods that increase odds but if that method takes a long time, he won't use it such as masuda method
