Well all I can say is we all do things differently !!! I raced these Olds for many many years. I ran every manifold/carb combination known. In my testing, and experience, nothing beats a Edelbrock Torker with a Holley carb. Each combination I ran always liked the Torker best. The worst combination was the dual card set up. For looks on cruises I would throw the tunnel ram on, but as soon as it was over it was always back to the Torker. I even ran my own cam that Isky ground for me.
100% agree. I have a Torker on the shelf. The dual carb is for the car show Wow. I admit that. I don't plan to race this car ever. This will be good enough for the streets.
When using a aluminum intake on big block Oldsmobiles, I trim the tub from a factory style steel shim intake gasket. The tub becomes a oil splash shield, keeps the bottom of the intake a little cooler.
No, not really. I tailored the pistons, rods, cam, intake on the specific build I was trying to do. Have a conversation with a good machine shop and do your research on what kind of engine you're trying to end up with. Talk to a good camshaft manufacturer as well. Most places have very knowledgeable people on the Tech Lines.
Looking forward to the rest of the build 😊
Thanks! Me too.

Got the new on order, looks great.. glad you had time with family and happy to see you back… was just wondering when the next episode would come out.
Thank you sir! I've never been the best with getting video's out consistently. I try, but work and life take my time a lot. Thanks for being here.
Looks good. Will Holley's fit or will you have to use AVS carbs?
Not sure about holley's without an adapter, but I already had Edel. Performer carbs, so.....
Nice. The blue looks good.
Why the dual carbs Hutch? Looks or performance?
@ben68442 looks. I've got a Torker on the shelf if go fast is wanted in the future.
Do you have a build sheet for it? I just bought a 69 Cutlass 445 project and would like to know what parts to buy and cost. Thanks!
