Why would you pay to improve something you have no ownership stake in? If you contributed money towards bills, it’s the same as if you were renting. A renter doesn’t gain any equity in the property as they pay rent. They also aren’t usually compensated for improvements to the property, unless a deal is worked out in exchange for rent, and they may be required to return the property to its original state. Just because you sleep with someone, I don’t think you get anymore rights than a tenant.

My smartest and most "deadly" attorney friend has the demeanor of the judge in Bopp v. Gronitz. The quiet ones who know their power don't bother yelling at people.
Yeah, but I don't think it's as simple as that. I saw a case just like this. I had a friend who was a handyman and owned his own handyman business. He had been dating a girl for 7 years. They lived together, he raised her 2 kids, very similar to this case. She was the head pharma rep and made tons of money, his business did all right. She inherited 5 old houses from her uncle who died. They decided it would be good for him to work on the houses 1 by one, and then sell them all. She supported the house and he did some odd jobs to cover materials for the new houses. It came out that she had relapsed and was getting high and had been having an affair with her new drug dealer, even gave him an std, so they broke up. What sucked tho is he had done all this work and invested the money in it thinking they would he selling the houses and then bam, he had nothing to show for it. Even worse, because he ran his own business his only proof of income was his tax filings, so all of the sudden he was going to have no proof of income, no way to get a place to live, health insurance, etc... It seems like this case is almost exactly the same. Like she doesn't care about property but she just needs to either show work for tax purposes. Honestly it's kind of hard to tell with her representing herself tho.
Shhhhh out of luck but if there was some type of mediation. The gentleman should then add rent & utilities and require her to pay the taxes on the "pay check" she wants for her work. Plus a detailed spreadsheet of what days, hours and details of what she did during those hours. I know she likes spreadsheet but I'm curious of what she would come up with. She probably wants to be paid for that too. Lol
CIR -- Committed Intimate Relationship -- I think she thinks 50% of the improvement value was hers, or she can charge hourly for her improvements as a contractor, who happened to live there and slept with her customer, if no CIR.
While she figures out her ownership value, she needs to deduct all the years of costs she avoided by living with him, with his prepaid, predated capital.

Lol
Children can't have Postpartum Depression. They can experience the effects of the Mother's illness, but cannot have the illness themselves.
Now she is a contractor. Before she was a bookkeeper.
Spreadsheet Karen CAN'T show her face. She is an AI. LOL
"In my head..." crickets. LOL
In her head he had died and she had his house from the will he made when he was ill. She was mentally ready for him to die and have the will executed.
@@da4441 I believe you may be saying this in jest, but, if not, I agree completely. LOL
Ah’Nesia is full blown crazy! She makes “spreadsheet lady” seem normal!
CIR -- Committed Intimate Relationship -- I think she thinks 50% of the improvement value was hers, or she can charge hourly for her improvements as a contractor, who happened to live there and slept with her customer, if no CIR.
Does anyone else get the impression she was hoping he’d die so she could get the 1/3 of the house value when it sold?
Canfield is smirking. 😅

Sheesh! Why doesn’t the judge ever ever stop her ramblings. I’ve had therapists that didn’t let me talk that long. When does she draw breath?
While she figures out her ownership value, she needs to deduct all the years of costs she avoided by living with him, with his prepaid, predated capital.
