    Basically, Grifter Karen is saying she wants to be paid a year's salary for her work on her ex's house - *regardless* of the change in market value during their CIR (i.e., she was banking on his passing and/or benefitting from the eventual sale of his asset, which she would then argue she contributed a year's work to). As Wesley said to Inigo Montoya in The Princess Bride (when told "I must know" [where you got your sword-fighting skills]), "Get used to disappointment."

    None of the Bopp/Gronitz thing makes sense to me, because I'm not a gold digger.
    They weren't married, when you break up, he keeps what is his and she keeps what is hers. If you worked on something that was his, you did so because you were in love at the time. You don't deserve to be paid for that. If you purchased expensive items together(like a house,not household items), sell them and half the proceeds. This taking it to court is ridiculous. Do Not Ever Live Together and sign pre-CIR agreements as to property and income. Other than that Stay Single.

    • @kconway2263
      @kconway2263 Рік тому +1

      Why would you pay to improve something you have no ownership stake in? If you contributed money towards bills, it’s the same as if you were renting. A renter doesn’t gain any equity in the property as they pay rent. They also aren’t usually compensated for improvements to the property, unless a deal is worked out in exchange for rent, and they may be required to return the property to its original state. Just because you sleep with someone, I don’t think you get anymore rights than a tenant.

Assuming it's all up to date and accurate, the court can determine if her data is correct or not. Given how she is waffling and making excuses however, it's extremely probable that the spreadsheets do not exist.

      I suspect that one of the first thing lawyers learn in law school is to NEVER, EVER, EVER lose their cool in court - no matter what. I suspect they have a mantra they recite - something like "I'm being paid by the hour....I'm being paid by the hour....I'm being paid by the hour....."

      This judge is far too soft. Even when he FINALLY makes a ruling, it has no teeth. She was supposed to file a response confirming or disputing items on the list for this summary judgement. She did not do this. The judge rules in his favor, but then tells Karen she can haggle with her ex over specific items on the list post-ruling. He gave her verbal permission to spar over specific items.

    Omg that last one! Why did no 1 bring up this woman saying she'll just give up and go have more kids cause she's super fertile!?!? 🤔 smdh wow 😮🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️🙄 How do u not address that she clearly doesn't have any real emotions to care for those babies and in no way should be allowed them back with that kinda statement! Screw everything else she said! U cannot state something like that and fight for custody at the same time! My heart hurts for the children and i pray us not having anymore of the hearing is all it is and those children go to a home where they are loved and shown how much worth they have! ❤ 🙏

    With anxiety “I don’t know who would be looking for me” is a legitimate answer. When my anxiety was running really rampant I could be walking down the street perfectly certain that something horrible was just about to happen to me - that car coming up behind me was going to jump the curb and hit me, or worse be overcome by some overwhelming sense of dread, the cause of which I could not pinpoint, which would leave me so terrified I would hide somewhere until the city cops would find me and help me get home. Horrible stuff.
    Please note - I am not justifying anything else this lady is saying, but this one answer did strike a chord with me. To this day (40+ years later) I still take an anti-anxiety med every night to help me sleep, with an extra dose I can take during the day, as needed, if I have an attack. They don’t happen even once a month really any more, but can hit 2 or 3 days in a row sometimes when I’m under extreme stress. It stinks, but you learn how to cope and todays meds beat the heck out of the ones available decades ago

    Marriage is a contract. Thats why you get married. If you get the all the same benefits by sleeping with someone enough times then A)why ever get married B) that kind of incentives people to be one and done since you dont want to be committed by accident.

    • @griffisjm
      @griffisjm Рік тому

      Yeah, but I don't think it's as simple as that. I saw a case just like this. I had a friend who was a handyman and owned his own handyman business. He had been dating a girl for 7 years. They lived together, he raised her 2 kids, very similar to this case. She was the head pharma rep and made tons of money, his business did all right. She inherited 5 old houses from her uncle who died. They decided it would be good for him to work on the houses 1 by one, and then sell them all. She supported the house and he did some odd jobs to cover materials for the new houses. It came out that she had relapsed and was getting high and had been having an affair with her new drug dealer, even gave him an std, so they broke up. What sucked tho is he had done all this work and invested the money in it thinking they would he selling the houses and then bam, he had nothing to show for it. Even worse, because he ran his own business his only proof of income was his tax filings, so all of the sudden he was going to have no proof of income, no way to get a place to live, health insurance, etc... It seems like this case is almost exactly the same. Like she doesn't care about property but she just needs to either show work for tax purposes. Honestly it's kind of hard to tell with her representing herself tho.

      Shhhhh out of luck but if there was some type of mediation. The gentleman should then add rent & utilities and require her to pay the taxes on the "pay check" she wants for her work. Plus a detailed spreadsheet of what days, hours and details of what she did during those hours. I know she likes spreadsheet but I'm curious of what she would come up with. She probably wants to be paid for that too. Lol
