Sorry for the late reply! Are you interested in showcasing at the ND one? I feel like builders enjoy their time there. Depending on the MOC I know taking apart and rebuilding is the biggest pain, but I bet the smiles, comments, and pictures people give are worth the hassle :)
If you’re only interested in Lego pieces then yes, stick with Bricklink. The convention is mainly MOC displays, mini figures, and sets :-) Are you looking for custom pieces at all?
Sorry, was on vacation! Great question! So I felt the prices were fair for ‘by it now’ but usually those will be higher than places like eBay bidding because many people are impatient and don’t want to wait for the auction to end and opt to maybe pay more to have it now. I felt some were more expensive, but you are paying for the convenience of having them there. A plus by buying on location, is seeing the box condition and examining the figure to ensure it matches your expectations. Boxes at times get damaged in the mail so sometime it is best to pick up in person at a convention. Also some venders use just straight cash so sales tax is saved, which if you are buying a large set can be super worth it (no shipping fees or tax).
I wonder how they are for builders just setting up a table? There's one coming to Fargo ND in May.

No, thank you for saving me time, money though.
Are the prices on the sets worth it? General figures worth it? Not looking for anything special
