    Competition will take place 19.02.2024 - 26.02.2024

    --------------------------------
Linnahall, also known as Tallinn City Hall, was built in 1980 as a concert and sports venue with a 4300-seat amphitheater, an ice hall and several smaller functions. It is one of the most impressive architectural landmarks in Estonia, yet its future is unclear. The building closed its doors to the public in 2009. Looking ancient and futuristic at the same time, it is not an easy piece of heritage to deal with a pragmatic mindset in the present.
Linnahall continues to raise public debates every once in a while, being perhaps the most discussed and culturally charged piece of architecture in Estonia.
The competition explores possible futures of Linnahall. We will collect visions, dreams, grounded solutions and constructive utopias that could shift the debate away from binary arguments and expand the current sphere of imagination surrounding Linnahall.
    --------------------------------
