It took a while for mine to be really non stick but now it’s great to cook an egg in. They just slide right out, wipe it with a paper towel, and it is good to go.
Hello from New Zealand! Oh I didn’t know you had prepare pans first ! Where’d you learn that trick??! Lol! Great idea! I’ve got a little pan like that and I use it all the time. I love it. Actually I used it today when I cooked two eggs in it at the same time which it handled very well.
You even had a small cutting board and small knife to do your dishes :) The pan looks very well made, you've inspired me to buy one, but larger size for everyday cooking. Looking forward to your next videos!
Very educational. I'm particularly excited to try the last dish sense all the ingredients I grew here on the farm this year. Thank you for yet another deliciously inspiring video❤🍅🥚🌿❤
The egg & tomato dish was really really good. (I just made it) It was a Hugh Taste WOW!! I really don't know what herbs go with what, other than the basics. this dish is easy and delicious and one I will make for years to come. Thank you.
Ooh I didn’t know about using salt and fat together to season! Will try that! Does the same method work for cast iron? Or carbon steel only… new to this 😅
Hallelujah. After month of faffing around with oven baking smoke and fire alarms You come out with this salt and fat curing for steel pan. Godddamn Jimmy I though you had regular freeze-dried shit and you come out with this gourmet shit
My god how much butter did you intake just in this video alone. You’re gonna kill someone lol
I had a heart attack watch you deep fry an egg. Nothing would stick if you put in a pound of butter.
wow i never knew about treating the pan!!! thats amazing
Thank you for this, was wanting to see everything I could do with this pan before I bought it. After your shredded potato dish I’m sold!
So creative. Was wondering what to do with my small pan
That's an awesome skillet, I'm thoroughly enjoying your shows..... I'm looking forward to viewing some more new recipes. Greetings!
Fermented grated potatoes for rosti would be awesome too... yumm that all looked so good
Does your cooking comes with a side of angiogram? The amount of butter used is astonishing... but I bet it all tastes fabulous!
I love this video! Well written and easy to follow
Really good job 👍. I appreciate! Thanks from Belgium

Preparing, or seasoning, the pan is normally done for cast iron and carbon steel. I can no longer remember where I learned that from.
Great video. I've looked at these pans but never bought one...yet!
highly recommend the darto pan N15...free international shipping now!!

Haha, after the kids left the house I had to reduce my cooking portions too 😆
Great tips, thanks!❤️
I could spend hours in that store! Oh and the recipes look scrumptious too...

I got one of these but I seasoned it differently and eggs are sticking to it. I will try your method.
Is this carbon steel pan?
Thank you for your Idea

Great video. I like your atrium.
wait wait wait - the way you did that pan with the salt I have never seen before - can you expand on that?? are you talking a stainless steel pan??
No it is just a plate carbon steel pan. The salt collects the impurities and keeps the pan evenly warm. It is just a quick and lazy way to do it.
not stainless steel, carbon steel
Great video.
We call it 'seasoning' the pan, great video as always.
You are inspiring.
Hallelujah.

Please don't cook tomatoes in CS pans. The oxidation is the thing, and the smell too. Tested it myself.
small is better
WHY with a pan that small everything is a mess you were doing more slopping than cooking
Yes, it was a test. When I get the recipes worked out it will work fine. The small pan is for specific dishes. I have 8 other pans I can and do use.
I recognized that pan in the thumbnail. They sell them in nearly every size at E. Dehillerin. 🙂. Single size, Triple even. Etc.
