- TL;DR if MR SLIN can do it anyone can do it :)
One of these days I'll do a Q&A pulling questions from the comments of my videos. If you have a question, post it in the comments!!

It's fun to imagine this being a live commentary
It is though
@@pique3124its not lol
That you never know what is gonna come through that big door?
the combo often comes through big door though. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
People say that you need an expensive gaming chair to be good but they're all wrong what you really need is a really expensive gaming carpet.
Facs
>idling for hats for 9,000 hours
4:53 how being an invite medic main looks like
When you notice that a year only has 8760 hours :0
Vsoos dang that’s short
If you play TF2 casually but regularly (almost every day for 1-3 hours) you can rack up roughly 1K hours per year. Although those hours only reflect how long the game itself was open, not if you actually played in a server, or rearranged your backpack, or hung out in trade servers, or MLG or Jump servers, or spent time watching or editing playdemo files you have recorded. So looking at the "time per class X" is more accurate, because that only counts actual in-server play time.
Yeah, I already figured that out
You have been pumping out the videos lately Slin.
Rkoffler just like my
bottle of ketchum
Slin uses batch production for his videos, he will not make a video for 8 months then will make 5 videos in two weeks.
I have 13k hours.
Help
Alright, how many hours do you have now?
oof
Maxim Krivov no shut up
@@hackle What why
Dude, get a life
My favourite moments in TF2 are either when the team is actually thankful of me playing med or when the entire server is just having fun (e.g, classic Hightower). This game is absolutely brilliant for how varied it is in both content and playerbase, and I'm honoured to be a part of it. Also, I love the Dunning- Kruger Effect, which many players are examples of, while I always try to be fairly critical of myself and attempt improvement. Working (?) so far.
Actually the stat on the profile page shows for how many hours you had TF2 open. On that same page if you click on "Achievement Progress" then in the top right corner it will show you how many hours of actual playtime you have had.
SemuckiProductions that number doesn't include hours spent on watching demos, spectating, playing mvm and playing on servers with cheats enabled though
I am sorry for your loss
I was on the stream when you reached 10,000 hours
I have a question: People say "stop playing like a bitch" in mge. I'm just avoiding mid bombs and such, toxic or am I actually doing something wrong?
I'd say be more aggressive in some situations. Don't be afraid to risk. Playing too safe means you lose every time. Just my opinion
8:24 "we are like... the most 3rd place team ever - in any game - but we're gonna get second" -Ma3la @ S15 LAN
I see myself asking "wtf are you doing?!" way too often when I watch these demos
I’ll never forget you Slin
I have ~850 hours on TF2, and main spy, and I'd consider a fairly good player, generally speaking in my game, I'm usually top 3 in my team, and top ~5 in the game, but because I don't play comp, and ~850 isn't a lot of hours, so I never get selected for teams, and AU never has any good highlander servers, there's always another spy who has more hours then me, like 478 Como matches, ect, I don't have any unusuals either, but I think, in general, I'm fairly good at tf2
MFreze52 ???
Join a new team that has just formed and stick with them and a decent looking spy unusual costs about 40 Australian Dollars
Hours don’t matter, getting top 5 or 3 in your team doesn’t matter and cosmetics don’t matter. No point in you saying this. Also teams shouldn’t be looking for players with nice cosmetics like that’s pretty dumb. They want to see if u have game sense and decent aim. And yeah ik this comment was a year ago but just wanna let out my thoughts on this comment like
I know people 10 times the stats call themselves trash, and top scoring with spy in a pub is super easy after like 500 hours
that's over a year of total playtime
Question for Mr. Slin: I was inspired by seeing you play in a normal 12v12 pub server to ask this. What would you say is the optimal class composition for 12v12?
Justin Uhac There isnt really an optimal class composition for a pub, Its just a cluster fuck and people cant comunicate, so thats one thing.
But, Maybe the standard comp composition but double or just change a few classes, Or just the higlander composition and add a few flanking and power classes. But in my personal prefrence id say, 2-3 sollies, 1 demo, 2 scootis, a heavy, snip, sphee and a med a pyro, and why not add an enginerr in there. But this is coming out of a dood who has under 1k hours so, Anything can do for a pub i guess
3 Heavies, 3 Medics, 3 Demos, 3 Snipers. Boring and slow, but nigh impossible to penetrate, especially with one Kritz Medic and two Uber Medics. Plus, it's very easy to coordinate; it's just three combos and some snipers fucking around.
Addict of the highest degree
do you think you will go back into comp?
I look away for one second!! Y you post when ever I leave
Mr Slin is the wise old man of tf2
what is your favourite kind of music?
You should've checked your time spent in games and not your overall time, which counts the idle hours too.
What did you graduate school with?
I was playing for a whole week like everyday. When i watched my stats it was 70 hrs :I but not on main acc
By the time it’s January 1st im gonna try and get to 10,000 hours on tf2 also btw there’s 8,000+ hours in a year
Mr slin, what got you to main medic?
u spent 1 year constantly playing tf2 congratulations!
KillerQueen only 8000+ hours in a year
i have 6k and still cant reach anything because bad internet and fps 😤
Yup. I totally relate.
i feel you
Same here
what was that steam skin?
Carnage Johnson? As in Complexity Carnage? The Meatshots??
Not sure if it's march 30th as a joke.
Ya know what's depressing about TF2?
I wish i could remember everything that happened these past 6,000 hours in-game. Not like a perfect recording, but. I wish i could remember just 1 moment out of each session of playing. Good, bad, boring. Not even a perfect memory, just lil details like: I know it was payload, and I know there was this scout i was fighting. I don't remember his name, but I do remember what his scattergun was named. God.
Just 1 clear memory within each hour. Like a single screenshot taken of a random moment.
But thing moments I want to remember the most are the beginning. my first kill, my first death, my first drop, my first backstab, my first headshot. first air shot. first uber. first time i played spy. & the first time I played demo &..... no wait
I remember the first time i played demo
I remember it vividly cause I told myself: "I WANTED to main SPY. BUT it's too HARD. And DEMO is TOO HARD to main." It was snowy map barnblitz, there's a ladder at last you can walk up onto the roof. I was running up that ramp and jumped off the roof when I thought that. Wow. My earliest memory of TF2
...............
:default dance:
...... just realized my earliest memory in TF2 was giving up on interesting classes & doubting my ability.
10,000 hours, geez
FrostFry ikr 10k hours and he’s still shit
hey slin ive been wondering how you've disabled the medi beam on med?
Sibby Owl Comet viewmodel_fov 0
He means the beam itself which can be done with a particle script. You can find a good one on tftv.
this is great and all but is that a printed picture of you eating a banana in the background
Well for me I don't do it as a full time job so I don't have that many hours but I do have that experience! And believe it or not I started playing exactly when you did! So technically I could have had those hours but I'ma not a computer zombie so I don't.
i feel like your facecam is a little of from your voice but idk looks like you recorded it over
"5 years, not 5 hours XD"
hard thing to me is learning to play demo. Stickies and pipes are so fucking slow, and i HATE dealing with scouts
10 000h on steam isn't actually 10 000h of game played, especialy if you're into trading a lot. It varies for everyone, but some people have only a couple thousand hours actually played out of many thousand hours ingame. I bet for you it's pretty high knowing you're playing high level comp, but id say it can only be as high as 90% because it counts getting in the game, connecting, waiting in queues, organising bakpack...things everyone does. And for idling accounts it's 0% of course. I thought youd mention that, it doesnt mean much, it's just a number, but it's still important imo to know how much you have actually practised your classes.
I've been wondering for so long, what is the number below your uber% number?
Divine its a timer to keep track on the enemy's uber
oooooh ok, thanks!
10k hours in tf2 and 5k hours in wow... lord
Then again i have like 6k hours on minecraft so
I literally DON'T understand what can you do for 10000 hours in this game!! I am insanely BORED for my 2k hours. I've tried every mod this game provides, every class, rocketjumping, marketgardening, parkour, dodgeball, screamfortress, zombie mod... EVERYTHING! I have NOTHING LEFT TO DO!!! I still love this game and FORCE myself to play it once a month, but there is nothing left that pushes me there again. I can't understand how much you have no life to be interested by TF2 for that long XD
oh wow i learned this at 2k hours, maybe i shouldn't beat myself up everytime i fail
I weakness is air-shooting
Tip #1: Go to Slin's stream.
Tip #2: Learn all of the local memes and make new ones.
Tip #3: Enjoy life there.
On a serious note, I'm glad the people at your stream and chat have slightly marked your life (not me, I focus on making your streaming life harder and annoyed).
Please, never retire. I really appreciate your streams, they are genuinely a lot of fun and -many times- constructive.
:)
when i was f2p and heve like 300 hours i was better then now with 1000 hours and i still play full time i dont get it whats wrong ?
【H̷̸̲̅A̷̸̲̅C̷̸̲̅K̷̸̲̅E̷̸̲̅R̷̸̲̅】 what’s wrong is that you’ve been holed up on your room so much u can’t speak normal English and that you’re playing a dead game like
Nathan Sapio update your profile pic buddy lol
hello
Do you have a 600 dollar gaming carpet
I only have 3,000
ok buddy did you think i would skip that you have a poster of yourself eating a banana
obviously not how to play heavy
Moral of the story
NO GODDAMN LIFE!!🤣
Carnage Johnson? Do you mean Carpet Johnson?
that screen tearing tho
These videos are so unsynced that it hurts to watch, so I just play it in the background instead.
10,000 hours on tf2 is 27 years
I know this is an older video (And you therefor will probably not even see this comment), but how is your game so bright?
Changing the brightness...
your wallpaper...........................................................
I have 1000 hrs in one year
they say it takes 10k hours to master something.
isaac cringe 😂
Collaide kids right smh
I see you acquired your vocabulary by watching leafyishere's videos
Saying that is also rich as you do not have any videos yourself.
Yes you will. I am trying to bait you into degeneracy here.
what you said is cringy because you dont know what you're talking about.
Dont forget to like comment and subscrine
I only have an hour haha
Nothing.
HAH
Can you stop facecam please? XD
``Here is my profile just to proof that I have 10 000 hours`` Shows no profile, just the game
İ have fuckin 3 thousand hours :/
whenever someone says "I have x hours in tf2" I always get kinda annoyed :P mainly because the steam in game time is rarely accurate, I have 4000 on steam but according to my class stats I only have 1400. Don't really know how it could be so inaccurate.
AstorStar that bcas... even if u r afk but Ur tf2 is running(even not in a server) it counts u as playing. that the reason
AstorStar well it says that i have like 900 but i have 2600...reseted stats do that...and u might not have played all the hours and stayed idle or at the menu
so I've spent 2600 hours afk... I don't think that right.
AstorStar if u dont believe me... start you tf2 then...be afk for 2 hrs. then close it...the Ur steam will show last played today for 2hrs
AstorStar remaining time not just means u r afk, u might be spectation, not in a server, etc etc
Kappa what you learned in 10k hours is u can play a lot and still be bad Kappa
😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠
It's intentionally cringe, learn to meta
you are asian
im not rasist because im asian
euh
You wouldn’t be “rasist” if you said the top part and nothing else? Hello what the fuck
Fix your mic you big goober
After 10,000 hrs, you know your life is wrong, realy wrong.
an hour of TF2 a day on average in 10 years is more than enough for 10k total playtime
What a waste of time
Things:
You aren't good.
Focus on your goals.
Practice enough to be consistently good.
Have a good attitude.
Mr.Slin never responds to comments ):
Try being interesting and not begging for replies.
I miss the old times when tf2 was just a casual game. Now it's all competitive. Valve why
Filip Gala it's only like 5% if the community that's competitive
Filip Gala wtf are u talkin on about mate
It doesn't stop you from playing casual tho
valve has nothing to do with tf2 comp
Valve caved in to the people yelling "Valve, add competitive matchmaking" and gave us comp matchmaking.
How about you use the next 10000 hours to learn how not to drop ubers, or people. Or aim with scout, and sniper, and how not to get kicked by your team, maybe learn how to get in invite. Those are just suggestions you know
