- In this video I briefly discuss the skills you should practice in a DM server as well as the mindset and attitude that you should have when practicing.

Overwatch is DEAD.
This mindset is why I like playing on pubs so much. Sure the players aren't as difficult to deal with (most of the time), but you learn to keep track of the enemy 12 players, and you learn how to carry a team using your own skill and of course, positioning, and learning to recognize opportunity.
Like b4nny says, you should avoid 1v1. Being good at 1v1 is good, but being at group vs group(or even group vs 1) is better, because these situations are more preferable anyway. And if it's you vs group, then you're getting better at getting away\staying alive\committing. Indeed, dm is much better than 1v1 which happens rarely and is not preferable(preferred to be avoided) anyway.

i cant finds dm servers. (in europe). just dm_duel, and thats not the same.
I had the same trouble, but as DomoTF2 said, if you go to teamfortresstv website there is a tab with servers, you click Europe and you have dm servers, mge servers, etc... There is only 4 dm servers and most of the time only 1 is populated, it is either the French one or the Dutch, occasionally both. Keep in mind that you have to wait a little to get in the server sometimes as it is in its full capacity.

I checked it now and those DM servers are the ones that already are in the teamfortresstv website. Nevertheless, thanks for sharing!

I love how comp players have very different opinions on both MGE and Soap DM, some say that MGE is worthless due to it being very unrealistic while others say that Soap DM is worthless due to it being too messy and that it only creates overly aggressive players.
Its true everyone has a different opinion, But a few things are facts: Mge: makes your dm better, dm: makes your dm better and focussing on more things.
If you want a faie fight 1v1 play mge, If you want to learn how to deal with a unfair fight play dm.
+Frans Sontag both mge and dm are very useful tools if you are aware of the bad habits that they can breed. it's important that, while you play a lot of dm and mge, you are playing 6's frequently as well. if you nolife on dm or mge, then those bad habits are going to become a permanent part of your playstyle.

Damn, why didn't you record this when I actually needed it? Well, I guess I learnt the lesson on my own.
I used to make all of the mistakes you highlighted at the end of the video, and knowing them beforehand would have been so much better.

Can't really find any Soap DM servers in EU that have more than 1 player in them.

you should make a dm mindset for demo or soldier
that would be awesome
but if you soldier and you must initiate fight, so those advices doesnt work very well for soldiers. no, i see, you need to trust your scouts to finish your damage but where you need to go in the actual fight and some nonobvious issues, if you understand what i mean..
Any Asian DM servers with good community? I do have a DM server (map 2fort) saved in my fave servers tho but most players start at around midnight.
What's the opinion on demos in these servers? A type of cancer, or a valid form of practice? Both sticks and pipes? Etc.

im so tired of mge now, used to be fun but im tired of spending 3000 hours trying to get better, my dm only gets worse, doesnt help when your other friends can play for 3 days and easily beat you
also fucking annoying when all people play is scout in mge and spam double jump and airstrafe and ur shit never regs
ppl are huge dm lords but in a lobby or pug they cant do shit

You're probably still bad because you not learning from your mistakes and not thinking of what you're doing wrong.
In MGE don't just play and just leave think of your movement and aim, think how you can bait rockets or play close and abuse left and rights, etc.
