Thank you for an educational video. But some points need clarification. 1. Start up or Motor Inrush current, agree that it can as high as 3x the Full load current, but this inrush current is needed only fraction of a second. What is the EER and SEER of the inverter AC? Of course if the AC is hooked up to solar energy system then it won't effect you bill at all.
Inverter unit is like disposable unit, they give 5 to 10 years for the compressor, because they knew that the circuit board or inververt board will damage first, if any abnormality in the operation of the unit, and the warranty of inverter board is only 1 years, and if its damage after the due date, the price of the board is more or less a half price of the new unit.... And they telling a 50 to 80% energy saving? No its not... But for your curiosity buy one and let say what is your feed back regarding inverter unit.
Invertor ac an work in DC supply also, so it can work in solar DC power without invertor. Invertor ac can work in low voltages also, stabiliser is not required
@@markk2745 Inverter a/c units are soft startup which eliminates the need for panels double or even triple the locked motor ratings found in regular airco.
Seems like you forgot to talk about the cost that might incur when one or more electronic board in the inverter AC gets damaged. For example you might think that you have saved ₹10, 000 annually in electricity bill. And when an electronic board in the inverter AC got damaged, in average it would cost around ₹10, 000 and the availability of the spares is questionable. Now decide which is better.
So true. Inverter A.C. is simply a waste of money. I had the same issue. Literally the company couldn't even fix it as it became a complicated issue. We had to discard the A.c
In Mexico almost nobody wants the inverter type precisely because the reasons you stated, also the power from the electrical company is not very stable and the electronics are very sensitive to power fluctuations and can be easily damaged, the parts are difficult to find or are very expensive some places flat out refuse to sell or service them.
After servicing (repair), I found out that the fellow has bypassed the board completely and now it acts like a regular AC. The kind of service work done is horrible.
Cost of parts, Inverter AC boards and parts are very high as compared to normal ac parts. The price of the boards (especially outdoor board) is over half the cost of the ac.
i've watched a few of these videos, and this one is very good; however they all fail to address the elephant in the room, humidity. Relatively dry air feels cooler at a given temperature than humid air because moist air contains a lot of heat energy. A major part of aircon operation is concerned with removing humidiy and this process consumes a lot of power. You will probably have noticed that if you leave an airconditioned building, when it is hot and humid outside, your glasses/sunglasses fog up immediately - this is because the glasses were cool inside the building and were surrounded by a layer of dryish air - on contact with moist air the low temperature of the glasses causes the moisture in the air to condense onto the lens. What I'm getting at is that a significant advantage of inverter aircon is that the humidity level in the room is kept at an optimum level for the selected temperature and it is much easier and more energy efficient to maintain this level than to start from scratch every time the compressor starts up. I live in the Philippines and my aircon costs a lot more to run at this time of the year (wet season) than say January or February - dry season, despite an almost constant outside air temperature.
Inerter ac is also better for heating than normal ac. Normal ac cant heat if the outside temperature is below -5°C (theoretically, practically it's struggling at 0°C already) and inverter can. If price difference in your country is only 10-15% I would buy inverter with no doubt. In my country (I mean in whole europe probably) price difference between the inverter and non inverter are like 40% and still we do reccomend inverters as better choise.
Some parts are correct. However for electric consumptions, if he is referring to ideal condition (same size room and insulated properly) - yes inverter is better. In closed room the inverter is the way to go. But for living room or room with lot's of leaks (windows with direct sunlight) - inverter or non-inverter are the same (maybe inverter electric consumption are more) due to the compressor will run at full speed for longer to achieve set temperature hence there's no point for using inverter which cost more. So the electric consumptions of inverter or non-inverter air-condition depends on where it is used and optimum cooling power size (i.e: BTU vs Area). If you use 1HP unit for large area, it will run at full speed for longer duration and compressor will be frequently one-off\low-high speed which cause higher electrical consumption and wear-tear. So to save electric bills, do calculate your room size and what cooling power it requires. If In ideal condition yes the video is correct however need better example. Thank you.

Then normal ac only indoor board controol in system(outdoor - only capaciter, contater) so Maitanence charge very low.then no long time spend. I have carrier ac window 1.5 ton ,,worked well 12 years without even a single problem... Inverter technology sounds good, but has yet to prove long life.thanks
The compressor restarting does not use 3x more energy. The issue is normal ac's do not shut off very often and have pretty dumb controls. Inverter ac's usually have humidity sensors and other sensors, these are what save power. While keeping you more comfortable.
Normal AC: High starting wattage (2 x running wattage) But it's condenser is often off (saving a lot of power) Inverter AC: No surge wattage and uses about 30-40% less power Condenser is always on But without the data there is absolutely not enough information to say the idle state f the normal AC does not save more power than the continuous power wattage state of the inverter AC (and vice versa). Without the maths no conclusion can be made about true efficiency
There are plenty videos on UA-cam where different practical experiments are performed on monthly basis showing the power consumption, and the results are in the favour of inverter AC showing less power consumption. You can check those videos out as well.
If you buy and use an inverter AC, the money you saved from electric bill will be used to buy a brand new AC when your inverter AC breaks down. 1st, the refrigerant used is 410a w/c is very expensive. 2nd, no serviceable parts. Once broken you have to replace
it's the direct current (DC) compressor that uses half the power of an alternating current (AC) compressor to compress the same amount - that's why the CEER for dc compressors are up to 2x higher than ac compressors - all dc compressors require an inverter board to control/run it hence they are called/discribed as "inverter" air conditioners
Some inverter AC compressors do turn off under certain circumstances. For example, if the temperature is set to anything higher than 24°C in a small room (such as bedrooms), the compressor might turn off, especially during a rain. However, when it restarts, it instantly adjust to its lowest speed instead of starting at high power
Those whose normal AC is working fine and who can't afford a replacement might use my workaround. I force a normal AC to run continuously rather than cycle on and off. I do that by turning it on and setting a cooler than normal temperature, say 70 F. When it reaches that temperature, I switch the AC off completely. No cycling on and off. I watch and when the temperature reaches a much warmer temperature, say 82 F, I again turn it on and let it cool down to 70 F. That 70 to 82 temperature swing isn't as comfortable, but it will save on electricity and extend the life of the AC. And you may save enough over time to afford an inverter AC when it does need replacement, particularly since the prices of those are likely to come down over time.
Thanks. I have couple of LG Normal (Non Inverter) ACs, running fine for 15 yrs. might spent couple of thousands for maintenance or small issues. Today thought of considering to take Daikin Normal. Because i hear No more Normal ACs from LG and so-called Daikin branding. not sure if this is the right option.
I heard that inverter ac PCB would damage easily . The cost of repairing is too much that's why companies give only one year warranty on inverter ac . Since last three years do you have any problems in inverter ac. Thanks
R410A or R32? They're almost the same. We have a Daikin inverter split type R32 and a Whirlpool inverterplus split type R410A barely any noticable difference. We use them for nearly 8 years now, its still going strong, we only maintain and clean them once a year.
Nice explanation, but it is not worth the difference in money if you use it only for cooling, it is not using so much more power. And when it breaks, it will be much more exoensive to fix inverter.
@@Nathaniel_Peterson If you have money it's ok, but difference in price is not that small just for a quiet home. If we talk only about needs for cooling.

Thank you.

If you buy and use an inverter AC, the money you saved from electric bill will be used to buy a brand new AC when your inverter AC breaks down. 1st, the refrigerant used is 410a w/c is very expensive. 2nd, no serviceable parts. Once broken you have to replace
Isle of Mann to kya inverter ac na le normal ac m bill boht ata h
Thanks for putting this together. It provides enough information to help me easily decide.
Very simple but very effective, all doubts cleared. All this while i thought inverter ac means which cam run on inverter
I'm so happy I watched this video before getting myself an Ac
it's the direct current (DC) compressor that uses half the power of an alternating current (AC) compressor to compress the same amount - that's why the CEER for dc compressors are up to 2x higher than ac compressors - all dc compressors require an inverter board to control/run it hence they are called/discribed as "inverter" air conditioners
Very well explained, even a fresh person can understand easily, keep rockzzzz.,
Some inverter AC compressors do turn off under certain circumstances.
Brilliant, detailed, short comparison video among the 2 A/C's. Great job my friend!'💯
Untill i watched this video i wouldnt understand how inverter AC works. Thanks alot
Thanks
My inverter AC board got spoiled and Samsung asking for 15000 to replace
you are Wright
Pr panasonic compnay aur Samsung 5 saal pcb ki gurnate de rhe h lekin thoda menga
R410A or R32? They're almost the same.
We have a Daikin inverter split type R32 and a Whirlpool inverterplus split type R410A barely any noticable difference. We use them for nearly 8 years now, its still going strong, we only maintain and clean them once a year.
Very well explained. Covered all the technical aspects beautifully. 👍
You explain it so simple and clear
I like your presentation, I am following your page straight up. Good job bro🤝
Genius work ! Very very helpful and informative ! Many Thanks !! Love from Pakistan 🇵🇰
Inverter a.c. spares parts are so expansive? Compare with normal a.c. ?
Finally, I understood the difference, thanks
Excellent video. Short and to the point. Thank you.
Those 5star inverter& 5star non inverter can consume same energy inverter could not save electricity pls check the star label for both ac customers 😊
You are right. An inverter AC can consume more than a traditional AC if not properly sized or having a weaker star rating.
My brand new box air conditioners run all the time and don't turn off so is that saving power compared to the normal AC you mentioned.
You have explained it very well like a 10th class answer. Superb work
Really very well explained. With knowledge, you seem to have good explaining skills also. Thank you !
Short and to the point. Really liked the video. Thank you. I'm looking for an AC
Very simple and compact explanation
Great job! Your explanation is very easy to understand
Nice explanation, but it is not worth the difference in money if you use it only for cooling, it is not using so much more power. And when it breaks, it will be much more exoensive to fix inverter.
If you value having a quiet home, the difference is definitely worth it. Conventional ACs can be extremely loud.
@@Nathaniel_Peterson If you have money it's ok, but difference in price is not that small just for a quiet home. If we talk only about needs for cooling.
@@BlastbeatNS Yeah, there's certainly subjective value placed on silence. Some people seem to tolerate the noise quite well, even prefer it during sleep. Personally, I prefer dead silence during sleep and waking hours, so a quieter AC is worth a lot to me, even if it means spending an extra $75. I try not to make splurge purchases, but I've never regretted the ones that have improved my sleep.
@@Nathaniel_Peterson That is very small difference in prices. Over here inverter AC is almost double as on/off one, and I talk about regular ones, not high quality.
@@BlastbeatNS Wow, that is quite a difference. I was comparing online prices for 12,000 BTU units in the US. Inverter units are about $460 USD with conventional units being about $385 or so. What country are you in, if I may ask?
Very very well explained thank you🤗....sir 16/12 room k liye 1 ton invrtr ac le aur 1.5 ton??..
Thanks Dear it's very informative and easy to understand
Big Thanks to you brother from Saudi Arabia ♡♡
Is the outdoor unit need a specific 🔌
PLUG 🔌 in case of inverted Ac ?
Appreciate your support and keep on it’s really a valuable effort from you
No, the power to the outside unit is supplied from the power terminals present on the inside unit.
Very good explanation and beautifully presented. Now that inverter AC uses ozone friendly refrigerant, I can use my AC guilt free. Thanks
Also throw some light on single inverter, dual inverter and Triple inverter ACs
Hi sir I need clarification on inverter AC like here local /company technician is told me that inverter ACs are getting more problems in PCBs indoor/outdoor very frequently and PCB cost is too high ...pls clarify on this I am asking to getting knowledge pls share some knowledge... to your followers it is soo appreciable too..
looks good in theory, but practicality is somewhat different. Please contact your local service providers before opting for a new one.
May Allah (ﷻ) bless you for this amazing video
Osum Bro! Nicely explained in simple layman language! Thanx
Presentation was very easy to understand.
Can we uesd back the same piping? almost 10 years Aircon cooling ok
normal AC to Invertor Ac
Keep the old piping safe ??
sir if I use 4 to 5 hours in a day for approx 5 months in high humid area should I buy inverter or non inverter ac.. also guide me the spare parts expenditure for the above mentioned two type acs..
Currently, I have a normal AC and I’m wondering if the cost to run it continuously or turn it off and on throughout the day. I live in the country where the electrical cost K/HR is very high.
You did not mentioned maintenance cost for any repair/service/spareparts which is very important.
Very instructive video !!! I understand now very well the difference between normal ac and inverter ac !!!
In normal ac my electrical energy cost during summer was 4000 to 5000 rupees. But after changing to inverter AC, my charges reduced to Rs. 2500
@Truth Comes Thanks for the information
@Truth Comes What's the model number of the Anti-Mosquito AC you have? Have you actually seen any difference? Are mosquitoes actually away? Most of these ultrasonic stand-alone devices seem pretty shady. I've used lots of them. None worked.
Truth Comes chutia bnato h company mosquito krke bs paisa bdhan hota kbi bilge filter lga
@Truth Comes which company Ac are u using
Explanation at it's best!!
Keep it up!!
