Outside Yunkai, Daenerys , her advisors and her Unsullied army stand ready to greet the slaves of the city and free them. When they arrive, Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel) tells them that Daenerys has freed them, but Daenerys tells the slaves that only they can take their freedom back. The crowd begins to chant "mhysa", which Missandei tells Daenerys is Ghiscari for "mother." Daenerys passes her army to walk amongst the freed slaves, who lift her to their shoulders. Daenerys smiles and looks up into the sky as her dragons fly freely. - Фільми й анімація
Oh poor girl you have no idea what they will do to your character
kartikeytiwari37 Its just in the earlier seasons her enemy were bad people. In this one, they just happen to be innocent people. For her it was never about who was innocent or bad- it was just about who was against her. Besides, as she came closer to the throne she became more and more obsessed with it. You could see how insecure she felt when she found out Jon is the rightful heir. I am sure if he said he wanted the throne, she would have executed him too.
@@cwazychik sounds like a bunch of excuses for bad writing...
@@cwazychik there was nothing in her way anymore, the lannisters are defeated, she only needs to kill cercei, at the very worst just burn down the red keep, instead she systematically burnt Kings landing not missing an inch. She's always care about the weak, women, children, this mhysa scene is one of the many proves. Burning thousands of children, women, innocent alive, it's violating her own foundation character that made her who she is.
I want to insult you for saying that but I know I can't insult people over a fictional character.
@@cwazychik She went to DEFEND THE NORTH!!!!!!!!!
She alone would've conquered the throne very easily after "Loot Train" Battle.
Also she SAVE HIS LIFE TWICEEEEEE!!!! Losing a Dragon once.
She choose to go north first with no need.
Also Jon became the traitor. She always love him.
And falling for him was her biggest misttake besides Tyrion as hand.
I hate this starky ungrateful idiots.
Without Dany the Night King or Cersei will be ruling Westeros.
House Stark gone. But they keep talking about Daenerys.
You all treacherous serpents of Westeros.
It WaS FoReShdOW YOu sEE!
-D&D probably
This is the real Daenerys, She wouldn't even think about killing innocent people
But D&D thought that was fun some shock value. What a pair of dumbasses.
She didn’t, Bran worged Drogon like a bitch.
She wouldn’t dare kill innocent people.....as long as they view her as their savior and worship her as a hero. The people in Westeros (the common people) viewed her with disdain. That was Cersei’s doing since she did a heavy smear campaign of Danaeyrs before she arrived. But Danaerys failed to see that the people of Westeros were exhausted from decades of war and death and the throne changing again and again and again-each time with someone promising change for the common people. Daenyrs became a victim of her own previous success and adulation. She just couldn’t comprehend why and how the people of Westeros didn’t flock to her as easily as the people of Yunkai, Astapor and Mereen.
By the time she came to Westeros, she was intoxicated with her own mythology and remained oblivious to her entitlement to the throne
She also spent too much time among the Dothraki and other groups of people across the narrow sea who admire and respect ruthless conquerors. She kills the masters-they cheer her. She burns the Khals alive and the Dothraki bow to her. She sits on top of a dragon and they cheer her (whereas in Westeros, they’re terrified of her). In Westeros, people love their leaders for their inspiration and the image of magnanimity (whether is was true or not)
Daenerys also should have come earlier.....during Joffrey’s reign. The people had no love for Joffrey. The north had no love for the Boltons. The Tyrells would have immediately flocked to Daenyrs because they’re sycophants and the Dornish would have bowed to Daenyrs in thanks for killing house Lannister.
When she did arrive, John snow already liberated the north and had their allegiance. People were grateful to Cersei for freeing them from the harsh rule of the Sparrows. Also, people were just tired. From Robert Baratheon to Joffrey to Tommen to Cersei. People probably thought “Well she’s nowhere near as bad as Joffrey and she did away with those pesky sparrows.” Plus Cersei learned from her previous mistakes and put in a tremendous effort to build up her image ....even if it meant assasinating everyone who mocked her. By the time Daenyrs came and proclaimed to be their liberator, people were like “Not again. Why?”

Coming back here after season 8. THIS is the real Daenerys. A ruthless yet also kind ruler who has love from her people. The writers completely butchered her character now
Without proper character development Dany would have never killed innocents. And surely if she had already won the war and she wasn't forced to generate some war casualties. Waiting for surrender before making her destroy the city was stupid and i didn't buy it.
This scene completely missed the point of Daenerys in the books and made me worried about the direction of the show in season 3. After season one and kind of season 2, her character and her portrayal began to dramatically diverge from the books, where she was a much darker and more tormented character.
hamish veitch Have you read the books? She feels it's her responsibility to rule even though she longs for a simpler life. And she cares for the people. When the people were sick she walked amongst them though all advised against it. She has a ruthless nature she tries to balance with a gentle heart. She feels she needs to be ruthless so people take her seriously. Now I can see a Mad queen arc being set up. But unlike the show, it will be setup. Not hinted at.
People change when they have power. Her lust for power and obsession for the throne overtook everything. I have known good people who become corrupted and they feel its their right to be above everyone just because they did good once.
@@cwazychik Yes but changes takes time. Literally 2 episodes before, she sacrificed almost her entire army to defend the North from the White Walkers. She named Gendry, the son of a traitor to her father Lord of Storm's End. She was always capable of violence but always towards her enemies, never to the innocent. Going from that to burning down thousands of civillians in just a very short time is ridiculous. The worst thing she could've done that is actually believable is tearing down only the Red Keep with all the people inside, but instead she decides that the people should be burn too just because what again??
This is how I prefer to remember Daenerys...HBO writters ruin her character.
They made her mad because of... Reasons?! What a shame
They kill her in two episodes. And ruined the last season.
Dany will never harm the innocents, she liberated the slaves and protect the opressed people.

Unbelievable how D&D butchered Dany's character in 2 episodes for the starky happy endings. They ruined GOT.
I can't stop thinking about this, I'm so heartbroken 💔
I am very upset with the last 2 episodes of Season 8 (they turned Daenerys from a savior/slave liberator to a Mad Queen). They screw up her characteristics.
It's heartbroken what they did to her character.

It's a shame how Dumb and Dumber ruined such a great character
This is why bran is dead inside. He watched season 8 earlier and what we see now it's his reaction.
It’s worth noting that season 3 is where they started going seriously offbook with Daenerys’ framing. Scenes like this were essentially made up by Dan and Dave way back in season 3. The problem ironically is that dan and Dave had to turn their more heroically portrayed version of Daenerys back into the book version.
How?
Martin told D&D years ago the "broad strokes" of how the story will end. So even though many details will probably differ between the show and the books, it is likely that Dany turning evil is how the books will end as well.
@@darth856 The story beats themselves work fine, but the story is so condensed, so truncated that the entire thing falls apart.
If she dies i'll burn the books
I'm kinda hoping she will. She gets more annoying with every episode.

Renegade Cz Read the books, and you'll lose your mind.
I don't want her to die, but I want her to suffer some setbacks. She had it too easy. I mean, she succeeds at almost everything she does. She's becoming a little boring.
I could care less for her. Barristan, Melisandre and Jorah are wayy better characters. She trashes the Starks and views Ned as an evil bastard. She is not meant to rule, only to conquer winter, that is all, then she will die.
How dare the writers butcher this amazing character !?????
How have you not seen her character transformation? This was the climax of her character. She was never going to rule justly. She's always played against the rules.
@@josebatt135 So? Her character is agressive. Even when she was at her worst moment she goes out like champ. Example when is just one day she lost her khal, her son, and the whole khalasar leaves her in the dessert.
She became mothes of dragons. That it's Dany. Free people like in Yunkai with no need. Yorah advices her otherwise "We have 200K(slaves) reasons to take that city".
Not this monster that nobody knows.
In did is unbelievable how D&D butchered Dany's character in 2 episodes for the starky happy endings.
Not only her, Jon, Tyrion, Arya, Jaime, Euron, Barristan, Doran, stannis, Melisandre and bunch of others.
Somehow I agree with both sides of the argument. Daenerys always had a dark side, however, her character ending should've been her resisting that dark side and choose saving people over ruling them.

I feel like “people learn to love their chains” is a very under appreciated. She acknowledged that her marriage with Drogo was not a healthy relationship. Such an important moment of character development.
She has always been aware of the world's inequality; when Dany finds an opportunity to change that herself, she doesn't think twice and does it.
it's also such a true statement. When the slaves in America were freed, suddenly you had countless people with no place to live, no idea how they were going to earn their next meal. Many went right back to working for their former owners under contracted pay (which wasn't too much better than slavery) all because that is what they knew, what was familiar to them.
Not wanting to be boring, but it wasn't just the US that had a slave regime...in fact, THE ENTIRE AMERICAN CONTINENT was under a slave regime until 1889, when the last American country, Brazil, which happens to be my country , abolished slavery.
That's why I'm so supportive of Daenerys's decision to avoid giving in to slaveholders as much as possible. IT IS NOT FAIR THAT A PERSON CAN SAY THEY OWN ANOTHER ONE JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE MONEY.
@@kurapikakurutabr I think most people are aware that other countries than the US had slavery. And slavery isn't the root evil here--it's driven by greed, which is driven by selfishness, which is caused by lack of empathy. Dany's character had empathy because she herself had suffered, and she got out among the people and experienced their lives, too, so she knew how they felt. The "character slowly goes insane because of a family trait" trope is too overdone in fiction, and it undermines the experiences Dany gained as she developed in the story, weakening the character and the narrative overall...at least the film version.
Many people say this is a weak season ending. I think this is probably the most powerful scene of all 6 seasons so far. This is the moment when we realise Dany is the savior of all the people and it is just biblical!
The bible is just as much of a fairytale as the game of thrones books. Daenerys and Jesus is both created by a human.
@@rangislayer177 Jesus is a historical person. What the fuck are you talkin about?
@@rekon1500 I believe the books represented Daenerys as the Messiah, parallel to Jesus Christ

@Merciless Freak There were so ashamed of what they are doing that never showed gher face again. Only fire.
D&D literally BUTCHERED Dany's character in 2 episodes for starky happy endings.
I watch this and want to cry 😭 how dare D&D change her into a villain when she has always been a saviour ???
I feel you. I just don't understand that... How is it even possssible??? It's hurt me so much 💔
I don’t see her as a villain at all I don’t know why people keep saying that. Could you explain please? I get that Sansa and the Westerosi are seeing her as a villain but I don’t at all so I don’t get why everyone keeps saying she is. The nights watch saw Jon as a villain for his time with the Wildlings and letting them through the wall but he was still the hero so I’m a little confused
The problem is that they’re trying to push her with the all madness thing because in the books series it’s more evident, but while in the books the all things seems to be better built and articulated, this is total garbage because they’re using her personal losses in order to create the same arc story...if they wanted to make her mad so badly they should have started doing that from previous season, because the only moments where she showed herself to be ruthless or aggressive can be justified in my opinion, while evidences of madness in this season are just related to personal issues and losses (lost 1 dragon, best man and girl and claim to the throne just because she decided to focus on the NK instead of pursuing her personal goal).
Andrea Andrea I’ve just seen the new episode and I’m actually so disappointed. How is this the same character?
Ryan Goldsmith i don’t even know what to think...the only thing i know is that i was repeating to my self “please don’t do this to us and yourself”...well fuck it
Many people will think of her burning innocents in KL whenever they think of her. I will always think of the Daenerys who is Mhysa, Khaleesi, Mother Of Dragons And a kind soul that she is here ❤️
Exactly
Behold, the rightful Queen of Westeros
Mia Melone Forget it. House Targaryen lost all claim to the IT by right of conquest after Robert's Rebellion. The throne SHOULD be Stannis's by now. Sadly, he lost to Ramsay 'Evil McCrazy' Bolton and got killed by freaking Brienne.
+Matthew Christiansen Except Daenerys could just conquer it back. Plus Robert only had his rebellion because Rhaeger ran off with Lyanna (further agravated when the Mad King killed Brandon Stark etc). Even though there was talk of overthrowing the Mad King before that, most people wanted to put Rhaeger on the throne, it wasn't to overthrow the entire house.
Although yeah, if you're going to ignore the Targaryens, then Stannis really is the only one who has any proper claim.
+LazyBazooka idk how he's gonna sit on the iron throne and rule westeros when he's dead but okay..
+LazyBazooka so I guess it takes burning your daughter and cheating with blood magic with a hot priestess to kill a better ruler to become the rightful ruler
Jon Moloney The burning only happened in the show, and was done just to ruin Stannis' character. As for cheating with blood magic, what other options did he realistically have? His forces were ludicrously outnumbered, and he was widely disliked for one reason or another by the majority of Westeros. Besides, that shadow disappearing after killing Renly gave him some plausible deniability.
This scene makes me tear up because it's so powerful and touching. Daenerys is the ONLY leader, other than Jon Snow, who cares about what is right rather than what is the most advantage decision that can be made. She cares for people and that's how she wins over many by showing her compassionate side. She may be fucking up in Mereene, but she does it out of the sake for the right for the masses, not just the powerful. I really hope that she overthrows the Lannisters and takes over the iron throne. Her or Jon because they both have leadership skills that benefit everyone, not just for political/warfare favor.
+Evelyn Menjivar Even more interesting when you consider Aegon is alive, and Jon is possibly the child of Rhaegar and Lyanna. Imagine Daenerys, Jon and Aegon teaming up. 3 Dagons for 3 Dragons.
It doesn't look like they're doing Aegon in the show. That or the writers are hiding it from us.
They should fuck
which makes the fact that she is slowly losing her sh*t all the more tragic.
Evelyn Menjivar Jon doesnt care about people that proves his risk attacking ramsay with low number of people cause he was lazy to wait
Seeing this beautiful scene after seeing what happened in Season 8 Episode 5. You may argue that it was foreshadowed and all of that, sure, everyone has an opinion. Still doesn't make any sense to me how the girl from above turned in just a couple episodes into a genocidal Mad Queen.

D&D literally BUTCHERED Dany's character in 2 episodes for starky happy endings
I think they just straight up never liked her
This scene is so beautiful and the music makes it brilliant
Specially considering that the previous episode was the red wedding
My problem with this new season is that they are trying to produce George’s inevitable ending of Dany going mad without putting in the work. They make the characters act as if she’s already mad when she is rightfully pissed at how everything is going to shit. They really needed more episodes to flesh out her decent. I will always go back to how brilliant these first few seasons were. I was never a huge fan of show Dany, but I am honestly guttered for her
Unbelievable how D&D butchered Dany's character in 2 episodes.
They justify everything with blood line and the coin in the air. What?
They wanna sell this madness so fast that is not believable.
I love you
I don’t even know if she will necessarily be mad in the books. I think that’s just D&D’s lazy storytelling to justify Danys death. Dany has always been a character who struggles with being the queen mhysa figure with her ruthless Targaryen Fire and blood self.
Which is why Mereen is an important plot point. She tries to play the queen by trying to make peace with her enemies, but it doesn’t get her what she wants. She isn’t happy. Yet when she uses “Fire and Blood” it gets her the results that she wants. At the end of ADWD we see the shift of her embracing her inner conqueror with Fire and Blood. I don’t think that will make her mad at all. Sure there will be that perception, but Daenerys is a very internal character - we see all her thoughts and, to me, she hasn’t displayed any signs of being “mad.”
Aerys was mad - he was so turned on by burning people who would rape Rhaella. That’s not Daenerys. The only parts I’m taking away from the show version is that Dany is responsible for KL and the IT being destroyed and most likely dies. But I don’t think it will be madness that drives her to do it. I think she will just do what Aegon did to Harrenhall. The only difference is the wildfire under the city. It will destroy the rest and kill thousands of civilians.
Daenerys becoming mad is too obvious to happen in the books, I think it's more likely all of them dying by the hands of the night king
@@Nathan-yw4yj Dany has already gone a lil nuts at the end of Dance, but yes I think it's gonna be a case of hotheadedness and corruption from Tyrion who is way more darker and probably would love to see KL burn down.

God, she was such a glorious character. Cant believe how heartbreaking it ends for her.
what did the showrunners do to this character...
They fucked her up bc they were looking for cheap stupid shock value!
2:14 - "Mhysa!" a brown-skinned man shouted out at her. He had a child on his shoulder, a little girl, and she screamed the same word in her thin voice. "Mhysa! Mhysa!"
Dany looked at Missandei. "What are they shouting?" "It is Ghiscari, the old pure tongue. It means 'Mother." Dany felt a lightness in her chest. I will never bear a living child, she remembered. Her hand trembled as she raised it. Perhaps she smiled. She must have, because the man grinned and shouted again. and others took up the cry. "Mhysa they called "Mhysal MHYSA They were all smiling at her, reaching for her, kneeling before het. "Maela" some called her, while others cried, "Arialla" or "Qather" or "Tate," but whatever the tongue it all meant the same thing. Mother They are calling me Mother
The chant grew, spread, swelled. It swelled so loud that it frightened her horse, and the mare backed and shook her head and lashed her silvergrey tail. It swelled until it seemed to shake the yellow walls of Yunkai. More slaves were streaming from the gates every moment, and as they came they took up the call. They were running toward her now, pushing, stumbling, wanting to touch her hand, to stroke her horse's mane, to kiss her feet. Her poor bloodriders could not keep them all away, and even Strong Belwas grunted and growled in dismay.
Ser Jorah urged her to go, but Dany remembered a dream she had dreamed in the House of the Undying. "They will not hurt me," she told him. "They are my children, Jorah." She laughed, put her heels into her horse, and rode to them, the bells in her hair ringing sweet victory. She trotted, then cantered, then broke into a gallop, her braid streaming behind. The freed slaves parted before her. "Mother," they called from a hundred throats, a thousand, ten thousand. "Mother," they sang, their fingers brushing her legs as she flew by. "Mother, Mother, Mother!"

Rashad Mitchell you will enjoy season 5 I can promise you that
This is what everyone wishes sir.
My prediction is that it's gonna come down to Jown Snow and Daenerys. often theorized to be the titular "Ice" and "Fire", respectively, from "A Song of Ice and Fire", the title of the books. Unfortunately I don't think it's gonna come out in Dany's favor.
One of the primary themes that Martin has written into the series seems to be that those who actively seek power are the least qualified to wield it. We saw this with Robert, then Joffery, and will probably see it again with Cersei in season 5. We've also seen that a lack of pragmatism and following your conscience by doing what you thing is right because it aligns with your own moral code isn't always the way to go either. Both Ned and Robb paid the ultimate price for their inflexibility in that regard. Dany does both of these things. She actively seeks power, however admirable her intentions may be, and often makes critical mistakes by doing what feels right to her, even if it's not a very good idea.
Jon, on the other hand, does not seek power. All he ever wanted was to be a simple ranger. And yet we see multiple times throughout the series that he rises to the occasion whenever it's required of him, like when he took command of the Night's Watch during the battle of Castle Black. He's a good guy, but he's also pragmatic and willing to get his hands dirty, even at great personal cost to himself (Qhorin Halfhand, Ygritte, sending his friends to certain death to defend the tunnel). I'll be a monkey's uncle if he's not Lord Commander of the Night's Watch by season 5, something he never actually wanted.
Two children born at the end of Robert's rebellion, raised on the opposite ends of the world, both of their stories far-removed from the political happenings of Westeros proper where the main story takes place. When the time comes for the two to meet, I predict it will not be a sign of gentle change.
Damn it i hope she dies... painfully.
there are so many of them, even when you're not counting the unsullied, which also was a lot, and she freed them all. Seriously if some people still want to kill she has like thousands of people who love and an army who would die for her, but not out of command, but out of her kind heart that set them free. Hahaha if you still think Georges ending or to be clear the books themselves are anything like the show, you haven’t been paying attention
I love Daenarys because she is one of the few people in all of Westeros who truly cares for her people. She is an extremely flawed character though. She lacks experience and thinks that she can save everyone. Season 5 is going to be all about her learning the truth the hard way.
As for the fans of Stanis: Do you really think he would be a good leader? He shows little interest in his subjects whatsoever, and, on top of that, he is basically become brainwashed by a fanatical religion. If he would become king of all of Westeros, he would destroy the Great Sept of Baelor before burning every priest he can get his hands on. Westeros would tear itself apart in a religious war.
Danny is the best possible leader for Westeros. She is loved by her subjects and loves them back, has a better lineage than Stannis, and has a far more powerful army.
Stannis is just and fair with everyone! And he is not a fanatic himself! He doesn't even want the iron throne he is fighting the war for justice and for the throne to go on its rightful hair! And Aegon is stil not proven a Blackfire so and he wanted to ally with Dany before she decided to fuck everything up by freeing Merren and ending slave trade with Myr Lys and Tyrosh...And allso Stannis well....GIVES A FUCK ABOUT THE COMEING WINNTER!!!
Peregrine Im still going team Daenerys..
Adam the Player what team deanerys? There is no such thing. .. Khal drogo is dead. Jorah is banished. Sir. Barrastian and grayworm are most likely dead.her unsulid are day by day getting smaller in numbers. She only has Drogon who.... I don't want to spoil you the next episodes. ..so...
Adam the Player there are also terrorists a disease and Yunkai threads her to attack her...And she fucked up any chance she had with Aegon...so....
Charlie Funny, i nearly forgot about this conversation. ***** Stannis just burnt his daughter and at the same time on the other side of the world, Daenerys flew away on Drogon! What do you think now?
I came here to watch this after the carnage that happened in King's landing. That was not the daenerys that we all learned to love
I don't think we will ever see another character like this again. what a creation, George is a GENIUS
D&D ruined her in 2 episodes. They butchered the character in a very nasty way.
What happened to one of the best show ever...
SAD ASF
Probably the best season finale final scene so far
hmm... i like more cliff hangers but this will do too.. wouldn't call it the best just good :)
I’m from the future, and it still is, my friend.
With this scene danaerys showed that she is more Queen than Cersei and Sansa will ever be.
Sansa? Lol that coward bitch had every chance to do things the right way. She never fixed any of the problems she caused and then inherited her father’s land because the rest of her family either died or left. She deserved Joffrey.
This wasn’t who she was anymore lmao. Accept it.
Margery>>>>>Danaerys and Cersei combined
They did you so wrong my queen 😭💔
What have they done to my Queen? I'm here taking a trip down memory lane before tonight's episode. We're possibly going to lose her. Breaks my heart so much.
gives me goosebumps every time
same.. true epicness~
My Queen. Now and Always.
This and the score literally move me to tears. Cant believe the ending they gave to her. Will never forgive
The ending was just rushed plot was perfect
@@nitinkapoor1369 nope
@@Nihilanth Martin wrote the end
@@nitinkapoor1369 no? he worked in game of thrones only till season 5 (which was about book 5).
@@Nihilanth Martin have told d and d major spoilers like hodor dany being mad queen Jon parents bran becoming the king Tyrion hand Sansa queen arya sailing away
In season 2 ending dany had dream which tells everything about it
One word: EPIC
Why do people hate on this scene? This scene's freaking awesome and amazing!
Too cheesy.
Ghaltouni Well this is Game of Thrones where dark and morbid shit happens all the time, it's nice now and then to see something cheesy on this damn show especially after the red wedding.
Ghaltouni No it's not...
The white saviour imagery is honestly kinda gross, that’s the issue for me anyway.
@@megamovieman101 Well I'm brown-skinned and I have no problem with it. Dany's a really cool character and her entourage are primarily dark-skinned anyway (e.g. Missandei, Greyworm, the Unsullied and the Dothraki). Not that it matters, I try to be as color blind as possible.
I just realized why this scene is brilliant. It's like the first season's "The King in the North" scene in more ways than one.
I can not stop crying, what did they do to the character? Oh my God. #ForeverDaenerys
*This is our Daenerys.*
Wow even if the Lannisters, Starks, Baratheons, Greyjoys, Tyrells, Tullys, Arryns, etc. all joined together, they still wouldn't have a chance against Daenerys Targaryen now.
I hope so...
Remember that these people aren't warriors, but slaves. They are useless in the means of fighting capabilities. She still has dragons though. :P
Dragons that do whatever they want...
she doesnt even need to send her men to fight, she just had to wait till the dragons grow, then tell them to fly over the cities and burn them until everyone bends the knee, she is one boss ass bitch
MrAmmo30 Heh. You do know that during the initial campaign of Aegon the Conqueror, Dorne managed to hold out against him, even against his dragons? Dragons can in fact be defeated.
Seeing Daenerys smile makes my heart melt ❤🎉
Epic scene. Goosebumps after the music started. Even the end of today's episode (S06E06) was similar to this one.
They come up with the most amazing soundtracks that gives us the chills.
And people think she is evil by blood. Bloody hell😤
The horrific writing will not allow me to believe that. D&D were looking for shock value, that is all!
I have tears in my eyes whenever i watch it :(
me tooo :')
Im a girl bitch
She has such a noble heart ^//^
moments like these remind me why I loved this show so much. IT makes me wonder why they put so much time in making the audience so invested in Dany just to make her such a villain.
Problem is that they decided to follow grrms ending which is 100% going to be the tragedy of dany, but they cant write the journey from here to her downfall convincingly. It is quite sad, but her perceived destiny had no other outcome really, a targaryen conquerer that was gonna break the wheel. But power corrupts and the wheel breaks her.
Im kinda just rambling here, but i hope grrm doesn't go fully with the "well she was always going to be crazy because of her genes". That would be worst case scenario for me.
But if the books ever release, it sure as hell wont make her chase women and children around burning them to death without a veeeeeeeeeery long build up.
Makes it feel like eight years of wasted investment.
This is her. Not what the producers made her. Fierce, ruthless, strong. But yet kind. Caring.
My favourite scene of all! So touching, it's like watching Jesus lead his followers.
Jun A. You Daenerys-hating-on-fans are twats.
Jun A.
Don't hate coz every male wants to bang her.
jesus was never able to do something like this, she´s awsome!
You had to bring Jesus into this... that's a different fictional book series.
How people can say “it was bound to happen all along, all the hints of Mad Queen were there” after this? She was just, she was fair, and she made mistakes, but she was not a monster. You cant give us scenes like this, and tell us shes always been destined to be Mad like her father...😢
She is burning people since season 1.
@@AwfulDrOrlof Enemies not Innocents.
@@AwfulDrOrlof *burning people who deserved it. They were enemies, and it was very much a "kill or be killed" environment. It's war, not the Paris Peace Accords. People die in war, and the people she killed were hardly innocent lol. In the world of Westeros, for women especially, if you do not win by the necessary means, it is certain death for her. She is justified in many of her endeavours.
@@vedoramjattan1878 Some serial killers start by killing animals.
I absolutely love this scene bc it truly captures who Daenerys is.
Such a beautiful scene. How a story beyound this could come to the shit we watch on the screens in final season?
@Merciless Freak And episode 6!!! Benioff and Weiss should be arrested and prosecuted for crimes against humanity.
This is one of those rare scenes where the tv series is better than the book. Goosebumps.
The perfect ending. This is Daenyres
I came here to be reminded of how powerful this scene was, that I shed tears at how beautiful it was. My Queen.
And now? She sacrifices most of her army, lost two of her babies to save the North...and the North continues to RESENT her???!! I hate D&D.
She needs to go back to her people. Westeros dont deserve her.
What now? Ep 5
@@MrHassanGhumro and now they destroyed her character even more
@@MrHassanGhumro SIGH. D&D butchered her. I watched her grow for 8 years to become THIS?! For her to betray her 'gentle heart' when she had won her greatest victory?! UGH!
I DESPAIR at what became of Game of Thrones after an absolute high like this! From this to season 8. 😢
Well I feel like a dope because I totally cried...
my me too ...we're pathétique...
No shame there!
same!! the score and the scene was just too beautiful i was so proud of her
When Game of Thrones was great 👍
beautiful scene you can really feel the love they have for her very moving and love the music
Her retinue all standing behind her, ready to draw their swords as she wades into the crowd. If they wanted her dead there's nothing Jorah or any could have done.
allways those epic scenes with her who make me cry but also gives me a shiver
This is one of my favorite scenes of Daenerys. It's simple and beautiful.
They ruined her so bad man. She was the best
This is the daenerys that I know and love and that is a huge inspiration for me, not the character we've gotten in the last to seasons the writers have destroyed her and murdered her character by turning her into the "mad queen" but this is the daenerys that I'll hold in my heart
If I were a slave , I would be freed by a single smile of her
Cant believe D&D turned her character into a villain.
81 episodes helping innocents.
Last 2: HITLER.
Benioff and Weiss should be arrested and prosecuted for crimes against humanity.
It seems like it was George R. R. Martins intent from the beginning, it was just majorly rushed.
She was so inspiring ! I know it’s very stupid and it’s a TV show but I never gonna get over it what the did to her! My Queen forever !
She was the genuine queen of the 7 kingdoms
Beautiful scene. And right there, when she smiles, I could believe she´s as young as she´s supposed to be :)
To all the people saying Daenerys was always a Tyrant who killed you if you didn’t bend the knee, you’re the ones who haven’t been paying attention. Every time she liberated a group of people it was “join me if you wish but you don’t have to.” I will hate the writers until the day I die for what they did to her character
If you don't join her she will burn you alive. Look at the Tarlys. Mad girl...
Awful Dr. Orlof False. Jon Snow didn’t bend the knee and was just fine. She only burns people who she has zero obligation to give a second chance to in the first place after slaughtering her allies (the Tarlys), before she snapped that is
@@hawksasuke97
Burning people alive is horrible, even if they are a threat, or your enemy who did terrible things to you. So she was never good. Never understood why people thought she was 'good'. Only Jon is good, but not up to the task to play 'The Game'.
Awful Dr. Orlof Yeah you know what else is horrible? Having prisoners of war eaten alive by dogs. Guess who did that? Jon and Sansa. She had no obligation to give the Tarlys a way out anymore than Jon and Sansa had to give Ramsay
@@hawksasuke97
Sansa did that, not Jon. Always people doing bad things behind Jon's back.
She deserves iron throne more than anyone
I can't believe D&D spent years painstakingly building Dany into this epic character before totally and utterly ruining her character in the space of a few episodes. What on earth is wrong with them??
Daenerys is one of the most loved, enjoyable and admirable characters in the SERIES Game of Thrones. The series has diverged from the books A song of Ice and Fire. Get the hell over it already. Can any of you wrap your brain around the concept of "A series BASED on the Novels"? If you don't like it stop watching. Simple.
***** Why do people keep saying that? I've seen season 5 and I still love her. The Meereen storyline was boring, and she made some mistakes, but that one bad season doesn't cancel out all of the awesome moments she's had for the past 4 seasons. Yeah she's not good at politics. No one on the show is perfect. All of the characters have their flaws, and that's Dany's biggest one. It's not like Dany grew up in a royal family and got to see how things are supposed to be done. She didn't have Tywin Lannister for a father. But luckily for her, she has Tyrion now. Problem solved.
True. As for Tyrion he has done more damage than help this season, honestly. Its like his IQ has fallen by 80%
To me this was possibly the best ending to any season of any series I have ever watched.
This is our Queen. This will always be who our queen truly was.
Screw season 8.
One of the best scenes in the entire show.
The emotion, cinematography, editing, all top notch
the whole time i'm just thinking "mhysa jar jar binks!"
This definitely provided a much needed dose of Hope after the horrific red wedding scene.
Now that is POWER in its most pristine form.
She shall be remembered in this way and this way alone. We know nothing of a mad queen but a want who rose from oppression and sought to help liberate others.
This is the real Daenerys, the one everyone fell in love with. This is how everyone should remember her.
That gave me goose bumps
It's the most beautiful scene in GOT.
This is the real Daenerys.
This is the Dany we all fell in love with
