The government and department of transportation have no clue whatsoever about E-Scooters and no experience whatsoever. They aren't the experts, so who are they to try and limit the wattage and speed? Don't see anyone having to get out their cars to push them up hills... Plus if you're a rider with a disability or mobility impairment that would become a major obstacle. So, motor wattage should not be limited at all and we need to fight that point across. Speed should not be limited too, it's dangerous being slower on roads without cycle lanes as cars will try to overtake, potentially risking an incident. It's safer to be able to keep up with traffic so if they allow all scooters to be used no matter the speed and wattage, just make it mandatory to have insurance, to be over 17 with a provisional license and to require some training. Ferrari's exceed the national speed limit yet those aren't banned, so why should E-Scooters over 15mph be. Absolutely ludicrous. This government is an absolute joke and it's a total abomination and disgrace how E-Scooters STILL haven't been legalised yet, almost THREE years later!
I couldn’t agree with you more honestly, the good news is we can ensure them now there’s a lot of insurance companies out now that will insure scooters. But overall I agree it’s so stupid but that’s another thing. They don’t know anything about how old the systems work they don’t know the mechanics of these scooters therefore they can’t really limit them and as long as someone’s not being reckless, most cops, and most areas will leave you alone.
Where I am, if I put a seat on my Dualtron City I have to somehow install cosmetic pedals on it. If not, it magically becomes a motorcycle and I have to have a license and insurance to ride it. That's just one of the stupidities of our laws governing PEVs. The reason behind idiotic laws designed to deter PEV use is simple - controlling the population, where people can go, how far they can go and what means of transport they can use. They want everyone to use electric cars, even more than they want us to use public transport. The reason is that electric cars can be controlled remotely by the state and even disabled. They can also be used to track people's movements and whereabouts. PEVs don't have computers which can be controlled remotely. Users can go where they please, even off road, and charge them everywhere, unlike electric cars. This terrifies the nanny state politicians. The good news is that few jurisdictions have the resources to enforce the anti-PEV laws. I live in a city where all PEVs are illegal, yet the streets are full of them, retailers are allowed to sell them and there are group ride clubs consisting of hundreds of people. Cops leave us alone as long as we follow the rules of the road, wear helmets and don't drive too fast. A cop would never know how to check to see if your vehicle is speed limited or how many watts the motor is. If you're worried about being stopped for speeding or "riding a motorcycle without a license" you can always get a motorcycle license, which requires taking a training course. Insurance is also a good idea provided it's available in your area (it isn't in mine).
Dualtrons don't have water proof ratings so not recommended in damp conditions. We have found any off-road tyres for them yet but I'm sure they are available and great for extra grip 👍
adjust the tyre pressue accordingly and i cant see any reason for not to. the tyre base is quiet wide for even riding on snow. better change for winter grip tyres.
Great review!! I am about to buy my new e scooter and i have to decide between the dualtron City and the nami klima max. Which in your opinion is better as far as , smoother riding , suspension, fun to drive, and range?
O thats tough, totally different scooters! The Dualtron for the larger wheels and removable battery and the klima for speed/power, more advanced suspension and better water proofing!! 🤷😀👍
@RIDEGLIDE that's a deal breaker for me. Think I'm done shopping for an escooter. Hopefully these companies get there shit together in a couple years.
if the battery compartment cant be opened up it wont have an ip rating that i would bet on, gaskets would eventually fail thourhg out seasonal changes and need replaced periodically. battery pack im sure designed and manufacured to be hermetically sealed but i wouldnt take the risk, mositure and lithium cobalt together is a recipe for huge chain reaction/burn to th ground.
I am very surprised they do not have regenerative breaking yet, to me that is a deal breaker. Apollo seems to be the only company that has regen breaking worth mentionning, Vsett has it also but its not even worth talking about.
All the Dualtrons have regen, it just isn't manually operated, you pre set it in the display. Regen is great and hope more companies give the manually operated option 👍👍
@@RIDEGLIDE regen is great as long as motor cooling design is sufficient to handle it, in togo max there is not enough air flow through limited hub motor surface and after a relatively short amount of time using ebs the hub motor rises above 100 celcius, you need to lower the ebs setting from 5 to 2-1 to minimize the effect. just as throttlng against a steep hill with sport/climbing mode and full power, ebs max. energy revovery passes very high currents trough the hub motor doubling down the heating rate.
there is a reason the model named city, huge tyre size translates to increased torque demand for the same rpm and thats why you donw see spinning taking off, top speed is proportional to the wheel size. also the square wave controllers are contrary to belief more efficient, creates authentic and very useful humming noise making you noticed in traffic. controller letting fully charged battery kept charged on during ebs energy recuperation is a design or specific item fault, high amp ebs is also taken into consideration taking into account the maximum weight of rider+total weight of scooter and maximum deccelartion rate, never heard of a dualtron board burning due to excessive decceleration/ebs high current. all in all, this is a beast in urban outfit with all the bells and whistles, definitely a must buy.
Dualtron never give an IP rating so there isn't a clear answer on that. We don't have a lot of water problems with Dualtrons but scooters like the Nami would be better for peace of mind 😀👍
Dualtrons have 2 ratings.Higher for the eye 3...etc & slightly lower for the rest of the remaing parts. Not for prolonged rainy ride!!! No warranty on it!!!😮
switcahble battery compartment is a no go, the gasket will eventually fade out letting in excessive moisture even tough im sure battery pack is hermetically sealed, only safeguarding would be periodically changing the compartment gasket
I have a different big wheel scooter, but when I changed the rotor discs to 180mm instead of the original 160 's the braking and bite substantially improved. Just takes a different caliper mount so the caliper is positioned for the 180. The cost of the rotors at 50 each is very worth it. And the mounts are cheap... and should be standard 180 mounts I would expect. You can change all the other brake parts but probably won't make a difference. I am surprised this does not come stock with 180's. It should due to the speed and weight.
As owner of this city, i can agree with you...most of the time. Okay, i am heavy user(105 kg...i know i know...), and it is nimble, but I need more resistance in turning...at low speeds it freaks me because its "wobbling". Everything changes as i go over 40 km/h...the long wheelbase, the stiff cartridge suspension, the inertia of bigger tyres makes it a great commuter/ road runner. Aaand 5-8 cm deep potholes become come-trough, meanwhile 10-12" wheels suffer or even fails badly. Should I change the angle of front lower arm to bring it behind the stemline to behave less wobbly(suspension geometry)?
Hi I’m VERY new to the whole e-scooter thing 🤪 so I appreciate the patience & help 😁 I’m considering an e-scooter for commute. There’s a couple of steep roads, I’m about 125kg and usually have 5kg laptop bag as well. A dealer in Auckland suggested the Nami burn-e 2 Pure as it ticks all the boxes (weight, dual motors, steep hill etc). How easy is it to fall of this beast? 😁 I need commute transportation and this seems to be the answer, but I don’t want to end up in hospital or worse on my way to work 🙃 Then there’s the Dualtron City….. which one would you recommend? Thoughts? Thank you
The City has larger wheels so some people feel more stable, but the Nami is high quality, powerful, stable and really comfortable. The City is probably more urban (hence the name 😀) and the Nami can go on and off raod with ease. Hopefully this helps 👍
Test drove the Nami burn-e 2 Pure today…. This thing is huge! It’s a tank on two wheels! 🤪😎 It will definitely take getting used to & building up confidence to use it on the road 🤪 Will see about finances 🙃
would you happen to know the rear swing arm inner and outer width? i kinda want one but i also want to use different hub motor so i can use better tires and also to increase the torque a bit. 🙂
Not in heavy rain & only for a very short time.????!!!Warranty doesn't cover it!!!!! You can burned out the sistem!!! Ask dualtron/mini motors. They're pretty cool.
Cool scooters! One thing that can be frustrating with Dualtron is that they bring new models out and sometimes discontinue the older ones even if they are still popular like the Thunder! Ultra 11 are still available so may get them back in! 👍👍
Dualtrons and a lot of other scooters can have some play in the stem, obviously make sure everything is tight but there is still some movement. Sometimes it feels like its rocking but the suspension is dipping, find out where its coming from if possible and then you can be sure!
I was a bit let down when I saw the width of the tires they are just way to skinny for my taste they should have at least reached for the the design aspect of the WEPED Dark Knight's 16 inch wide Vespa scooter tires :-( come on Dualtron you gotta raise the bar champ!!
@@RIDEGLIDE I have one more question? Can you shows us how to remove speed limiter on Dualtron City? The Law in Australia for electric scooter can go only 25 km/h (15 mph), which is not fast enough, it's too slow.
Range strongly depends on many factors: rider's weight, riding style, climb, wind, temperature... I rode leisurely up to 87 km in the summer on the plain. But in winter, in hilly areas, it can be 40-45.
I have a Dual-Tron City and with 1700 km I already have cracks next to the welds. I sent an email to the manufacturer and they did nothing. I just walk on the street. I'm not a practitioner of jumps and juggling. In less than 2 years it broke. I would not recommend to any friend to buy an expensive product that is not durable. And be careful, it is not waterproof, much less a small rain.
🐍Clearly you don't know about Dualtron scooters. And your just fudging your way through your review. The four screws on the back of the deck are for adding a seat.🖖🤙
Thanks for the feedback. The old Dualtron thunder seat is compatible with the city but many more people will fit a footrest than a seat in our experience. We’ve done loads of dualtron reviews and have nearly every model in stock as a demo so pop down any time to try one out or see the accessories that are compatible 👍😀🙌
@@RIDEGLIDE You're probably talking about aftermarket stuff like the CarbonRevo accessories. Anyways you guys do nice camera work, love your trail riding thru the woods.

or raise handlebar height by buying curved handlebars. Just etch in wedges with a file - thru to the metal of the bar's mount area where the mount bites... so the bars don't twist. Then you can also rake the bars back some to make it comfortable.
Battery is not cheap for 60vdc, not for average earner, some people I know replacing it with Lead acid battery it gets bulky but cheap and it will run, so I wish soon new inventor would come up with a 12v battery high torque long range top speed of 40mph
12v? What to much amps then . You have a fire or have wires so big it's takes away from efficiency. Plus lead is half discharge and a lot easier to kill. Plus capacity would be like 1/4 to 1/10 compared to lithium. Seems like you just rune it
The grunty sounds from the motors is the controllers fault. They are not running the motors properly. They are nearly silent if they are run properly. That climb up the short hill was pathetic! You had to do that from a rolling start or else it would just stall out! Try that again from a dead stop at the base of the little slope. I'd be astonished if it got to the top and you weigh a lot less than I do! I'm upgrading my City. When done it will operate like other scooters I have built. From the base of a much steeper and longer hill, from a dead stop, it will accelerate up the thing, NOT slow down like was so obvious in your video. As it comes from Minimotors, it is quite weak. Even little hills like that one are barely possible and only if you have some momentum.
@@RIDEGLIDE I was standing at a stop light and so I took off from a stop. This was going over a freeway over pass. The slope was gentle and all paved. And yet, the scooter could barely get moving and I had to kick off several times just to get it rolling. It was unable to do much more than slight acceleration once it did get rolling. If I remember right, by the time I reached to top of the slight slope, I had achieved 12 mph. Woo hoo! *** The City is way under powered for any full sized adult riding it. Before I started upgrading mine, I ran it at max power all the time, just to get it to perform dismally. Seriously disappointing! *** In your video, you took a very short dirt hill or dirt ramp at speed to make it to the top. You were unable to take off from a dead stop at its bottom and not stall within a couple of inches. Also, it was very apparent that the scooter was slowing down considerably as it climbed the maybe 6 feet of slope.
They aren't 15" tires. That's height of the top of the tire from the ground and has nothing to do with tire sizes. They are 10" tires! The brakes suck! They need improving! Stopping distance is poor since they have 160mm rotors which is totally inadequate for this weight. I upgraded my rotors to 203mm. BTW...3950 watts is wishful thinking. Feel free to put an amp meter on it and see for yourself!
Rim size is 10" - standard motocycle size. 15" - tire diameter. I am currently using winter tires on my Dualtron City (Kenda K701 Winter 3.00-10) - these tires have a diameter even 16" ixbt.photo/photo/144255/51327qNjHY95jaL/1537578w.jpg
@@nodens_ictus Your tires look pretty good. Kenda is a good brand. I've used their tires for many years on EV's I've built. I still have the factory tires on my City. I'll swap over to better tires once I wear these out or if I find they don't handle very well. This isn't a fast scooter from the factory. I knew that going in. Mine will be much faster than factory. It's been shelved for a couple of months so I can get a few other things out of the way. Otherwise, I'd probably be done with the build by now.
Definitely wear gloves not the crappy wool or cotton winter gloves but actual leather gloves or football gloves. For better grip and protection for hands. And not just that also wear a proper biker leather jacket to protect yourself and look at the same time. And Mountain bike full face helmet. Why! *Because I had a accident while riding my Xiaomi Mi Pro 2 hacked on sports mode 21mph I landed face first luckily no injuries to head or face by some miracle just minor elbow and hand scrape and minor cuts nothing to worry about and I was wearing hoody without helmets. And minor ankle and knee injury injuries* And that was 21mph this electric scooter goes 40mph or 50mph I'd hate to imagine how devastating the injury could be at those scary speed. After that lesson learned I wear mountain bike full face helmet as it looks cool and protects my head and proper biker gloves or football gloves to look cool. And shin and ankle protection hidden away in my pants and so far I had few close call and injuries their life saver!
Sadly, no ebrakes demonstrated. 😮 Why not? You have shyed away from it for some reasons. We're disappointed! It's probably not as good as the APOLLO CITY PRO OR THE PRO.😊 They have superior regen-brakes!!!🎉❤ Better next time???
How do anyone want them over a euc or a ebike? Just don't know why you waste your money on that. Maybe people just don't know about euc, but ebike you got to know about. Maybe spend a little more but be 2 times better in every way.
Have you ridden one? EUCs and e-bikes are great, but e-skates and e-scooters are great fun too. Come down and try one any time, you may change your mind 😃😃
What massive battery? What massive motors? I have a City and I bought it in March. You have to be kidding! These scooters are far from fast or powerful! The damned thing can barely do 23 mph up a slight hill! FASTEST I have ever gotten mine to go on MAX settings is down hill and 39 mph!
Looks like a nice idea but not well executed. The three pipes are the ugliest, last minute solution ever. With a wheel of that size, go with a normal mountain bike fork suspension. Those arms look cool but physics will make durability an (safety) issue.
Glad you watched the review, have you managed to have a go on the city yet? Its awesome! Let us know what politics and we can try to avoid in future? 😀
Apollo is basically running a Ponzi-type company. It took me 3 months to get my scooter and when I did the charger failed after the first charge. Guess what? They have no chargers in stock! Maybe six weeks before I get a replacement. Who can I report this company to? Their marketing is top-notch but they cannot deliver what they are selling. Please include in your reviews about lead time and parts replacement.
The problem with reviews is that these people get a free one and we pay. But like all reviews this dinge dork does not give a good review. Tell the people about flat tires! What if you are 20 miles from home and have a flat? You will experince a flat oncce a week maybe every 2 weeks. I owned past tense owned one and threw it in the tash. I now ride electric skateboards believe it or not. If you are going to buy an electric scooter go widewheels. Trust me! Dont buy this scrap metal.
Hi Bryan, We have to buy the products like everyone else 👍 Probably would have gone with dweeb but dinge dork works too 😀Loads of customers love riding the City, its not going to be for everyone but its a cool scooter. Also we rode it pretty hard and didn't get a puncture so weren't aware that was a common issue! 👍
I have a couple of questions I hope you can answer them *And I know it's 3 weeks since you uploaded them but if you could answer my questions I would be really appreciate and respect you for taking your time out to answer my questions and would even considering subscribing to you* So my question is if you own Xiaomi Mi pro 2/3 or xiaomi electric scooter 4 pro since it is the most popular electric scooter right now since nearly everyone owns xiaomi scooters from what I see their everywhere Then my question is: Is Dualtron city worth buying how much range did you get on a good day with continously riding on top speed mode. Like Xiaomi Electric scooter has Sport mode how much range did you get riding on sports mode all day and how much range did you get on eco mode. And does having 15inch wheel does it has fast top speed and is the acceleration fast like on smaller 8 or 10 and even 11/12 inch electric scooter the acceleration is a lot faster. Like Wolf GT X, Nami Burn E. I just care about range since my Xiaomi Mi Pro 2 hacked now goes upto 21mph pretty fast not as fast as your scooter. And the range I used to get was 26 miles now reduced to 21 miles. On Sport mode So I am now thinking about buying 500w front wheel monorim motor and 48v battery for slightly better speed and range increase. With 10inch air filled tyres front and back wheel. My question to sum it up should I buy dualtron city or dualtron eagle which have very similar range and performance in terms of speed and ride quality. Or should I just stick with my Xiaomi Mi Pro 2 and get it modified with 500w front motor and bigger 14,000mah 48v battery for more range and better top speed!
Totally different scooters. The City is much more powerful than the xiaomi and will also give a greater range. Its more comfortable, especially with the larger wheels. But obviously more expensive as you are getting a lot more scooter! 👍
I tested, love it, so comfortable and smooth. Great review as always.

Can I use it in the winter? Do I need to change the tire to winter tire?
Dualtrons don't have water proof ratings so not recommended in damp conditions. We have found any off-road tyres for them yet but I'm sure they are available and great for extra grip 👍
im gonna be using mine in winter, dont leave batteries out in very cold or very hot, in dry roads winter i will use same tires, u want go in snow?
adjust the tyre pressue accordingly and i cant see any reason for not to. the tyre base is quiet wide for even riding on snow. better change for winter grip tyres.
which did you get man? i'm between namis and this thing as well
@@chickentavaNext month i am getting the Nami Klima..
@@RIDEGLIDE
TRY THE APLLO PRO 12" WHEELS. EXPENSIVE THOUGH ,BUT WORTH IT.🇨🇦
Hello, I was wondering if it is waterproof or resistant to puddles?
or light rain..?
This doesn't have an IP rating but through our experience, dualtrons can handle very light rain but nit one of the better brands for it 👍
@RIDEGLIDE that's a deal breaker for me. Think I'm done shopping for an escooter. Hopefully these companies get there shit together in a couple years.
@@doomvanhardcore8313 Have you looked at some other brands? Nami for example have excellent water resistance ratings and can handle most weather 👍👍
if the battery compartment cant be opened up it wont have an ip rating that i would bet on, gaskets would eventually fail thourhg out seasonal changes and need replaced periodically. battery pack im sure designed and manufacured to be hermetically sealed but i wouldnt take the risk, mositure and lithium cobalt together is a recipe for huge chain reaction/burn to th ground.
Awesome video big tyres are the way to go,cmon Dragon match this
Really fun scooter to ride 🙌👍
What was the price? This scooter isnt available on the voromotors website 🥺
Not sure how much in America, is that country you are in?
Great review 😎
Thanks Amye 🙌🙌🙌
Is it easy to change stem and handlebars.
there is a reason the model named city, huge tyre size translates to increased torque demand for the same rpm and thats why you donw see spinning taking off, top speed is proportional to the wheel size.
also the square wave controllers are contrary to belief more efficient, creates authentic and very useful humming noise making you noticed in traffic. controller letting fully charged battery kept charged on during ebs energy recuperation is a design or specific item fault, high amp ebs is also taken into consideration taking into account the maximum weight of rider+total weight of scooter and maximum deccelartion rate, never heard of a dualtron board burning due to excessive decceleration/ebs high current.
all in all, this is a beast in urban outfit with all the bells and whistles, definitely a must buy.
How waterproof is it, looks ideal for getting to work and back
Dualtron never give an IP rating so there isn't a clear answer on that.
Dang wish I had a ride and glide near me!
So much fun 😀😀
The only thing I don't like is the cheap discs
The zoom brakes on the wolf warrior tend to be really good
I have a different big wheel scooter, but when I changed the rotor discs to 180mm instead of the original 160 's the braking and bite substantially improved.
What is the max. slope incline angle this Scooter can handle?
Does the lack of a rear kick bother anyone? Like the lip up from the deck? The rear foot would just be on the rear fender. I'd want one.
Hi
I’m VERY new to the whole e-scooter thing 🤪 so I appreciate the patience & help 😁
I’m considering an e-scooter for commute.
@@willemp4258 Soooo good though 🙌🙌
Please can you do a full review on the Stealth H-52 bike please 🙏 🤩
Here it is ua-cam.com/video/F1T_bmnEHtM/v-deo.html It was so wet but so much fun!! 🙌🙌
would you happen to know the rear swing arm inner and outer width? i kinda want one but i also want to use different hub motor so i can use better tires and also to increase the torque a bit. 🙂
Good stuff mate
Thanks, it was fun making it!! 😀
Quality review
Thank you 🙌🙌🙌
Can the city be used in rain?
Not in heavy rain & only for a very short time.????!!!Warranty doesn't cover it!!!!!
You can burned out the sistem!!! Ask dualtron/mini motors. They're pretty cool.
Just wondering can we ever expect to see the Ultra and Ultra 2 being sold again, Deck size and performance was perfect.
Cool scooters! One thing that can be frustrating with Dualtron is that they bring new models out and sometimes discontinue the older ones even if they are still popular like the Thunder! Ultra 11 are still available so may get them back in! 👍👍
no turn signals? water resistance rating?? you could've covered more about the scooter, instead you kept talking about the raver lights...
Anyone know when the laws are changing in uk?
Awesome 👌 👏
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed 👍
I have handlebar movement/ play is this normal on the Dualtron city?
Dualtrons and a lot of other scooters can have some play in the stem, obviously make sure everything is tight but there is still some movement. Sometimes it feels like its rocking but the suspension is dipping, find out where its coming from if possible and then you can be sure!
This can be fixed by replacing stem screw and clamp with 6-bolts custom one.
low stearing ? and handle
Yes it quite low compared to other models!
Dualtron City off-road 👍👍👍
Does seem good but need to test over a longer period to see how strong they are 😀
I was a bit let down when I saw the width of the tires they are just way to skinny for my taste they should have at least reached for the the design aspect of the WEPED Dark Knight's 16 inch wide Vespa scooter tires :-( come on Dualtron you gotta raise the bar champ!!
The dualtron compact has wide flat tires with drum brakes!
With 15x4 inch tires it would be perfect for offroad
Definitely 🙌🙌
Love it Nice
Thank you 🙌🙌🙌
Can the handlebar adjust the height? I'm 6'4" (193cm).
It cant as standard but you can buy a riser kit for it 👍
@@RIDEGLIDE ok, thanks. I will buy a riser kit.

@@RIDEGLIDE I have one more question?
Can you shows us how to remove speed limiter on Dualtron City?
The Law in Australia for electric scooter can go only 25 km/h (15 mph), which is not fast enough, it's too slow.

Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed 👍👍
range?
Range strongly depends on many factors: rider's weight, riding style, climb, wind, temperature... I rode leisurely up to 87 km in the summer on the plain. But in winter, in hilly areas, it can be 40-45.
We got 32 miles but were riding pretty hard!! 👍
Perfect e-scooter for commuting 5 to 10 miles
👍👍
It can do more than that
what shop let you use there's for a vid lol

@@RIDEGLIDE no way
I have a Dual-Tron City and with 1700 km I already have cracks next to the welds.
I think that the stem on the City is too short.
City but no signal light for changing direction!
Dude 😎 you balling 🛴💨🐎scared 😨😳 for you 🤣
🙌👍
I hope i can buy it, but to expensive here..
Great scooter 👍
Yes loads of different aftermarket bits and pieces. Thanks, definitely the most fun in the forest! 🙌
@@RIDEGLIDE Are you sure about the thunder seat compatibility? Have you tried it?
@@Hunter_Bidens_Crackpipe_ Yes tried it and it fits! 👍
How long before they have e-scooter dealers that will maintain/repair units and offer security packages?
Already happening with maintenance and repair, security is difficult with insurance but it will come!
@@RIDEGLIDE Thank you for the response. I am glad more electric options are coming our way now and in the future.
They have it's called solar scooters look them up online they can deal with all your needs when thinking about a good British company to deal with solar is your answer their customer service is second to none so are their scooters. the showroom and repair hub is in West Drayton next road to the train station and the tech guy is called jack his knowledge of solar scooters is exemplary he is a wizard when it comes to his craft you can run through the scooters with jack or another member of the team and all their scooters come with a two year warranty which is strictly adhered to providing the damage isn't caused by the customer l have safety in the knowledge that l have purchased a top of the range scooter from a British company and that if anything goes wrong with that scooter l will have no problem booking my scooter in for repairs drop it off on the arranged day leave it with the team and arrange a date to come back and pick it up all nice and repaired you will receive a list of what repairs need doing and a invoice of how much it will cost and if the warranty covers the repairs they will be done free of charge I've got a solar scooter and the team at solar have been brilliant with me. 👍
what's the point It is not legal
⚡👀⚡
They could have made the stem taller 😔 this is why I won't ever own another dualtron
Yup, it can be raised with after market parts but it is low as standard 👍
or raise handlebar height by buying curved handlebars.
Which hill? Its designed as an urban scooter so we are just having fun with it offroad! Agree on the controllers 😀
Woo hoo!
***
The City is way under powered for any full sized adult riding it. Before I started upgrading mine, I ran it at max power all the time, just to get it to perform dismally. Seriously disappointing!
***
In your video, you took a very short dirt hill or dirt ramp at speed to make it to the top. You were unable to take off from a dead stop at its bottom and not stall within a couple of inches. Also, it was very apparent that the scooter was slowing down considerably as it climbed the maybe 6 feet of slope.
Definitely would get 2 batteries
Its a great option 👍👍
Dude at least wear gloves maan! How you going to protect yourself if you come off? No chance without gloves at least bro.
And minor ankle and knee injury injuries*
And that was 21mph this electric scooter goes 40mph or 50mph I'd hate to imagine how devastating the injury could be at those scary speed.
Why not? You have shyed away from it for some reasons. We're disappointed!
It's probably not as good as the APOLLO CITY PRO OR THE PRO.😊
They have superior regen-brakes!!!🎉❤
Better next time???
The ebrakes on the Dualtrons are set within the display and then kick in when braking manually. They are not independently controlled 👍
For who is this for? The handlebar is very low.
Same height as most dualtrons so will be fine for most but for really tall guys it might be a problem! 👍
@@RIDEGLIDE it looks like it's below the waistline
What massive battery? What massive motors? I have a City and I bought it in March. You have to be kidding! These scooters are far from fast or powerful! The damned thing can barely do 23 mph up a slight hill! FASTEST I have ever gotten mine to go on MAX settings is down hill and 39 mph!
You are right - this e-scooter is not for speed. This is a cruiser for a quiet relaxed ride and for enjoyment.
Looks like a nice idea but not well executed. The three pipes are the ugliest, last minute solution ever. With a wheel of that size, go with a normal mountain bike fork suspension. Those arms look cool but physics will make durability an (safety) issue.
Yer there are definitely some improvements that could be made but a really fun scooter 👍
It must ride nice but i don't like the way it looks
Know what you mean, the look is not for everyone but the ride is so comfortable 🙌
Bars are to short
Be nice if you politics out of your comments.
Glad you watched the review, have you managed to have a go on the city yet? Its awesome! Let us know what politics and we can try to avoid in future? 😀
He can't magically change crackpipe's user name
Apollo is basically running a Ponzi-type company. It took me 3 months to get my scooter and when I did the charger failed after the first charge. Guess what? They have no chargers in stock! Maybe six weeks before I get a replacement. Who can I report this company to? Their marketing is top-notch but they cannot deliver what they are selling. Please include in your reviews about lead time and parts replacement.
dualtran rides
OMG, the display on the handlebars is so ugly. I'd rather not have a display at all than have something this awful
Its been the dualtron display for years but they have brought out a new one on a few of their newest models!! 😀😀
Короткий руль, плохая амортизация (эластомеры), отсутствующий упор для ноги... дрова это, а не самокат.
I have a couple of questions I hope you can answer them *And I know it's 3 weeks since you uploaded them but if you could answer my questions I would be really appreciate and respect you for taking your time out to answer my questions and would even considering subscribing to you*
So my question is if you own Xiaomi Mi pro 2/3 or xiaomi electric scooter 4 pro since it is the most popular electric scooter right now since nearly everyone owns xiaomi scooters from what I see their everywhere
Then my question is: Is Dualtron city worth buying how much range did you get on a good day with continously riding on top speed mode.
On Sport mode
So I am now thinking about buying 500w front wheel monorim motor and 48v battery for slightly better speed and range increase.
@@RIDEGLIDE Thanks I am considering buying Dualtron City Pro!
The bigger wheels the higher center of gravity, automatically mean's mora stability!!!
