Still watching but this points are really good, tired of hearing stories of people back home chopping their money while pretending to have built the house.
Nice brief! Just to add, please after seeing the land one wants to buy, you should use a lawyer you TRUST to verify the papers in the land office. This is to be sure the seller is the authentic owner of the land. Use a trustworthy contractor, who will take care of any hurdles you might face such as levies etc when building a house. I prefer to buy a house in the city lol than build one from scratch to avoid hassles.
Hello Flo. I was first drawn to your channel after watching your village vlog. Those videos were very nostalgic for me.You are such a brilliant human being. I have never subscribed to any site in my life, but your brilliance and smarts made me subscribe to your channel. I just bought some properties in Lagos and Owerri and will commence building soon. Your advice and tips are very informative and educational. And yes, I have trusted family members who would oversee the projects for me. I saw your other video and I am Engineer C . Thank you so much for your videos.
Also, please dive deep into setting up business in Nija. I am already into farming in Nigeria growing palms and fruit trees in Anambra with my sister. But my next step is setting up a business place in Anambra so your insight on this would be very much appreciated. More blessings to you!
Great information Flo! I am from Tanzania living abroad. A lot of this advice is applicable even to those of us who are not from Nigeria! Keep up good work!
Hello Flo. I got in touch with Rachel (Sendwave) and she added additional £5 for me to be used against my next transfer. Many tnx for all your help and insight. You are doing a great job. ✌✌✌
Thanks madam, your video is really informative. The price of cement now is 5000 naira in edo state, 2023. And it is this season I am building my house, cement is very expensive now. May God help us.
Waooo, Beautiful sister FLO, you have done very well again, Good JOB. as for me I am done building APARTMENT housing for RATE and my retirement HOUSE for now, I am building SHOPS, A MINI SHOPPING CENTER for RATE. About 20 SHOPS, is almost done. That is another good investment in Nigeria.

Well said Flo... However, i will advice that after getting the building plan ready, whoever wants to build should get a Bill of Quantities (BOQ). This is to be prepared by a Quantity Surveyor and it will tell you the probable cost of your construction. In addition, the document would tell you how much you should be spending on the foundation, blocks, pillars, slabs e.t.c. It will also bw important and help you know at what point you have been spending too much for each stage of work. For example, if the BOQ says you are to spend say 2million for your foundation and you've spent 4m already and you've not finished the foundation, then you know something is wrong. With this, you won't have to wait till it's the end of the project before you know you're being taken advantage of. I am a Quantity Surveyor and I know this.
Well said aunty Flo. This exactly what we did and it's working for us, almost all d family members are aware of what's going on once my mother in-law is not sire she calls to ask or say, same with cousin and sibling. So having good relationship with family is very important.
