Alt text video description: Alex Gaskarth wakes up in a french fry costume. The band performs on a city street. Alex, still in costume, sees a girl and drops his Monster Energy Drink. He tries to approach her but she's turned off by his appearance, he chases her home. He tries to say hi to and hug various people, but they are all afraid of his costume. While still chasing the girl, he sees his reflection and realizes that he is a zombie and is covered in blood. The entire band now looks like zombies. It is then revealed that when Alex was trying to say hi to and hug everyone, he was actually eating them
For everyone saying they miss old all time low: a while ago someone went to an all time low show and held up a sign saying 'we want the old all time low back', Alex stopped the show and said to the girls that you can't expect people not to grow up and change. Alex looked really upset. He was right, you can't expect people to be the same forever. And since their music reflects themselves their music won't be the same either.

The lyrics I think is about how people (like me) who get so used to being suicidal that when they feel fine, it seems abnormal like being depressed is my normal and somethings gotta give if I feel ok. “I’m dying to live” meaning that they are trying there best to live even tho usually they just wouldn’t care. The rest of the lyrics I think are thoughts and things u think and do when u have anxiety and depression or any other mental illness.
See I’ve done a ok analysis, why don’t teachers actually use stuff like lyrics and poems and actually talk about the relevant stuff not the fact that the curtains are blue, what if the curtains are just blue no metaphor no nothing. Like why can’t we learn the meaning behind the whole poem it self and explore the topics and not just focusing on stupid shit like oh there was a cat in the room that must mean the person in the room is sneaky, like no the person just likes cats

This is honestly one of my favorite music videos of all time. And in my opinion it matches the song perfectly.
The first time you watch it, you're just as confused as Alex is. Why is he wearing a fries costume? Why is that girl running away from him? Why are his friends afraid of him? Then he says "woah" and it all makes sense.
He's been stuck in a situation in life that he absolutely hates, with no conceivable means of escape. And the only way he can deal with it is to shut himself down mentally and emotionally; to the point where he's dead inside, like a zombie. In his mind he's completely normal, but when he looks in the mirror he doesn't even recognize himself. The stranger's bed he woke up in is in fact his own bed. His best friends don't even want to be around him anymore because they're afraid his depression will rub off on them. Girls he might be attracted to run from him because they can clearly see how miserable he is. And he's realized that he needs to get out of that situation, or else he's going to die. "Something's Gotta Give". (That's just my interpretation anyway. Obviously it's not the de facto meaning behind the video).
I don't really relate to the song anymore, but I absolutely did when it first came out. And it's an underrated song/music video in my opinion. All Time Low is such a great band!

8 years later and this is still my favorite music video of all time. it fits the song and focuses on the band playing but still has a clear and enticing story including a memorable plot twist. this is my favorite all time low song and always has been and i attribute that to how much i absolutely love the video. as an aspiring filmmaker, this is so inspirational.

Pretty funny though. All Time Low is seriously the funniest non-comedy band right now. They can't stay serious for more than 5 minutes at a time, no matter what they're doing.
I guess things are really about perspective. From my view, this video wasn't even close to comedy. But I guess from your view it is. (I'm not saying it was bad, I'm saying it had a different meaning to it for me)
I've seen much weirder. Specifically, Flying Lotus - Ready Err Not, clipping. - Inside Out, and Death Grips - Inanimate Sensation. Totally different genres, different vibes, but much more random and strange. I'd recommend checking them out.
By the way, not bashing ATL, just throwing these videos out there. Also, Liars - Mess on a Mission is strange.

My view on it was the first half Alex was already a zombie. He was walking around, thinking that he was greeting everybody and didn't know why they were all scared. When he sees his reflection, he realizes that he has been a zombie the whole time and was really eating everyone instead of greeting/playing with them. Really, if you catch it, it's a huge plot twist.

When I was a child, I accidentally saw this video on some music channel on TV and burst into tears. Just imagine that one day you woke up and everything seems to be fine, but people are running away from you. You just want to cheer them up! There's also this mythical magical thing known as "lip liner" that's said to in some lands even be expendable enough to be found at regular gas stations or drug stores, though I'm sure that's only a myth. These lip injections that you speak of seem way less expensive, more practical and more realistic.
