I'm flying my 185 to Utah for the first time tomorrow, getting some instruction and experience. I have a thousand questions for you, but this isn't the forum for that. Maybe we'll meet up in Utah or Oshkosh or somewhere. . . .
No kidding. I was waiting to see an "airstrip". I still am. Love how the stall warning went off just as the wheels touched down. I have seen this in other videos of this gentleman.
WOW, U Lucky Devil You !! Beautiful, how sweet it is and I wish u lots of more Safe Flights and fun !! Thanks 4 the video clip I did enjoy this !! ❤❤😅😅
God has surely blessed with amazing Skywagon Driver skills! 'Just purchased a 180 with O-550 Texas Skyway and have just 25 or so hours in this aircraft. 'Hope to get in the vicinity of your skills some day. 'Also, getting a few quotes on a Garmin 3X Touch & engine analyzer to add to my Garmin 430W/530W to be somewhat similar to your setup which, by the way, is very well configured. 'Really enjoy your videos.
Hey Kirk, awesome clips. I fly a 185 in South Africa. Are you using full flaps for these short field landings? And do you usually opt for a tail low wheeler or full-flap three pointer?
Full flaps on every landing. Cool. I’d love to fly a wagon around South Africa.... someday. Three point for the shortest stuff. Tail low wheel for general off airport or backcountry ops.
Wow! Amazing flying in a gorgeous place!
Thank you
I miss flying the 185, I’ve been in the airlines for 18 years and every time I see a 185 I think about buying one. Thanks for the great video.
You’re welcome. Thanks for the kind words
So many memories. Love all the sounds... trim wheel, stall horn, wind.
Fantastic video. Great memories. Thanks!
I have about 800 hours in a 185F. Out of all the airplanes I’ve flown, I miss that one the most.

What song did you use after landing, with the female voice?
Sorry I don’t know. Something from the GoPro app…
Yipes! Didn't see the runway until his wheels were on the ground!
It’s a special place. Perhaps my favorite approach in the Frank.
So what brand/kind of split screen is that you have?
That’s a Dynon HDX. It’s fantastic
That gave me the willies watching that. The danger involved was so thick I could cut it with a knife.
Not much wiggle room here.
Great video except for the cheesy music.
How’s the fishing?
Yeah I get people that whine if I do or don’t. Tough decision on the sound. Either way I like it and that’s what counts.
Fishing is fantastic
talk about no go around. lol
I'm sure you've already seen this, but yea, absolutely no go-around. ua-cam.com/video/NGt6TmkYdUw/v-deo.html
