It's pretty clear Ethan hasn't watched enough episodes of hoarders to know it's pretty common for some people to cook in their bathroom when the kitchen sink is unusable. Still definitely an art piece though

I'm also pretty skeptical of the video, because it feels so genuine up until he tastes it. Until that moment we, as an audience, are led to believe that this is a tried and true recipe - one that even though gross to the viewer, is beloved by this man. His retching tells us that this is a new recipe, yet he never once questions how well these flavors and textures will combine. He also wildly overreacts to what is probably a very predictable flavor. The reckless abandon with which he cooks is just the icing on the cake here. The way he just slams that hotdog into an empty saucepan... he's like a precursor to HowToBasic.

This is very real, there are MANY of these videos. They're from about 10-15 years ago. What we are seeing is SEVERE mental illness. You can find more, the most notable being one where he "cooks a steak". It's real, it's sad and terrible.

When I was very depressed I had one friend who was a total loser in every sense and I loved him dearly. People asked me why I even hanged out with him, and well, it was because I was depressed, nothing could really make me happy but no matter how bad my life got I’d look at my looser friend and think at least it’s not that bad. Nothing could lift me up at that time but it was at least nice to be drowning in company. This video is like that friend

I personally have missed you and worried about you for a while but I could feel that you absolutely did what you needed to do by stepping away from the spot light and I am so glad that you allowed yourself to take that time.
