Man that turned out wicked cool. Like I said, I have a handful of redlines that I really want to fix up. I gotta get on that soon, get over my fear of them.

Love this Camaro! First h.wheels I ever bought new.! I played with it a lot as a kid. It's still in good shape (mostly ) a few small chips. Thanks for restoring this classic, you did a fantastic job! I even like it better without the black roof. !

I remember when hotwheels discontinued having vehicles with opening hood. In spite of the warning label on the packaging telling peeple not to put them in their mouths or the opening hood will get lodged in the throat, peeple would put them in their mouths and get them lodged in their throats! I think the warning is still on the package.

Yep that’s the condition I get my redlines in, you can also start with the less popular castings too they are often in better condition but cheap. The hardest parts of doing a redline is drilling the post and finding certain parts.

Great resto Paul. Is it necessary to polish the body for spectraflame paint? I notice you do that specifically with spectraflame. Great step by step with the hood replacement.

That resto turned out beautiful! Im going try that hood replacement process you use! Have you dealt with the very common bent or missing cowl on the 67 Camaro? I have one that is missing a cowl waiting for me to tackle.

Totally enjoyed the video going to try my first restore. My question is Do you add anything to the paint before you spray and do you prime. Also does it need a chrome base coat for the paint to work. I build plastic models Heartbeat Model Shop. So I have airbrush. Thanks Rick

Great video on this Camaro. Also great info on fixing hoods. Question for ya on that subject: I have a Sugar Caddy that I am restoring and I bought a new hood from Redline shop. Of course, I already broke the hood. You see, the Sugar Caddy's hood is diff than the Camaro. The hood has 2 little forks that go over the caddy's body. It's the body that actually has the pins unlike the Camaro. Any ideas on how to fix and install the Caddy's hood? thanks in advance
