Made this 3 times and the last one was for grandma's birthday... Everyone loved it and we added berries..well, grandma added a bit of cognac and maple syrup. Had to comment the credits to you because I ve been getting a lot of compliments. Thanks so much!!
I'm Italian, I live in Italy near Milan, and I have been following you for a while. I must say that this recipe is a perfect replica of the traditional tiramisù but plant based. Great job! I will be making this, grazie :)
This is a perfect recipe! The joy on your face after the first bite made it worth watching the video. In Turkey, whenever someone cooks something, or makes something by hand, they say "elinize sağlık" (pronounced: Elli-knee-zay saa-luck) which means 'bless your hands.' Elinize Sağlık to you!
Immediatly went to prepare this, half recipe, we're 2. I prepare 4 minicakes in a silicon form and then cut them in half. Mini tiramisu. The batter tastes delicious already, tomorrow morning to the topping! Much love from France! PS. Out of vanilla, I put a pinch of cardamome into the batter, not very italian, but tastes great.
I’m not completely vegan, but I’m making more plant based recipes. You’ve saved my life with these desserts I’m finding on your channel! Can’t wait to try this recipe and the hummingbird cake!
Watching this seconds after it popped into my feed and already planning a trip to the local coffee shop to buy a cup of high-quality espresso to make this for my GF/vegan brother who LOVES tiramisu but hasn't had it in years. Thankkkkkk youuuuu for this!
That looks absolutely delicious. Love the fact that not oil or butter is needed. Something I can enjoy now more often. Thank you so much for this recipe. You’re a genius 💕💕
Looks good.. (Shine with Plants, Fabiola, made a tiramisu for her daughter, Chelsea's 2nd birthday 7/22/18 ..she used Unconventional Baker recipe with walnuts and coconut oil) your recipe looks lighter.. I don't have a kitchen.. I'm hoping to try this recipe someday..
This was posted on my Birthday, so I decided to make it that night for my special dessert. Loved it so much I made it two nights in a row! It's also my Mom's favorite dessert, so I'll be making it for her when she comes to visit.
I love how nicely and calmly you made this. I just watched a few recipes where I was like what did they add because they were so quick lol... Thanks for the wonderful recipe for the cake too! I love that.
Thank you thank you so much , this is my husband favorite cake that he was missing all the time, because there is no sugar free vegan tiramisu to buy, at least in our city. Thankssssssssss
Update: I went home from work and could not wait to make this.... made it and confirmed it is SOOOOO GOOD!! Thanks again for the awesome recipe, Jill! You make being plant based a whole lot more delicious!!
Friends of mine and I are having a dual birthday get together. You’ve done me no wrong 👍🏽 this was his request. So I’ll bust it out (theyre omnivorous friends, wish me luck!)
Made this tonight and it looked great. Couldn't taste the espresso much but as always your cashew cream is delicious. I wonder how much different it is having used Almond milk instead of Soy. Thanks Jill.
Oh my Gosh, this looks amazing.. I love making Tiramisu, but i've a friend who's avoiding dairy, so this will be the first Vegan Tiramisu I'll make..Soo looking forward.. Thanks a lot for making this sooo easy..
I LOVE Tiramisu! Not a fan of coffee per se, but I love Tiramisu! My Gf won't eat any Tiramisu if it has coffee in it as she HATES coffee with a passion! I really want her to be able to enjoy a good Tiramisu because, well, she DESERVES to experience the goodness of Tiramisu! Am I right?! So here's what I am wondering... Is it possible to make this without coffee? Here me out. I was thinking wherever we have the coffee, just replace it with one of those flavored Cappucinos? Problem with those is they are SOOOO darn sweet!!! Penny for your thoughts? Thanks for this recipe, Lee
I think that would work but you are right, those flavored "coffees" are loaded with sugar and junk that kind of defeats the purpose. I'm not really sure what to tell you for a substitute, sorry. You might just have to experiment.
I have a silly question. I am looking forward to making this in the next week or so for my partner‘s birthday, I have a concern because I don’t understand how you would get something like this out of a mold without making a big mess. Are there any tips you can give for carefully getting this out of the mold once it’s been in the fridge for a few days? I am very new to plant-based cooking and baking, any help is much appreciated and will ease my anxiety loads! Thanks so much in advance! I am praying that my attempt of this tiramisu recipe looks even a fraction as yummy as this does! 💗
I use silicone bread pans to bake the cake part. Cakes come right out of the pan without an oil or anything 👍The rest of the assembly is free form. No molds needed
@@wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow Oh wow I did not expect to receive a message from this actual account? I’m happily freaking out now ☺️ Thank you so much For clarifying that I’m feeling much more confident going forth with this! Thank you so very much! 💝
Hey Jill, For Tiramisu you use which size of Loaf Pan please? For Coffee, Espresso powder can work? You say Strong brewed Coffee but I dont know anything about coffee...please help thanks
this cake looks amazing. i'm not a coffee lover (or even like it) but I'm thinking up ways to add another flavour into it. could you mix cocoa powder with water and use that instead of the coffee to put over the cake? or maybe lemon and water? or a citrus blend... hmmm the possibilities. Also being GF and here in Australia, Oats aren't GF. So do you think you can use all almond meal or would it be best to do 50 / 50 with another GF flour (or maybe blend up rice flakes?)
Yes, some kind of citrus liquid would be delicious. For the cake, I haven’t really tried any substitutes. I think all almond meal would be too heavy so I would try the gluten free flour mix.
does this work if i only have one bread tin and want to bake this in two batches, or all together in one go then slice the large cake in half to create two slices?
Is there anything I can use other than cashews? My husband has a nut allergy. So many WFPBNO recipes call for cashews or other nuts. They look yummy, but can't do that I him. Any substitutions?
😣 I don’t drink coffee ☕️ because I don’t like it but into the tiramisu the taste is different and I like it so much! 🥰 But if you don’t like it maybe you can try it with Baileys!!! 😋
Thank you so much Jill for making a wfpb Tirimisu!!! This is one of my favorite desserts. Is there a spice similar to espresso that is not caffeinated or alcoholic? Im wondering if chicory, ginger cinnamon cardamom would be good substitutes or additions.
Interesting channel i have seen a number of your videos, it’s very fun to watch you eat your food at the end. But honestly it seems like you use the same ingredients in every recipe how does your food not taste all the same?

Husband is allergic to oats. What would you suggest to use as an alternative gluten free “flour/meal” for this recipe, please.
Txs! I have the same question.
Thank you 💖
I hope I can pull this off for my husband's birthday in June.

Thank you! Any suggestions for oats substitution? Can I use any other gluten-free flours?
This looks amazing! We have someone with an oat allergy. Anyone have ideas for substitutions for oats?
What a guilt free and healthy recipe. Just one question, can we make this recipe gluten free?
This recipe is gluten free
Make sure to use gluten free rolled oats. That is along as your not allergic to oats.
How did you know I needed this 😄
What can the oats (flour) be replaced with for similar texture/fluffyness? (Oats allergy).

What about maca? That would add a nice caramely/butterscotch flavor.
This is an answer to prayer❤️
Absolutely 💯.

Absolutely
Hey Jill,
For Tiramisu you use which size of Loaf Pan please?
For Coffee, Espresso powder can work?
You say Strong brewed Coffee but I dont know anything about coffee...please help thanks
My pans are 9x4x2.5 inches. Anything that is close will do fine.Espresso powder will work dissolved in a bit of water

jill soak your dates in the very water youre gonna be putting into the blender, so you dont lose any of the sweet juice!
I wouldn’t use the soak water because cashews are a very dirty nut. js
@@jules-qu6xg soak the dates and use that water along with dates… for cashews i rinse the water off cuz yes the water goes very dirty

I would make one large cake and cut it in half 👍
Hi Jill could I subsitute vanilla powder for vanilla extract?
Absolutely
Can we use brazilian nuts instead if cashews in this recipe and in other recipes that require cashews?
Hm, I’ve never tried using Brazil nuts in my recipes. Not really sure, sorry
@@wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow thank you
In the UK lady fingers are called sponge fingers so yes cake not shortbread 🥰
Is there a substitute for almond meal? I am allergic to nuts (except cashews).
cashew flour
Where is the recipe? It looks great and I love Tiramisu!!
plantbasedcookingshow.com/2021/05/22/vegan-tiramisu/
can I substitute the dates with something else?
Raisins or prunes
What other nut-free flour can I use?
Do you use almond meal or almond flour? You're using them interchangeably but there is a difference.
I use them both and in my recipes you will get similar results from either.
Finally a vegan GF Tiramisu 😋 🙌
Is there anything I can use other than cashews? My husband has a nut allergy. So many WFPBNO recipes call for cashews or other nuts. They look yummy, but can't do that I him. Any substitutions?
Sorry, I haven’t found anything that works very well yet.
@@wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow thank you. It looks delicious, tho. 🌿
You can try a tofu based cream :)
If your husband is not allergic to coconuts, you can use coconut cream. if not, use a soy based cream.

Almonds

I heard you Jill say that you can use decaf if you don’t drink caffeine
Could I use some other nut? I’m allergic to cashews!
Almonds
Are you talking baking cocoa powder or cocoa beverage powder?
baking cocoa powder
How can I add the coffee liquor to this recipe?
I would stir it into the espresso 👍
