I am here to regrettably inform everyone that this is the recipe I discovered my lactose intolerance 😭 If I could go back and choose whether or not to eat this again…. I would eat it everytime!
Have you tried those pills with the lactase enzyme? That is of course not long term solution, but those might help it you want to occasionally indulge yourself with something containing dairy.
Agreed! And I just love when you intermingle the stories and anecdotes from your vast experience of being a chef and teacher for these 51+ years! Keep it up chef! ❤❤❤
“Jack, did I forget the vanilla?” “OK, I’ll add the vanilla now.” THIS is why the channel is great. We’re all busy, we all may miss a step. So to see a multi-decade pro own up to it makes this hack home cook feel a little better and relieved!
A family member of mine like Tiramisu from a local Vietnamese place (texture and flavor), I have tried tons of recipes and no matter what they just say it's different. I tried this one and now finally I have an answer to making them Tiramisu, they LOVED it! Thank you so much Chef, just because something is a shortcut or easier should not stop it from being someones favorite. All your recipes are fantastic that I've made, but the most important is I've advanced so incredibly far as a home cook because your teaching just flows so organically that it's almost effortless to learn and to make delicious food! My mother always talked about Julia Child's changing her life in the kitchen, I will forever tell people Chef Jean-Pierre changed my life in the kitchen. You are truly a once in a generation chef and teacher!
"If you don't drink booze, you should try" 🤣🤣🤣 Chef has the best sense of humor of ANY cooking channel I subscribe to. It's no wonder he is so successful, he masters technique, he is likeable, approachable, and passionate about his craft.
I agree with all the others....Time is not important. Watching you is more fun and we all learn more. I'm retired....make 'em as long as you want...just don't forget anything. LOL
Chef Jeans's Channel is a biweekly highlight, where the talented chef shares his easy to understand culinary knowledge combined with his infectious sense of humor, creating a highly entertaining experience for his viewers.
I really enjoy watching Chef Jean-Peirre. I love adding to my collection of authentic Italian family recipes. I was stationed at AFSouth, Naples Italy for 3 years. I know the differences between American Italian and real Italian.
Chef, your show is like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day so please, let us bask in your warmth for as long as it takes, there is no need to shorten the videos.
Chef Pierre, thank you for adapting the recipe for those of us who do not have a chef’s kitchen or patience. I’ve always been intimidated to make Tiramisu but no more!!! I’m super excited!!! You’re the BESTEST!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
In a world dominated by bite-sized entertainment, watching a detailed video on fine cuisine is truly a privilege. Please do not let the algorithm bully you into shortening the length of your videos. ❤
Oh I just love Tiramisu. I'm so happy you shared this recipe with us, Chef JP. I've never made my own lady fingers. Thank you for the tips and tricks on making this recipe. I learn so much from you and it helps me understand why my Mom made recipes the way she did. You're the best, Chef JP. Thank you again.
What a nice twist to the traditionnal recipe.l just made one two weeks ago. I am looking forward to trying this version. Thank you chef Jean-pierre. Watching you from the French Alpes.
Another twist is that in 500 comments only 2-3 people noticed that this recipe is quite different. The ratio cream/mascarpone is off the charts. I have to try it though. I'm also confused why the name "Easy Tiramisu...." .
I made this Saturday and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised that this short version worked out so nicely. I made it exactly as the video shows and everybody really enjoyed it. I usually make the long version tiramisu where you temper the eggs and you have to let it soak for at least 48 hours before serving. This is a wonderful alternative if you want to put some thing yummy on the table in a hurry. Thank you for sharing
Your videos are never too long. We can't wait for the next video but can't sit through a few minutes. I wish your videos were an hour. Love you Chef and Jack!
You know what makes a Chef even more amazing, when he makes something and someone like myself with no cooking skills gets an idea from something amazing the Chef made. Thank you Chef and if I do make the idea I came up with from this one dish, I'll give you credit.
I love you videos. But please, oh please don’t rush it so. Don’t call for a heart attack. Also hear how breathless you become, it‘s not like you would need to work against the clock. I‘m so thankful for your videos, only discovered them a short time ago. Your enthusiasm, your great sense of humor, your knowledge and experience, your whole personality, all of it brightens my day :) Thank you so much for giving that so freely. This is the first video that I encounter in which you look and sound really chased and rushing. Please take your time. You love what you do and I love watching you do it at ease. Not on speed ;)
What a great demonstration - always love the step by steps - can cook side by side with Chef JP ☺️ - the visuals are really good - Jack captures all the close up details really well. I haven't made a tiramisu in years - this cake style one looks really great! On my list to do. Thank you 🙏🏻
Your This Tiramisu recipe is a slice of dessert heaven! ☕🍰 The creamy layers and the perfect balance of sweet❤😍. Your clear and detailed instructions make it feel achievable for home bakers like me. ❤😊I can't wait to try this recipe and savor the classic Italian delight. Thanks for sharing this delectable culinary masterpiece! 🍽😋
I absolutely love Tiramisu. My mother first made it years ago with store bought Lady Finger biscuits. Coffee and cream with a dashing of booze and some cocoa. What’s not to love.
What a great experience cooking along with you, we HAD to taste test quite a bit along the way. Your tips were perfectly timed and so insightful to make us successful, there’s a lot of tricks and I’m so grateful for how willingly you share your experience. All the parts turned out so well. Thank you, Chef!
Chef, I have been making tiramisu for years; and in my experience, store bought, Italian, Savoiardi lady fingers are best for this desert. They don't get soggy when dipping in coffee mixture.
Thank you Chef Jean-Pierre for showing this version of Tiramisu. I love how you have shown us how easy this is to do! I definitely am going to include this in my holiday menu. I always like to have varied dessert options for people for Thanksgiving and this particular recipe ticks the box on EASY for a great tasting dessert. You are a class act and a born teacher, your students when you had your cooking school received a five star education.
You are our favorite chef, and this is our favorite dessert. When you used the spoon to scoop it out my husband said now, you're talking lol that is the way he likes to serve it too lol. You always put a smile on our face and Joy in our hearts. Thank you so very much for this recipe.
I'm certainly glad you're not a drywaller. Not that you wouldn't have made a good one, but we wouldn't be able to taste your delicious recipes. Keep 'em coming Chef.
I love this chef Very flexible If you don’t want to make the cake then use store bought lady’s fingers If you don’t drink alcohol then skip it Can’t find mascarpone in your area then do cream cheese And do you all know the best part of this Tiramisu is There are no smelly raw egg whites in the cream! The egg whites smell so bad when you eat with a stainless steel spoon 🥄
had this style of tiramisu years ago at a family function. it looked like a slice of ice cream cake. i was hooked. it's been about 30 years and about 30 pounds of tiramisu since. i haven't had anything like it in all this time. gonna give this a try
Chef Jean-Pierre ! I can’t believe I could teach you something since you are the expert here. To put the syrup on, I use one of those small spray bottles. It works a lot faster than the brush but you don’t over do it like could happen using a ladle. The only inconvenience about that, you spray a little over the sides of the pan and you have to wipe the pan when you done with the syrup. Oh, and also you have to clean the bottle after you are done, don’t let the bottle dry with syrup residue on it. Hope you might find this method useful 😊
I make tiramisu on Christmas every year with my aunts recipe and it's my favourite!! I always make 2 variants. 1 traditional and another one with an extra layer of caramel. My mother once made one with white chocolate and bittersweet cookies. Was also very good! (Best part 19:50)
Yet another masterpiece by the Maestro. Chef, next year could you do a Thanksgiving Week for Canadian Thanksgiving (2nd Sunday in October). I am sure you have a large number of us Canucks who love your channel.
This isn't a tiramisù. He's cooked the cream which isn't in the original recipe, and added kahlua. If you want to do your version of the cake do it without calling it tiramisù. Tiramisù is a "dolce al cucchiaio" which means nothing is cooked.
@@antoniopalomba7303 If you want to be a purist, good for you. It's still tiramisu, it just isn't the traditional way of making it. As long as it tastes good, I don't care.
Chef Jean Pierre, I like this recipe, looks so good. I will make this ASAP. Thank you for another well-explained cooking video. Best Regards to you and Jack.
I made this recipe as a dessert for dinner with a few friends (your creamy garlic chicken was the main course!) and everyone loved both courses. Merci Beaucoup Chef!
Thank you for sharing your talent and love of food with us. I tried this - but with my coffee mixture I use in my 'old' recipe. It's Expresso, sugar and cognac. It's delicious!

I’ll just have to try this next time some friends come for dinner, I can make it the day before and then all I have to worry about is dinner, fabulous. Thank you Chef another beautiful dish from you.🥰
What a great recipe, will be trying this.. I love all your videos. True talent! I love cooking and so appreciated that you share your skills to us all to learn. Great character, keep doing what your doing! Absolute legend
My tiramisu game is pretty tight in my family loves it when I make it. Secret is you put the savoiardi in the coffee and instantly turn it over and take it out, don’t leave it in. Love this idea though and I’m surely gonna try it
French Chef Jean-Pierre has been going Italian on us recently. Not a problem; my family loves that too. Heck, I don't care if you do Thai or Mexican or just do stand-up.
Love your culinary training. I really appreciate the opportunity to get to know you and learn more about cooking. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
Where have you been all my life😂. I used to live in Vista California, where there is a wonderful Italian restaurant "Ciao"that made the most delicious Tiramisu, I moved to the Midwest in 2016 and have searched for my favorite desert gave up and have been making my own. I have tried many recipes but until I found you had nothing but more disappointment 😢. Thank you for your video and recipe I tried it out and not only is it easy it was superb! You made my life so much happier🎉
@The_chefjeanpierre. çok teşekkür ederim .. Bugün gözlerim karnaval yaşadı 😇buda yeterli benim için..Bizi düşünmeniz ayrı bir güzellik .. Ellerinize sağlık.🍮🍮🍮
Wonderful as usual chef JP! Please do not worry about speed, this is how we learn from you and I love watching you! Here is a stupid question chef, If you do not drink coffe can I substitute coffee syrup with a chocolate syrup?
I am here to regrettably inform everyone that this is the recipe I discovered my lactose intolerance 😭 If I could go back and choose whether or not to eat this again…. I would eat it everytime!
Get lactose pills and u can eat this every now and then
I recently found out I am allergic to dairy. What kind of chef is allergic to dairy?
A chef that takes very small bites when testing food! I have also learned to cook with milk free products. Some are not bad, some are just horrible.
This is exactly why I haven't tried tiramisu yet; I've wanted to for over 10 years
Have you tried those pills with the lactase enzyme? That is of course not long term solution, but those might help it you want to occasionally indulge yourself with something containing dairy.
Chef, we enjoy being with you so much so please don’t rush the recipes to shorten the time on UA-cam.
Agreed! We're fortunate to have a knowledgeable chef willing to spend time teaching and showing us how to cook well. ~ Lisa
I absolutely enjoy longer vids on almost all topics on UA-cam

What a great Vado. I giggled the whole show. Thx for sharing. I love tiramisu
Excellent recipe. I have been
looking for this for a long time. So precise. Thank you.😊
That's so yummy tasty like tiramisu tasty dessert
I made quite a simillar one but keto. I just replaced the flour with almond flour and the sugar with erythriol. And i used Amaretto. Very delicious!
Looks so much better than store bought tiramisu! 😊
Absolutely! No comparison!
Love that you make a sheet cake in stead of lady fingers. Much easier!!! 👏👏
great as a Gluten Free option there is one brand of GF ladyfingers but they are expensive and hard to find.

I have got to make this, my favorite dessert. I love your videos, thanks for sharing

Yup, another Canuck here from the West Coast
The only miss is the cocoa layer in between. We make tiramisu almost tart. Very lean in sugar. Butterscotch rum aroma is key.
My favorite! Gonna make this for my mom.
