Haha, the thumbnail is confusing/misleading. We aren't actually back back. This was us returning in Feb of this year. We are still in Europe but I am very much missing the Mexico life!
Man yall yall took all the green sauce lol. Those tacos did look fire, and thanks for the info on the Visa update. I still have 2 more months left on my last 6 month Visa.😐😆
Yeah, watching it over again on camera is funnier--maybe too much sauce lol. Yeah, it's quite new. When we were traveling in 2021 it wasn't a thing yet, but it seems like they're cracking down at MEX and CUN airports. Enjoy your remaining time!!
Glad you got back safely. On the culinary front, the best meal we had was at Rosetta. Our favourite bar was The Whiskey Bar on Amsterdam - the proprietor and staff were fabulous. We stayed at Culiacán 4. I have a great photo of my two sons standing either side of the enormous wolf’s head painted on the building’s garage doors but have no idea how to post it. Keep enjoying your retirement!! M
Hey Malcolm! This thumbnail was a little misleading/confusing--we are still in Europe. This is from our most recent trip back to CDMX in Feb 2022. Glad to hear you enjoyed Rosetta! I will need to add The Whiskey Bar to my list and try it next time! Happy to hear it was a solid trip overall--thank you!
Since you talk finances, I thought I would ask your opinion. I love to travel. I have thought of creating a UA-cam channel in order to claim the travel expense on my taxes to offset other income. I understand the odds of making money with UA-cam are low. Do you think this is a valid plan to reduce the cost of travel?
In short, yes. 1) I think _everyone_ should create a UA-cam channel or something similar because I think the future is your brand/community. 2) I don't think the odds of making money on UA-cam are low. Making a ton of money and getting rich might be, but once you get to 1k subs and 4k watch time, you will slowly start making money. 3) Yes, you can schedule C any costs you incur on your tax return but be careful how liberal you are. The IRS can be finicky with "work" travel vs "personal" travel. Log everything and keep your receipts! Please let me know your thoughts!
@@intristang I am always looking for ways to reduce my federal income tax. I own a telepsychiatry business and office buildings in my town. I love to travel and try to associate travel with business activities. When I travel outside of the USA, I cannot claim expenses associated with my businesses. I believe if I film each day I am traveling and use my family as co-owners and participants, the UA-cam business would be a way to reduce the cost of the travel and if it makes money all the better.
@@James-dx6sf I hear that! I am definitely not a tax expert/professional but sounds like you're on the right path. I'd just continue doing your research and seeing what's tenable/legal. Highly recommend starting a channel though!
Hi! Sorry this was misleading--we are only back in video form 😅 We are in Europe for the summer. Currently in Budapest. This Wednesday's video should clear everything up going forward. Cheers!
