  • In this city at sea, thousands of sailors live and work in close proximity to each other. A single enemy attack could completely destroy the aircraft carrier. But fires and accidents caused by human error can also occur. With thousands of people living on the ship, it is extremely vulnerable. Behind the scenes, advanced medical facilities and highly trained personnel are prepared for the worst-case scenario. How does the crew prepare for a severe scenario? What resources are available for emergency care? What happens to the wounded who cannot be treated on board? How are victims evacuated from the ship in the middle of the sea?
When disaster strikes on an aircraft carrier, the first moments are a chaotic whirlwind of action. Yet, within this chaos lies a well-defined response plan with one unwavering goal: saving lives. From the moment an incident occurs, the focus shifts entirely to preserving life. The mission, operational concerns, and everything else become secondary. All available resources are mobilized to locate, treat, and stabilize the injured.

I understand that all sailors medical information is available for mass casualty event. They are asked to donate blood as well as the physical work needed.

I heard it is real dangerous on the flight deck with all those jets and those steel anchors that hold them in place on the carriers.
