This one - along with "Aliens" and the first two Terminator movies - are hands down the best action/sci-fi horror flicks every filmed. Nothing comes close to these four.

Just saw Prey which I enjoyed but what I missed was this theme. Still one of best and most bad ass movie themes of all time. Totally gets me pumped every time I hear it. Very few film themes stick in your head years after you originally saw it.
I agree with you except the music is very military influenced and that worked with Dutch and his boys. Prey has a different non military vibe so the original Predator music wouldn’t fit. In my opinion. 😁

This was my sick movie, anytime I'm home sick, this movie goes on. As a kid imagined a miniature Predator going through my body, hunting and killing all the germs.
I really, really love old school Hollywood. I'm no longer so pumped going to theaters these days and I have to get dragged into it before I watch anything. More interested in digging up classic gems now.
I've seen the arguments , that it can also be labeled a Horror hack and slash as well , but people state its not, based on the Predator hunting military jocks.. think both sides got good points , Sci Fi action with a lil horror element too this movie .

Disney is the one who just bought the rights. They also own HULU, so Prey was technically a Disney movie. Knowing them, they'll probably make it into a franchise. I just hope they'll give us some good AVP content.

I remember watching this for the first time in 1988. My Dad was a bit loose with parental guidance, I was 7 at the time but what a movie.
