Amen.
Bingo
This!
and all the miserable schmucks who live at home with their parents at the age of 40 and hate life will agree with you
Living inside a flood safety device… what could go wrong
Let me get this right, no campers, no sleeping on the streets, no tents, no loitering, come on people, you have made it illegal to be alive! Listen to yourselves
Liberals and Democrats do that.
It forces the people to rely on the government, only.
Your Right......
So true. "Live like us or else".
I can't help but feel as it the NYMBISM is responsible for a lot of this.
We're not ALL meant to live the same mind numbingly dull life that is American suburbia and yet we're all trying to be forced into this one dimensional box (and made to feel guilty, alien, stupid, immoral if we want something else). You see it as early as kindergarten for the kids. If a child isn't capable of sitting silently for 7 hours straight they are immediately diagnosed with a fake disorder (ADHD, Autism, you name it) and put on drugs (speed).
The drugs start in elementary school. The speed, the anti depressants, all these weird cognitive drugs. Then we wonder why they start injecting needles into their arms and popping pills on the side of the road when they grow up. They were already addicts before, the prescription meds were their gateway drugs.
My brother was a heroin addict (now recovering). His drug addiction started at the age of 9 when teachers forced him on Ritalin. Teachers couldn't deal with him because he couldn't sit still. He was just a different kid and not meant to be stuck at a desk all day. He was clever, loved to explore, and take things apart. But our society believes he should sit at an office desk all day and become a mindless robot.
Watching our society destroy perfectly capable, creative, and intelligent human beings is soul crushing.
These people who created these dwellings have an enormous amount of resourcefulness and creativity that is going completely ignored by this stupid community. They painted art on the walls for Christ's sake....
Listening to them babble on about how we need to "invest in homelessness" whatever the F that means (what an empty, hollow statement).
Some of these people will try to say that we need to invest in mental health and yet no one knows where the "mental health problems' are coming from. It's like they think the mental health issue just spontaneously came out of thin air or they were just "born that way."
No one in the US ever asks "why" and because we don't, we never solve problems. We just want to hide away in our giant isolated castles and pretend like we don't see pain or suffering. We plug our ears as we drive through our mechanical strip mall society and pretend we don't hear the anguish of others.
We exist, but no one really lives.
Once the money is worthless people will learn quick☠️
You're saying that it could collapse at any moment and yet you sent film crews in there? 🤔 That's believable ....

You realize it’s for floods… it’s not even being used until the water rises… how about figuring out what you’re talking about before you make more genius ass emotional comments. Look up what happened in New Orleans when the levee broke since you don’t remember. Levees are for when the water is high and uncontrollable… when the water goes in that it going to break and people will die. But I guess you don’t care about regular people who work and pay bills so their kids can go to school. Those regulars are horrible people for trying to live productive life huh? Such horrible people aren’t they, trying to put their kids through school.
Not any moment dumbass when there’s a flood. That what levees are for, when the water rises.
A bird wants a nest ,a lion wants a lair...a human wants a home.Strength and blessings to all the homeless everywhere
And what about all the future dead people when the levee breaks? Do you care about them? Or only the homeless. They’re more important than others because of your feelings huh? 😂😂😂😢

These homeless made homes unlike humans.
They made caves like Neanderthals.

Yup
They’re likely a combination of both.
I’ve explored natural caves, some of which have been converted into speak easies.
They were a combination of both.
Who give a f man! These people homeless
Congratulation to the volunteers. Now the people living on those caves are truly homeless thanks to you and your good intentions!!!
💥👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Churchgoers
Yes, the volunteers were very helpful indeed. Disclosing a hidden home for the homeless.
Once upon a time a group of "concerned citizens" paved the road to hell with their good intentions. Lord, save us from those who mean well.
They found a solution to their homelessness, and the government took it away.
Solution? Funny guy.
They dug a hole. Left hundreds of pounds of trash. Then moved on to the next place to repeat the process lol.
@BobDingus-bh3pd in Texas we put our trash in the ground. We usually pay lots of money for it. We usually put them very close to the river. The 3 I can think of in Dallas are on the Trinity River. I'm sure they will abandon the landfill and dig a new hole to put more trash in for lots of money.
The issue is that these caves could easily collapse and kill dozens of people.
They claim to be helping them get into real housing. I hope to see evidence of that.
@@elizabethc1319 life is dangerous. Stay safe.
Imagine having little as is-no shelter, no respect or dignity from society, no secure food-and you make yourself something out of nothing. You make what is clearly a home. And you come back one day to see it all “cleaned up” by “concerned volunteers” who have no intention of returning what few belongings you have, no intention of feeding or clothing or sheltering you. You found yourself in an unclimbable hole, made it livable, and they take even that from you. Curse those who see housing, food, and water as privileges instead of human rights.
Eh it's hard to feel bad for them when you read the full news article, they had countless drugs, stolen weapons and goods from home invasions, these weren't innocent homeless kind souls, they were drug fueled criminals lol

I keep stock with a tick-tock rhythm, a bump for the drop
And then I bumped up, I took the hit that I was given
Then I bumped again, then I bumped again

How do I get back there to the place where I fell asleep inside you
How do I get myself back to the place where you said
I want something else to get me through this

I want something else, I'm not listening when you say good-bye
I believe in the sand beneath my toes
The beach gives a feeling, an earthy feeling
I believe in the faith that grows
And that four right chords can make me cry
When I'm with you I feel like I could die
And that would be alright, alright
And when the plane came in, she said she was crashing
The velvet it rips in the city, we tripped on the urge to feel alive
Now I'm struggling to survive
Those days you were wearing that velvet dress
You're the priestess, I must confess
Those little red panties they pass the test
Slides up around the belly, face down on the mattress
One
And you hold me, and we are broken
Still it's all that I wanna do, just a little now
Feel myself, heading off the ground
I'm scared, I'm not coming down
No, no
And I won't run for my life
She's got her jaws now locked down in a smile
But nothing is alright, alright
And I want something else to get me through this life
Baby, I want something else
Not listening when you say
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye, goodbye
Doo doo doo, doo doo-doo doo
Doo doo doo, doo doo-doo doo
Doo doo doo, doo doo-doo doo

The residents along that riverfront are clueless. How could you not notice them?
Sounds like they had a home and were evicted by government.
You leave people with no choice, what else do you expect? Why shouldn't people have a right to protection from the elements?? The lack of compassion is just inhumane.
How many are you housing?
Most choose to be homeless, there is help.
@@Knaztr76 I just left my position overseeing unhoused outreach teams and being the “Gear Guy” who ordered the “Unhoused Supplies” for distribution… The level of “entitlement” is out of control, we have encampments set-up on riverbanks, we have had several “floods” over the last year, each time we sent teams to help move people, most refused even offers of hotel rooms and “Gift Cards”. Then they demanded new gear and played each agency to get more. I found one guy that got 5 tents after the last storm, I tried to document who was getting what and where they were but was “ordered” to stop as my supervisors said it was “stigmatizing” to not give people what they said they needed. The local hotel that historically has been our emergency winter shelter/ DV Shelter/Youth Shelter is now full of “migrants” so all we could do for the citizens is tents and wool blankets…..
People have a choice. Go back to the states you came from!
And here I thought I had to work to shelter myself from the elements.
But I could just dig a hole in this guy’s yard and leave a bunch of garbage in it.
People lived like this for centuries...
And they lived happy fulfilled lives.

These caves are ancient the homeless people didn’t build them!.. don’t fill them back in, but put gates up what you’re looking at is identical to the, the ancient caves found in Europe and other parts of the world! Do your research media! Check out the caves in Malta, Europe and the UK… check it out
Why put gates up
Put gates up? So throw the homeless out of one of the few forms of shelter that doesn't involve them being on the side of the highway and then corral it off for what?
@@JesusSavedMe-Alizabeth4truth you got a sick and twisted mind and got the nerve to have “JesusSavedMe” as your screen name 🤨

Gates? You’re as bad as the volunteers. For fox sake go live on the streets a hot minute and see how you take care of yourself
The question would be.... is a cave better than a tent on the sidewalk downtown.....

The downtown tent gets you harassed and arrested for trying to have your own room. If you need somewhere safe to sleep the cave is way better.

It’s in the levee designed to hold back the river when the water rises… you think they let homeless destroy flood safety devices in other countries? It’s not a regular hole in the ground.
This seems a bit too elaborate for even the most industrious tweekers.
Extremely petty ASF 😢
What the concern is. Is that you all need to mind ya buisness and let people live.
Yeah I totally agree with you on that it's sickening how people treat the homeless it's easier for ignorant ass heartless people to run their mouths about the homeless because they have a roof over there damn heads and a way to cook food but what I've learned in life is people that tend to judge the homeless comes back and bites them in the ass I'm living in the woods inside a damn tent because the rent is too damn high these days and can't afford it people don't understand because they've never been in our shoes before especially how bad the cost of living is these days it's outrageous
A levee is designed to hold back flood water. When it floods you think the safety wall is going to work with a big ass hole in it? You obviously don’t care about the other people who will die or be injured by them destroying the safety device. Why should anyone care about the dumbass people endangering the community?

Why is she saying “they’re at the point that thy are desperate…”, this has been going on forever, THEY have been desperate for many years. They are not helped. They are all simply pushed to another location out of public’s eye. A different solution needs to be found. It’s horrible. These people ARE YOUR community too.
People have been living like this for thousands of years.. only now since they arent paying property tax, its an issue.
If they’re not bothering anyone and you didn’t even know they were there why not just leave them alone.
Because they left 7600 pounds of trash for others to pick up
Yes, desperate. And industrious. We need to find solutions, working together. Give them land, hillier the better, to build earthen homes. Give them support & services, help them succeed. Everyone wins
The first cave they showed was actually pretty nice. I'd have no problem living in something like that if I had no choice.
To ask why this is acceptale ?
Man rhat opens up so many other questions.
Like what
Wow!! Homeless people with some serious building skills. How did the concrete trucks go unnoticed?
People live in houses like this all over the world, some are simply spectacular! There are underground places in Turkey that have many levels, and the people even could keep animals and food storage in them. These probably are not too safe only because of the water, and flooding or drowning, but they are amazing. Housing is going to look like it always has before the 'modern' times because the system does not work for many.
Rediculous to think homeless dug that out. If they were that motivated, they would just go get jobs and would not have trashed the place after such a huge undertaking. Nope, they found this cave system and moved in as 'inherotors' just like most of the worlds stone structures were. I would call an archaeologist immediately to get in there and assess the age and who built them before the brain dead local government fills them in with concrete.
I’m impressed 😅
That fireplace was 🔥💯
It’s all fun and games until the levee collapses.
What’s a levee?! I’m too emotional to realize I’m a dumb idiot🧐… just let them live there cuz like my emotions and stuff.
Yeah, they are desperate!!! What little shelter they can find keeps being destroyed and taken from them!!!!! There aren't any real services for those who are struggling and the surrounding " communities " say " not in my backyard" even when a legitimate homeless shelter community is set up. Smh
What are you talking about crazy?! Free cash aid, free groceries, free job training, placement, re placement, vouchers for motel rooms, mental health services and more. There are so many jobs paying 25+ an hours right now that can’t be filled it’s not even funny how hard they must be trying to be unemployed. I’ve been homeless and talk to homeless people all the time… over 90% of the constant homeless don’t want help, think you’re dumb for working a regular type job, or are on hard drugs and will not sober up.
If it wasn’t for the mounds of trash, I personally see no problem with this. The govt is just upset that they can’t tax these caves 😂
Because you personally don’t care if innocent people die when the levee fails because there’s a big ass hole in it now. You realize it’s meant to hold back flood water when the water rises. You think it works when there’s big ass hole in it? It’s ok if those houses next to this get destroyed and the kids washed down the river then I guess?
Right?
If they would have picked up after themselves and left no trace, they would still have a home in those ancient, old world caves.
Remember folks, you are free.
people used to live in caves, right? like, they were called cavemen
add lumber to support the ceilings, but otherwise pretty good for what it is
People live in caves around the world, today
Hate these type of ppl. Let the homeless live there and leave them alone
Y’all believe these people dug these caves?
These group of 'volunteers' are sick. So they don't want homeless people in their parks or on their city streets, so they go away and build their own structure and you are still following them and harassing them?
💥👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
People living today didn’t build those caves. They are ancient
The fact that cavemen had more rights than us boggles my mind
What’s the problem here? I didn’t know it was illegal to live in a cave?
Is it illegal to sleep in a cave?
Why not let them live there ffs if they get washed down he river I think that's their own risk
all I would need is sleeping bag and some camping gear I sleep out side more than I do inside bicycle touring
