I realize this is a super old video but the Scorpion prop is the way to go. You should easily hit 70+ with the change. Suzuki desperately need to bring in scorpion to do some consulting with their own prop engineers.
@@jcbassfishingchannel not sure what pitch he is referring to. I have heard a lot of people suggest 27 and 28 pitch on the Scorpion. I believe that is a 4 blade.
Sorry for such a late reply. It is a 26 pitch 4 blade Razor built by Mark Croxton. You can search for him on Google. He built mine after asking me what size and brand my boat is. He built it for a very reasonable price.
No. I am gonna wait till this next spring to try a different prop. I am not really a speed demon and this boat handles really well with the motor/prop/jack-plate set up I have now. Not sure if I really want to mess with it.
@@tritonbass1545 honestly them 2 stroke mercs were junk my grandpa Joe Afcan had 1 ill say the optimax 2 strokes were junk idk about the 4 strokes also my uncle John Canoe didnt have his 1 whole summer season
There really isn't a "stock" prop. All boat/engine combos are different. That video was right after break-in. I am still running the same prop and have hit 74 since the motor has loosened up a little bit. I haven't really monitored the fuel consumption but I know it is burning a lot less than my Merc Optimax was burning. I may end up trying out a Suzuki 28P 4 blade one of these days, but right now I am happy with the way she runs.
@@eliteangler I saw a vid on @Team Marine Service and he was telling the Scorpion was the prop to go with on the Suzuki 250SS. He did try a lot of different props as I understood. With the Scorpion you got a lot of bowlift what should let it run very sweet! Edit: Found the vid: ua-cam.com/video/M8a9eY_BVlY/v-deo.html
It is a prop built by Mark Croxton. It is a 26 pitch 4 blade Razor. He said it would actually run closer to a 27 pitch. You can google his name. He is awesome at props. He does blue printing, repair and custom builds.

What sort of fuel consumption are you getting.
Did you ever run it with the stock/recommend prop? If so what were the speeds on it then@

Lake Konawa. It's in Oklahoma.
Doesn't seem to run to bad. What was your Top speed ?
This video was taken right after break-in. I was running 67 to 69 mph. I have had her to 74 a couple times with light fuel load.
