that's great work, I am currently trying to hunt down the last few pieces to complete my lizard figure.
Very nice and simple modification. Nice thing is you can switch it back to stock later if you want which I like, or have two sets of legs to swap out. Very cool.
Why not just boil water to make the joints gummy and loose and flip the knees? Much easier and absolutely no force needed. No use in worrying then. I boil water in a coffee pot and then drop the figures and or pieces down in it. Loosens tight joints up as well as loosens pegs up to come out easily. Boil and pop method.
Boiling is such an easy way of doing this.
somarriba333 way easier thank prying figures apart with a screw driver
Hair dryer is simpler and faster...30-60 seconds on high and pop. Same to reattach. Boiling water also tends to damage the plastic, making it more brittle because of chemical reactions between the heated water and plastic, which contains petroleum components, whereas a hairdryer doesn't cause any reactions, and in fact, will also "heal" stress marks in certain situations.
WHOA, THAT MAKES THE FIGURE LOOK SO MUCH MORE COOLER :D
We can't even get that set here and you have TWO....GRRRRRRRR!!!
Nate Wilson I feel ya, I ordered prowler n lasher online at retail. N only seen one gwen at my comic shop n one spider woman at GameStop. I wonder if this wave is even gonna hit big, seems like it's lost because of thanos n sasquatch
Joe Armstrong, The Uncloned Comic Collector I got lucky and found the entire Deadpool wave at a Walgreens. There was no way in he'll I was paying scalper prices of $80+ on EBay.
Nate Wilson seems like walgreebz n GameStop are stepping their game up, which is needed in my area
No more Normal I have GwenPool
No more Normal lucky
Nice work boss. Makes it feel more like a baf figure.
Sweet !! That guy was smoking something special what a genius !!
This is a great idea. Thanks for sharing this.
Nope. Take leg apart and dremel out the inside of the thigh and shin so that the knee cap goes into it when straightened. Makes it fully functional like it should be. Works great and cannot be seen.
Seems like that would be the best way to improve the articulation.
having a hard time picturing where exactly to change the "inside of the thigh and shin" with my dremel. Are there any photos of this?
GenuineArticle71 if you take the leg apart, you can clearly see where hasbro screwed up. I will post pics to my customs page. Find havoc customz on facebook. Gimme a few days to take the pics, I'm not home right now, but i will toss some pics up.
Looking forward to seeing your work
Nice, thanks
So a thigh swap? An 11 minute video to just say thigh swap. Sure it stands taller but at the cost of articulation. I was hoping for a mod that improves articulation. This just makes the thighs look weird.
2 minutes in, you need a screw driver or an L wrench. 6 Minutes In, you will need a screw driver or an L wrench. 9 minutes in You will need a screw driver or L Wrench. SO much of this video is nonsensical filler just to say get to the point.
I knew there was a way to fix him! He looks better.
Must be nice having the lizard. Except I can't get a hold of MYSTERIO!!
Awesome
Good idea. You didn't show the movement of the modified one though, just to see wha it's like
If you watch the video I say that the knees do not bend after you make this modification.
Looks better the way it was.
Nice
Glad someone was braver than me lol...now I'm up to bat
Great video Todd, i might make this mod!
Thanks for watching Spencer!
Where are the vids at?
We miss you
I do want to do thesomething and i don't even know people have been doing this but Good job.......
Good work.
Great idea
Genius!!! Ima so this to my figure when i get it😐 but awesome video, Subscribe!
Besides the fact that the sculpt of the muscle anatomy would be wrong. It still a cool mod because you dont notice unless you stare and the lad coat hides it.
Awesome!!
i wish the figure stood tall like that, always liked the tall lizard not squatted
Dope
Is there still no articulation after the mod? Would've been nice to see brief overview of leg articulation after the fact. Great idea though!
im gona do that thanks
Good stuff sir.
looks great. I always though Hasbro first klaw had thighs on upside down like that too
Thx! But you didn't show the articulation after the mod?
Rob yea would have been nice to see how the joints articulate with the "mod"
If you watch the video I say that the knees do not bend after you make this modification.
Thx again, sorry missed that in the review.
Always very helpful and always appreciated but holy crap you gotta jus spit it out. I wasnt expecting my mood to turn over to anger before i even started to mod my baf
Where exactly did they cut the coat to fix the back?
I want that right lizard toy
Cool! But does doing this kill all the knee articulation? Cause it looks like they don’t even bend at all after.
Correct. This is strictly for making the figure stand straight. The knees will not bend once you make this modification.
Have there been any dremel mods yet? I’ve been thinking about it but don’t want to ruin the figure or try anything until I get more legs
Not an improvement, now he just has mangled leg musculature. The problem is the range of motion in the joint and it needs a surgical increase through cutting away material.
so you just switch his legs and put them on backwards
Can you still move the legs on the modified version?
*looks at title*
*looks at thumbnail*
"did he just stand him up staright..."
Is it bend now or what?
This is why hasbro sucks. We shouldn’t have to make these modifications to our figures.
The figure is already fine as is. Mod not needed.
First
Honestly, I don't understand what Hasbro was thinking, they don't really care it seems like. They make you spend at least 20 dollars for a figure that half good half bad barely any paint and then a crappy baf.
Lol scalpers must be on the loose cause I havent seen this wave, sasquatch wave, apocalypse wave, shit any wave besides black panther.
