    that's great work, I am currently trying to hunt down the last few pieces to complete my lizard figure.

    Very nice and simple modification. Nice thing is you can switch it back to stock later if you want which I like, or have two sets of legs to swap out. Very cool.

    Why not just boil water to make the joints gummy and loose and flip the knees? Much easier and absolutely no force needed. No use in worrying then. I boil water in a coffee pot and then drop the figures and or pieces down in it. Loosens tight joints up as well as loosens pegs up to come out easily. Boil and pop method.

      Boiling is such an easy way of doing this.

      somarriba333 way easier thank prying figures apart with a screw driver

      Hair dryer is simpler and faster...30-60 seconds on high and pop. Same to reattach. Boiling water also tends to damage the plastic, making it more brittle because of chemical reactions between the heated water and plastic, which contains petroleum components, whereas a hairdryer doesn't cause any reactions, and in fact, will also "heal" stress marks in certain situations.

    Nope. Take leg apart and dremel out the inside of the thigh and shin so that the knee cap goes into it when straightened. Makes it fully functional like it should be. Works great and cannot be seen.

    • @somarriba333
      @somarriba333 6 років тому

      Seems like that would be the best way to improve the articulation.

      having a hard time picturing where exactly to change the "inside of the thigh and shin" with my dremel. Are there any photos of this?

    • @randallpohl5408
      @randallpohl5408 6 років тому +3

      GenuineArticle71 if you take the leg apart, you can clearly see where hasbro screwed up. I will post pics to my customs page. Find havoc customz on facebook. Gimme a few days to take the pics, I'm not home right now, but i will toss some pics up.

    So a thigh swap? An 11 minute video to just say thigh swap. Sure it stands taller but at the cost of articulation. I was hoping for a mod that improves articulation. This just makes the thighs look weird.

    • @KingofDragons

      2 minutes in, you need a screw driver or an L wrench. 6 Minutes In, you will need a screw driver or an L wrench. 9 minutes in You will need a screw driver or L Wrench. SO much of this video is nonsensical filler just to say get to the point.

    Besides the fact that the sculpt of the muscle anatomy would be wrong. It still a cool mod because you dont notice unless you stare and the lad coat hides it.

  • @pauloxford468
    @pauloxford468 6 років тому

    Cool! But does doing this kill all the knee articulation? Cause it looks like they don’t even bend at all after.

    • @rektangular
      @rektangular  6 років тому

      Correct. This is strictly for making the figure stand straight. The knees will not bend once you make this modification.

  • @sweggyspoder
    @sweggyspoder 6 років тому +1

    Have there been any dremel mods yet? I’ve been thinking about it but don’t want to ruin the figure or try anything until I get more legs

  • @kailryu
    @kailryu 2 місяці тому

    Not an improvement, now he just has mangled leg musculature. The problem is the range of motion in the joint and it needs a surgical increase through cutting away material.

  • @dobi287
    @dobi287 6 років тому

    so you just switch his legs and put them on backwards

  • @MandoPrime1138

    Honestly, I don't understand what Hasbro was thinking, they don't really care it seems like. They make you spend at least 20 dollars for a figure that half good half bad barely any paint and then a crappy baf.
