The tail reminds me of the wifi antennae that are on the back of some internet routers.

Whoever sculpted this needs to do more and whoever engineered it needs to be fired
We have the same experience Anthony. I was very excited to build this figure but when I saw the tail “My Goodness Gracious” because of the articulation, the tail looks broken and I have this weird feeing that if this figure is alive then he is really in pain. So frustrating. I couldn’t even get him to stand along with my other figures because front and back, it will fall and a domino effect on my display will happen. Gosh.... who ever designed this figure from Hasbro should be issued a NOTICE TO EXPLAIN by the Company and get fired. My money on this wave just burned into smithereens. 😡😡😡

The funny thing is the ankle rocker is anatomically accurate, since that kink in the leg is actually the heel. Birds and reptiles with this kind of stance actually stand on their tip-toes all the time for better locomotion, but in this case it’s just a big engineering failure.
At least the poop smeared on his jacket makes sense for this figure.... Since he spends so much time in the sewers. Callback to play arts Kai Batman review.
The tail should have been bendy wire .
I love the honesty. Truly helpful. It proves you are not "bought" by Hasbro to give "flower-reviews". That tail was a disaster. I will stay away from the Lizard BAF. Thanks! :-)
A bendy wire tail would be great. Or just a static tail (like Rocket Raccoon's) would have been better than a tail that bends at straight right angles. Even if there is a real live Lizard I don't think he can do such straight angles
I was going to buy the rest of the wave because I have Lasher and Prowler. Now that I've watched this, I've changed my mind, and my wallet and I thank you.
Do you think the knees can be fixed? I was planning to cut a part of the knees so it can stand taller.

I feel Anthony’s frustration when he got to the tail and l feel the same way, at least make the tail like the black heart figure cause id rather have a good looking less functional tail than a articulated one that looks ugly.

Great review Anthony!!! You are 100% correct this was such a wasted opportunity. I saw an early review on this and knew what was coming. Which is why I only cherry picked the wave. Also I've heard the complaint that the head is to stylized and very Raptor like. That don't bother me but I can see where some wouldn't like it. Let's just hope they fix it down the road...
I've seen a lot of people getting floppy legs on this figure, which means I must have lucked out as both of my legs have super tight articulation! I can get my figure to stand straight up and it looks totally natural. I rather enjoy this figure, but will definitely agree about the tail, it should have been a static piece and I would have been okay with that.
I don't understand why when they make tails they don't make them really soft vinyl but one solid piece...kind of like the 80s whiplash but better.

The permanently bent legs are so stupid. I damn near broke the leg that came with mysterio trying to straighten it before realizing you can't...
That tail got me shook
It is crap. Not that anyone should have to do this since you spent over $140 to build it, but there is a fix for the leg articulation and the floppy jaw. Anthony, I'm sure you have a dremel, if you pop apart the legs at the pins, you can actually clear enough room inside the leg for the knee to go in to give him better motion. Shouldn't have to, but i started this on mine and it works. Have more to do but my initial try has given quite a big difference. And you cannot see the alteration when pieced back together. As far as the tail.......we got f-ed......
That's too bad. Definitely looks like a hot mess from the waist down. He should be able to stand up straight if one so chooses. The whole point of super-poseable action figures is to give the user multiple posing options. So to make the figure permanently hunched over and his knees permanently bent defeats the entire purpose of a highly articulated figure. It might as well practically be a statute from the waist down. Also, I hate loose joints on figures, especially in the legs.

It feels like someone made an amazing statue, then someone else came in & made strange joint decisions. What's even weirder is no one thought the tail looked really bad maybe make it a solid sculpt or bendy wire tall, they just did some bendy wire with Mr Fantastic so they haven't lost the ability to make something like that.
Rogue Trooper I know, they're from a former figure. Though those arms had to be mass produced again for the figure. So production was still at least capable to do it.

I actually like the figure. But I do agree that the loose hips and feet are extremely annoying. The tail I kind of understand but at the same time I kind of don't. I think they wanted to articulate it because bendy wire wouldn't necessarily be reliable for this figure especially over time. And I don't think they would've had the budget for as cheap as they have it most of the time to make the tail segmented with ball joints. But that's just a guess. I can definitely understand why you're disappointed with this figure.
You can customize the crappy parts and youll have an amazing figure but we need a good lizard we can buy and not have to customize

I can't believe you're the 1st reviewer I've seen that's mentioned how horrible that tail is.
I love it but that tale and the mouth issue is a little bit annoying, but I would build him anyways (Spiderman's villians are the bests, if we talk about Marvel)
I passed on this BAF, don't get me wrong I think The Lizard is cool but I don't care for that dinosaur Raptor face, drooping jaw, and I really wish that tongue was removable. However, the details in sculpt are pretty amazing, and I do like the color pallet they used. Hoping hasbro continues this quality moving forward.
He looks soooo cool, maybe they intended for the tail to act as a stabilizer/ stand

Such a shame that some of the most anticipated figures are not good, Hasbro could have easily made the tail a bendy wire or something, and could have made the legs 100 times better by giving you the ability to pose them. Of course since this is Hasbro it brings us down to, "they could have."
They need to fire that articulation guy, such a good looking figure ruined.

yes. it does. he's been drawn many different ways. this is clearly a mix of the more realistic looking ones and some of the ultimates design.
A.y. Wee Ching Well I definitely prefer it over those ugly humanoid heads like the one from the Amazing-Spiderman movie. Ugh I hated that design.

Your review is not objective, clearly you do not like the figure, but there are other ways to manifest what you do not like instead of repeating "it's a piece of trash" all the time.
If only I had a review which clearly explained all of the problems of the figure which make it objectively bad...
