Once you reach the Ocean saga, I would recommend reacting to two different animatics for the same song. AnniFlamma and Gigi have both made incredible animatics for the song "Ruthlessness" that emphasize the song differently, and I think you'd appreciate the pacing in both.
Oooh yes. Ruthless is one of the only songs there is serious disagreement among epic fans. No matter which one you watch there will be people who will be upset. Both animatics are really incredible and unique, reacting to both would be great

It's so funny that so many people making reactions to this prasing Odysseus voice and saying that Polyphemus is a monster but non ever acknowledge how fucking villainous Odysseus looks in this animatic. He's basically a villain in this saga tho
Odysseus: "I am a monster rawr rawr rawr!"
Well, to be fair, in the original saga, he is presented as a hero during these parts. There is never a question wether ulysses is a monster or not. The decision to make him seem more cruel, more inhumane, is enturely up to the animator

That "Nobody" part is very famous and a lot of people that might not really know anything about the Odyssee recognise. It shows how smart and witty Odysseus is and using it here to make sure his identity stays a secret... well, kinda.

Polites is such a great guy, he's likely the type of person who lists down everyone's birthdays and will always make birthday pancakes for them

That’s actually kinda funny, cuz another reactor, mortius, said that his head-cannon is that because Polites kept track of the dates and he knew when everyone’s birthdays were, polites dies no one kept track of time, which is the reason in Circe’s palace Odysseus says “12 long years” instead of the actual time(10 years)

I like to think polyphemus was actually planning on letting them go but then Odysseus did the eye to eye pun and then he changed his mind like well now you all have to die lol
Not to mention as a shepherd his duty is to deal with any threat lurking around his flock. So he couldn't have let them go because they were a continuous hazard. He couldn't afford to lose more sheep.
The cyclops is actually voiced by Jay with his voice being lowered an octave with distortion
The fact that Odysseus and his men find a cave full of food and sheep and don't think "Oh, someone obviously owns all this"... the fact that even our sunshine "Greet the world with open arms" boy doesn't say "Hey, let's ask the owner of all this food if he'd like to share," and instead goes straight to "I can't believe there's ALL OF THIS FOR US TO KEEP," shows how the Greek nobles generally thought little of poor people. If you were so poor that you lived in a cave (which was common of the peasantry) then you existed to cater to the wealthy, strong, and rich. Not mentioned in this musical (for obvious reasons) is the fact that the very first thing Odysseus and his men do after leaving Troy is go pirating and pillaging around Greece and Italy for, like, A WHOLE YEAR slaughtering villages and assaulting women... because they can, and they wanted to have some fun after 10 years of laying siege to a city! So stealing from someone so poor that they keep their food and sheep in a cave? Perfectly justified in their eyes. (Again, canonically to mythology.)
If someone came into my house, killed my dog to eat it, and raided my kitchen... and if that "someone" was also a natural food source... I left a comment on Mortius and Casper's video about how something like this happened to my cousin, a wild pig got onto his property, destroyed his vegetable garden, and killed his dog. He grabbed the rifle and had pork chops and bacon for the next week.

If you go back to Open Arms, when the lotus eaters tell about the cave, there is one who says "scary cave", so yes, they knew.
I'd recommend GiGi's animatics for the ocean saga when you get to it
i like better the aniflamma one for ruthlessness, its way scarier

You will love the parallels between the first and second half of the Survive song i always found it really clever and cool
Interestingly there are like 5 real world locations that people argue is the cave in the Iliad, the Island of Crete and a cave near Sicily are possibilities. Oh and since you've reached Ruthlessness: Oh no Ody! Your distant cousin is angry! Why is everyone related in Greek myth? Also this version of Poly is terrifying. Yes the Lotus Eaters knew... it's easy to miss but when they say "a cave!" one of them adds quietly "a scary cave...". If Ody is talking to someone that isn't his friend always assume there is a ploy or scheme in play... not to say he isn't trustworthy but that's his whole thing: A mind rivaled (surpassed) only by Athena.
Oh, the Cyclops saga might very well be my favorite. "Polyphemus" & "Survive" are certainly my favorite song pairing (as in, songs where 1 song leads into the other)
I feel like these are the two songs (in the Cyclops saga) in which Jorge shows off his voice/allows himself to "play"
And, as you say, we can HEAR exactly what's happening/what emotions are being felt

I don’t think Polyphemus was happy with the wine he was more offended that Odysseus made the life of Polyphemus’ pet sheep as valuable as wine
Also I think Polyphemus is the child of the cyclops’s although he does not have parents who are cyclops he is just a bit younger than other cyclops based on how much more emotional he is compared to other cyclops in mythology so it explains why he has a juvenile mentality
