The fact that this gun, the M1911 made by John Browning century earlier, still stood the test of time. Is just the testament on how good it was, and can't be replaced fully.
That's why it was chosen to be the pistol of the franchise, The 1911 saw use through the trenches of World War I to the beaches of Normandy during World War II and into the Korean and Vietnam Wars still in use
The M1911 will always be the most important weapon in COD history!

It’s awesome how it went from killing THE ultranationalist leader to being pointed at Price’s head and then once again returning to Soap
Not even just most important to COD, but also pretty much in real life. The 1911 won 2 World Wars and continued to be used commonly for long after.

I never really knew the M1911 was so important to the story of the Original MW Trilogy, but to me, the M1911 is iconic for me because of it being the starting weapon in Zombies.
We had the Colt M1911 in WaW, the M1911 on all BO1 & BO2 maps(besides Origins), the BO3 version of the M1911 on all the Zombies Chronicles maps(except for Origins, again), and finally it can be used in Cold War(it's not as iconic in Cold War, but the weapon still persist even if it isn't nearly as good).

The .45. The weapon that helped our great grandfathers and grandfathers in vietnam, ww2, and the first world war win the war. This weapon has so much history behind it. And also I love using the 45 in zombies and turning it to mustang and sally. The incredible stopping power it has irl just blows me away. The 45 deserves respect not just in cod, but every other shooter in general. Thanks fam for the video.

M1911 is also the starting pistol in zombies
M1911 appears in the most Call of Duty games overall
I just thought of how crazy it is that the ENTIRE og modern warfare trilogy released on the same (mainline) console on their launch days, those being the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3
My first COD and also the FPS shooter game was COD 4. I also played remastered version of it. We all missed the old dev teams and passion to make a good game. Thanks for reminding the nostalgia tdawg!

i love call of duty so much. every game from 2007-2012 was so good, MW3 2011 is a personal favorite of mine. i loved playing alongside price, soap, and team metal as yuri and frost. not to mention that you play as some other characters like harkov and burns. also, the M1911 is my favorite gun OAT in games and IRL

That’s another true fact about Cod and gotta say my Favorite weapon has to be Mason Python from Black ops one which also could’ve been another key story weapon if the game had kept its roots and balance in the Black ops series

M1911A1 was important because it was the best sidearm pistol .45 ACP it was made from the United States it was Designed 1911 (M1911) 1926 (M1911-A1) and that's why is the best gun in modern warfare series and that's why price slide the M1911 to soap and took out two Russian soldiers and one Russian leader it makes perfect sense tell me the story war story the details what war is all about it's all about important history
