The scene of him sitting on the floor trying the chocolate got to be one of the coolest scenes on the show! He's very confident in his skills and abilities not in a cocky way. I like how he's focused and determined minding his own business. He's so cool and I'm rooting for him!
It’s even cooler that he was eating the chocolate to see if they were frozen enough to grind, not because he was low on sugar😂
Facts!
it felt like something out of the Food Wars manga!
The facts are, he said he has low blood sugar.
I feel the same way…. I don’t think he’s arrogant or cocky at all and I feel like he’s very confident
Dude was playing chess while everyone else was busy playing checkers. The logic behind him giving the judges dessert was absolutely flawless IMO, using his dish both as a palate cleanser for the judges, heightening the impact made on them, and as a presentation of his skills as a chef was masterfully thought out and executed.
I LOVE the storyboards of korean programs! The frame of the judges eating happily the Tiramisu opposed to those with the desperation of the other's contestants looks like an anime, I love it!
This show was extremely authentic from my pov cus English speaking cooking show usually have judges not praising good dishes enough and building suspense till the end, also the contestants straight up shit talk to good dishes of rivals a lot 😢
What does it mean to look like an anime?
He is the definition of a chef that walks the talk. He is not arrogant but he really just shows that he is confident on his cooking that his dish speaks for itself that he is a good chef.
he's a bit of a douche - he'll be forgotten
He is a real deal. At the beginning of the show, I thought he is a bit too arrogant but throughout this cooking competition he has proved that his confidence actually comes from his cooking skills and strategic mind. I wouldn't be surprised if he wins it all.
Yup same.I find him arrogant at first.Yet,As the competition goes fiercer he continued and has proven himself that he can "walk his talk".
My thoughts exactly!
I knew He gonna make it, when he says 'I can be the team leader bcos Andre Lee can't speak korean fluently' his strategy is amazed me especially for serving dessert after other contestant makes heavy savory food😂
I m his fan
I was rooting for him to fail in the beginning but he’s definitely my favorite to win the finals now
Loved the line "Convenience Stores have good ingredients" joke because it speaks to everything about the chef's skills to extract those ingredients and make them what he needs
The judges can't stop enjoying the dessert, you can see it on their faces, that alone told the contestants, this guy got them
not before insulting everyone first by saying they cook better with convenience store ingredient.
I admire these people. People who seem a bit arrogant but prove themselves that confidence is coming from skills
you must be a female if you think telling the truth is arrogant.
I appreciate the smarts he used for the dish. The roasted chestnuts, chocolate bar, cream cheese, digestive biscuits, toffee nut latte, the granola from yogurt cups, and using the cream from the cream bread. Every ingredient are already prepared flavors that he didn't have to labor for hours to make or do fancy shit. Especially the cream.
Im not a chef but going into a convenience store everyday before and after work is a part of my daily routine to relieve stress (also supermarket almost once a week). I love sightseeing in every alley in 🤣
I always try something new, I always try to combine different types of foods and drinks, sometimes it doesn't taste good, sometimes it's freaking amazing.
When you go into a convenience store religiously like that, it's just very natural for you to have tons of imagination and ideas about what you're gonna make.
So imagine when a real chef does this every single day. That's why he's so confident with his skills.
When I was in college, I worked in a restaurant and during downtimes the chef de cuisine would lug a few of us along to pick up stuff from convenience stores and local supermarkets, especially asian markets, to play with combinations.
Such a genius idea to make dessert from convenience store items and sit there popping chocolate in his mouth guarding his dessert!!
I find the fact that he’s guarding his dessert very entertaining hahaha
I'm so obsessed with this program! I can't wait for the last two episodes to come out. I've never felt so many emotions watching people cook
was he just casually sitting at a corner and chomping down on chocolates HHAHAHA
he actually mentioned about this in his ig story and said that he was just unfreezing the chocolate since it was stored in refrigerator in the first place 😂
@@d.lightful oh ok HAHA thanks for the explanation! 🤣
@@meboomzxcI'm sure it was just an excuse anyway 😂 but you're welcome!
@@d.lightful it was to check the texture because he wanted it frozen enough to shave
Also sitting in front of the freezer prevent anyone from opening the door and ruining the placement
Ever since his team doubted his risotto-making abilities, I've been rooting for him to win. The tiramisu was a terrifically flashy way to make it out from the lost contestants and he deserved not just the spot but the wide margin of praise from the judges. I'm so glad he got the first seat to the finals.
Yo this is a spoiler 😂
At first I thought he was just this kind of arrogant guy talking big. Then he went consistently making strategical decisions that worked in his favor aside from showcasing his skills. Even someone on the level of chef Edward ackowledged that he leaned on him a lot during the restaurant mission. Guy came in knowing well that he's worth it.

That was really cool answer 👍
Actually, the proper translation is more like:
“I had some fun cooking this”
But you get the idea.

he got chef ahn smiling widely, he alr win by that😂
Napoli Matfia is brilliant. Geniuses like him tend to isolate themselves, be observant, and remain focused. Those who wish to succeed in a very competitive business should take note of his confidence and determination.
I say Edward Lee's creativity may be far superior to Mafia's creativity. Mafia is a genius strategist but Edward Lee is a genius thinker who's thought can completely change someone's life and the entire world due to his innovative ideas.
@@junkim5853I would love them to battle against the tofu hell to showcase both of their creativity.
He's highly confident but deep inside he's a softie and might be trying to cover it by hyping himself up, I did not expect his emotional side on the later episodes, made me tear up lol.
he said on insta that he adopted three street cats as well lmao
He’s my favourite since he cooked large amount of risotto! He’s calm and so good at his job.
really want to try the risotto, why some judges didn't finish them
He's not just a good cook. He's very smart and knows about both European and Asian culture even with desserts not just dinner food. He communicates well, thinks outside the box, and handles pressure well. Thats very rare for one person to have all
He has been my one pick since episode 1. I love it every time he twitches his eyebrow.
same here rooting him since ep.1 :D
I need this scene to be shared and see others perspective on this, and here it is,, this is the epic scene so far! I'm rooting for him, Napoli Matfia, and Maniac Chef. Their agility is so blowing up my mind 🎉
Yes! I wondered if that was his plan sometimes .. to show his skills in a way that didn’t intimidate until that perfect moment. This was awesome to see him create!

I think after this episode, the convenient stores in Korea are going to be almost as busy as the restaurants owned by the contestants.
The number of convenience stores in Korea is higher than that of McDonald's stores in the world. That won't happen.
@@tauros6910 trends happens even if it's for a short while....and convenience store food hacks is just a popular past time in korea.
Why would they?
Korean cream buns are a whole nother level. i tried them before. The cream is super fluffy, sweet and almost fresh.
Ahh the judges reaction was so wholesome ❤
The tiramisu was the smartest idea in that mission! It looks so good too 😭 Napoli matfia is just THAT guy i hope he wins
He did 🎉
I loveeeee strategic contestants in survival shows, and watching tiramisu chef is really so satisfying ❤
Bro…I never wanted to eat something on screen this badly before. I really liked when he said the convenience store is his playground lol, really related to that.
When he first presented his dish at the very beginning of the show, I had a feeling he would win and when he decided to make dessert for this conbini round, just sealed the deal for his observations and skills
Seeing him chill and eat chocolate all I could think of was laugh and go awww too cute
0:29 guys.. this one is really delicious fr😂😂
A special ep of Matfia making this for other chefs... It looks so delish from all the entrees they've been showing 🤤
her face at 3:47 is too gold HAHHAHA
I love his ideas, and i love triple start too , rooting for both of them ❤️✊🏼
You can see judge Ahn trying to suppress enjoyment his but couldn't hold back his smile xD
I rooted for him since the 1st cooking challenge, he got in with deferring ticket and like underdog, nobody know him. Like, literally no one has a story or heard about him. And today, people are talking non-stop about him, such a humble guy caring for his own business and cats. He deserved to be crowned as a winner.
he was really good in this episode. mind blown!
I was really impressed ! He smart
He's just so cool 😎 rooting for him
Ung ang daming beses na nyang muntik na ma eliminate pero in the end nanalo pa din. Bruh para sa kanya talaga yun. At deserve na deserve naman! Congratulations Nafoli Mafia! 🙉👏🏼
This was the moment I realized he was a legend. It felt like watching Food Wars, with shades of Yukihira Soma’s unrelenting drive-minus the over-the-top eroticism. A raw determination to win paired with an unmistakable flair for the unique. He embodied the spirit of a true protagonist.
calm down, this is all scripted
@afrasafitri9849 lmao, going to treat it like an anine then
That man not self made chef...He an educated chef...He have experience work at 2 star and 3 star Michelin restaurant in italy...he confident with his craft.
wow i think he will be one of the finalist
He is, in the next episode he won the first round challenge which made him the first finalist
Love this scene. Makes him look so capable and handsome 😂🩵
He should’ve sold this during the resto mission. Not sure if it was allowed but no group made desserts. This would have skyrocketed the sales. 🤑
I was thinking the same thing. I was confused why no one thought of making dessert.
I’m guessing they didn’t choose desserts bc of the profit margin & not knowing their customers. But it would’ve been cool to see if even one dessert will make a difference in the result score.
@@masterkabaomaybe they were told not to make deserts, considering the customers would buy the food multiple times, maybe the showrunners knew deserts wouldn’t sell well since no one’s going to order a dessert that many times
I thought serving the 100 people mission that meat or seafood had to be main component which doesn't make sense for desserts. And even the celebrities ordering, korean people don't eat much sweets and desserts are cheaper than entrees
Him and triple star are my favorite fighting🎉
You know that Chef Paik and Anh not only loved the tiramisu, but even were addicted to it, was their eyes immediately lit up and just couldn't stop eating .
Everyone is making noodle and canned food or sandwich from convenient store. And this guy make dessert out of nowhere.
Dont talk about the taste, the idea itself is already surprised everyone because no one could ever though a dessert is make out of convenient store
Napoli Matfia is just simply goated
I mean he did really impressed those legend Italian Footballers with such cooking skills ❤❤❤
love the judges reactions.
theyre both like "it shouldn't be this good!" xD
paik dan anh sngat mnikmati tiramisu matfia ..dia sngat gigih .chef sendok hitam sngat bagus juga sendok putih mreka sngat brpengalaman ..i love it ❤suka acaranya ❤
The Michelin Chef was ready to talk shit 😂but he just can’t help the smile taking over.. it’s a win for the underdogs
Making a tiramisu with those ingredients is nothing short of genius.
Legit I felt like I was watching Shokugeki no Soma in this entire show.
I wish they would include his unreleased scenes. In his interview w Hyeri he said he cried a lot but it wasnt shown
I come here again because matfia said that chef anh's smile looks like a beluga. So cute 😆
Very creative
He’s in the final . Ones to win
Netflix should release their convenience store recipes for public
these two judges were the BEST!
He's brilliant 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
i forget that korea's convenience store has better quality than America. i was so confused how the ingredients would taste so good😆
He is obviously chef Ahnj favorite
This guy is so good, he keep rising back from ash
Best scene of the show!!
This is the most food anime thing I have seen in real life.
Bro thinks he's the main character
Turns out he's the actual main character
I can make this recipe at home. So excited ❤
Anime Food wars personified
Napoli Matfia is soo cool
Convenience Stores always has hidden gem foods.
The finale of this season made me cry with all the contestant's backstories 😭
Now CU announce that they going to sell this tiramisu in their store
Sure did😂
2 steps ahead - this chef is someone who should be afraid to compete against
He really pulled a "nah I'd win" at start
Bro has a successful restaurant in Seoul in an expensive neighborhood. He is supremely confident and skilled. His restaurant doesn't even have a menu. You just go and eat what he makes.
I wanna try his chestnut tiramisu too
When I saw it is a convenience store first thing in my mind is dessert and he made tiramisu was a good choice.
the best thing I learn from him is... he believe in him self and even if it lose or win, he will always stand up and keep his head up no matter what. that is the true spirit of a sigma male right there.
I hope for either triple star or napoli to win it all. They deserve it, the white chefs are already accomplished so im hoping for the underdogs to win
This is some Yukihira Soma moment it's soooo good
You can see from here who is the real chef and who only orders people around in the kitchen
I love the korean variety shows on netflix but the translations suck - 3:42 he says "this is a scam" which is more witty. Why do they always make the subtitles so unoriginal when they can just translate some expression literally??
because netflix translater is Bastard
Netflix subtitles are poorer than Google translator.
I agree the translations aren't the best, but "this is a scam" in English makes no sense. It's a euphemism in Korean that doesn't hold the same context in English.
"This feels like cheating" would be the more appropriate translation in this case
@@wortyle Who would translate it using exactly the same expressions?
I would translate it into some forms like
Mr. Paik:
"No way..!"
"No. It can't be...!(Mr. Paik got surprised)"
"This is ridiculously good(Mr. Paik smiling)"
"You must be kidding me...!(watching Napoli Matfia)"
he's indeed the main character
i love how the thumbnail looks
same 🙌🏻
I’m curious what this dessert would actually taste like if he had actual ingredients to work with rather than convenience store items
The convenience store CU said they are going to sell this dessert in stores. Cant wait to try it😊
They’d be crying as they eat it 😌
This is some _Shokugeki_ level genius.
If judges' clothes fell off, it would be real-life food wars
i wanted to know what it tastes like, the visuals looks so appetising
by the look of the chestnut tiramisu is already tempting & look so delicious..
i wish there were more scenes of napoli matfia showcasing his skills :( almost wished he was in the tofu challenge considering he likes to create something new as well (even if mainly just pasta)
He is the official final winner🎉
