    This is the heavy 18.8 oz. version of Duku Chandong 12" blade made by MyParang.com. They also make a lighter 12" blade 15.4 oz. version & a 10 " blade as well as two sizes of Golok blades.

      BATJAC J.W I like the Obenauf oil so far. The wood absorbed it and it doesn't feel like a sticky overcoat. You can still feel the wood. I'll give it a week to soak up all the oil before I add one more coat.

    Nice blade! Does this Parang arrive sharpened or blunt? not so good at sharpening see!

      Mine was sharp enough, not razor sharp but jungle type sharp for those uses. I could improve on it with a bit of work.

      I purchased from Blade HQ but myparang.com is the home website of the manufacturer. It is stamped right onto the bolster.

      Shipping is free from Blade HQ IF they still have them in stock. I got this blade over a year ago, so things change. As for the shipping cost from Malaysia, I have not got a clue. The US dollar currency has gone up vs. other oversea currencies over the years so you may get a favorable exchange rate direct from Bidur. Good luck!

      Hawaii Volcano Squad pls try duku chandong parang sir..we used leaf spring or carbon steel..its easy to sharpening and vry strong steel..yea but litle bit heavy..

      Blade is stamped "BIDOR MALAYSIA" right on the Parang. I endeavor to be accurate.

      hatake uzumaki parang is from malaysia..sabah,sarawak call it parang..while peninsula malaysia call it golok..bidor parang is from bidor,perak..

      Fucking Indon thinking everything came from them, this is MALAYSIAN MADE and Duku Candong style is native to Sarawak Malaysia.
