The Duku chopped through the 2x4 in 16 strikes over the Golok’s 42. The forward weight of the Duku, as in an axe, seems to be better for chopping.

@@outdoordynamicsMY Hello sir. Becouse of your video i bought a Duku chandong 10" and i love it👍
      But i have a question...
What do you think of using a parang in winter time like - 20°c🤔 becouse of wooden handle and maybe britle(frozen) steel, i know that in summer time the steel is more fexible?
      Thanks four your answer 👋

Thats a deadly dinosaur killer! I like the Parang. Would be cool if you guys made this in some kind of hybrid modern style (short 10").

The round handle bounces everywhere.. Needs to be flatter on the front sides like it is on the back.

It’s supposed to rotate in the hand with the swing…right? You don’t clench it like as axe or a hatchet. That being the case I’m glad mine has flat sides and a curved front and rear handle shape. I have a Bark River Golok in A2 steel that’s just the opposite…clench it like a hatchet. That cryo treated convex edged A2 is the toughest steel I’ve ever seen anywhere. The Parang is differentially hardened rather like a Katana.
