I'll agree with you that blond hair and blue eyes were present within the levant before the crusades, but the maronites and crusaders had a strong relationship and their y haplotype shows this.

I did not watch every Episode of this show but let me tel you. This is about the only guest worth listening to. Everyone else I watched was a Pretentious piece of work. It’s also amazing how he transformed the hosts into Sounded more authentic. In other episodes I always feel an irritating sense of western pretentiousness coming out the hosts and their guests. Nevertheless thank you putting-on a valuable Episode.

The contact with Europeans and northern Volga dates back to thousands of years back. During the Phoenician era , they traveled all the way to Northern Europe .The east Mediterranean was part of Roman and Byzantine empire for long time as well

All middle eastern people are mostly caucasian. The earliest people who existed in this region were described as white skinned yes white skinned with tan variations.
Most blonde or northern european features are not native levantine or mediterranean traits and do come from crusaders and to some lesser extent Romans, Byzantines and Greeks who also don’t primarily have those traits but are likely to have brought more of it.
