- Finally got everything buttoned up enough to take it for a short drive. It's been a long time coming. Lots of elbow grease and time spent to this point. Still a lot left to do. #c10, #squarebody, #stoutcustom
Nice, I’m sure you’re happy to see it moving along!
Absolutely!
This is awesome buddy! Way to go!
Thanks! It’s coming along. 👍
great to see it running!
Yeah it is. 👍
Yes sir that is awesome
Thanks Mark and thanks for watching!
Awesome!!!
Thanks Greg and thanks for watching!
Man,that had to feel good! Great video
Yeah feels good. Still a lot to do but moving ahead.
@@StoutCustom A lot to do but a lot has been done. Like they say,if it was easy, everybody would be doing it lol. I finally got all the suspension and drive train done on my 70 C-10 so now the real work begins.
Looking good Jim ! I can’t wait for the first drive in my old truck !
Really makes you want to keep going. Thanks for watching!
that's gotta be an awesome feeling to go on that first roll around. I can't wait to experience that on my truck this year
It is if you can get past all the stuff going through your mind…did I tighten that, what’s that noise, is it supposed to do that, will it overheat, etc…lol
Nice! Great to see it all coming together!
Finally! It’s getting there.
Nice
Thanks CR
I just did the same thing today. Now I don’t feel so bad. 🤣 I just uploaded the video. It’s processing.
It’s a good feeling
I’m glad to see it all coming together. I’ve been keeping up with your projects for about two years, or ever since I bought my 67 c10. Can’t wait to see it get finished. Also, how is the show truck coming along?
Last I knew the owner was working on wiring up the show truck. He should be getting close to finished by now I think. Thanks for following along and good luck with your truck!
Jim, With a turbo charger, the intakes pressure can go from negative to positive. Did you install a new MAP sensor to produce the correct signal for that? It was just a thought that popped into my mind while listening and watching you drive. You know how everything runs on sensors now. Congratulations!
Yes it has a new map sensor. The Holley terminator has some base parameters to make it run but I need to have it tuned to dial things in. It’s on the list, lol.
@@StoutCustom I understand Jim. I did know you had that system and even though I never worked on one, just trying to be helpful. I didn't mean anything by it as I have heard others say the newer systems "Learn" on their own.
@@deankay4434 no worries Dean. It was a good question. I’m new to a lot of this LS/electronic stuff so I’m learning as I go. 👍
@@StoutCustom Jim, I should visit my problems onto you! For that reason I am removing the next reply.
Life is hard, many have it harder than us and you do body work full of great tips, tricks, helpful information I don't see anywhere. I wish you had 100k subscribers and deserve each one.
Thanks for your time and best of luck during 2023 and beyond! Thanks. DK
@@deankay4434 it’s no problem Dean. Sometimes it helps to have somewhere to vent. As I get older I realize that what I like to do is mostly hands on type work. I dread the day I can no longer jump out there and make it happen. That point comes to all of us. Some sooner rather than later. I’ll go as hard as I can for as long as I can and let the cards fall where they may. Most of it is out of our control. I hope things get better for you Dean. Keep looking for a fix, that’s what we do. Until then keep commenting and sharing your knowledge, it can help me or someone reading through looking for an answer to their problem. As we say in the south “preciate you”.
Is that OBS seat really any better than the stock bench?
It’s personal preference I think but the original seat in this was was like sitting on a piece of plywood. Not sure why it was so bad but I had to find something else. If it had been comfortable I would have used it. Thanks for watching!
DO A BURNOUT!!!
It’s coming, lol
