You have to be careful, using a Mr. Clean magic eraser on painted walls. It is a high grit sandpaper, so it removes a fine layer of paint off of the wall. When the light hits your wall and you look at different angles, you will see all of the spots left on the wall from the magic eraser. If you scrub hard enough, you will sometimes even see the paint directly on the sponge. Not the best way to clean scuff marks on walls!
I had no idea now my walls are messed up. Texture is gone in spots, other spots are shiny, very uneven, white residue and looks like shadowing in other spots. Can you provide suggestions for repair? I’m renting a house and I’m terrified that I’ve damaged the wall. Thanks

I spent about $2k having the living room/kitchen/dining room and stairwell painted THE SAME EXACT COLOR when I bought our house 3 years ago simply because there were a few scuff marks here and there. Had I known, the Mr. Clean method, it could have saved me time and money until I decided that I wanted a new paint color. Three years down the line, my kid has made scuff marks, too. I am using Mr. Clean to take care of it. 😆

What is the best way) the mr. clean sponge made it worse for me. And my son keeps making marks
@@maddiex0x0x0x0 If I knew, I wouldn't be looking on youtube, but bleach (for white walls) does seem to be better than dishwasher liquid.

Left a sheen on my wall, so it was a fail. Benjamin Moore Aura paint.
Ugh same now it looks shiny where I used it. No way to get that off?

Well, unfortunately I've had to lose some paint til I found this solution too. Hope it helps in the future though

It worked for me also got out other black marks on my wall will be buying Mr Clean sponges for now on
