- Hi Star Wars collectors, in this video I compare all 4 of the Vintage Collection Mandalorian figures we have so far. VC166, VC177, VC181 and the Carbonised Mandalorian. I also head swap the Din Djarin head and place it on all the other figures.

I 'gave' the camtono accessories to the 1st release mando, because it is the most logical figure to hold it *before the whole armor get beskarized. Fingers crossed for season 2 thigh armor changes and beskar spear!

I have all three ( not carbonised) and I like the Beskar version the best. The build up pack version is great but was only really for the final episode of season 1. The clean Beskar is very cool and when loose, looks great on a shelf, and I think really does look like the version we see the most.
The pre Beskar and the Djin Djarin are awesome, the Maldo Kreis is decent. I think we're due a Mandalorian figure that is on par with some of these new figures in terms of paint and articulation. Still really like his face sculpt on the one with Grogu, looks better than the one on Morak
Considering that Din has the Dark Saber and Beskar Spear, Im pretty sure they'll have a deluxe set. Either him alone packed with the previous accessories including the Dark Saber and Beskar Spear OR a 2-set pack with Moff Gideon with addition of Din's spear.
I think it’s cool that you prefer the “pre-beskar” Mandalorian. Initially I preferred the “Bling” version but having recently watched the first season again, I’m coming round to your way of thinking. I’ve only one carded & I’m considering opening him to be able to fully appreciate it, he’s not so rare - I don’t know 🤷🏻♂️. Thanks for helping make my mind up about the carbonised version that I’d considered as I have all of the others. Looks like one I can pass on & spend my money on another more worthy 👍🏼

I love the video. You are right the beskar helmet should either be shiny like in VC181 in all of the figures or the beskar armor should look like VC 166. The problem I see with VC177 is that it is suppose to be when he got the beskar after turning in the child, so it should actually look just like VC 166 as he should still only have a beskar helmet, instead it looks like he just came out of battle some time after getting his beskar, so he should not have the container of beskar still.

Didn’t realize that the Maldo Kreis snow one with Grogu and spiders had snow painted on them until I took them out of the package to photograph. Didn’t need that for my desert scene. The first mandalorian figure is the best. Although the detail of the armor with damage is great.
Of course, there may be differences of opinion between buyers regarding what they like and what they want from a figure. But there is no reason to get angry so easily.
Carbonised rocks , its different and maybe it maybe the one to collect .I have all of them and usually the it's the that is on the outside that nobody likes becomes the one to have . JUst my Thoughts Team .
Ty Bossk now I just have to decide which to have without the helmet on, it’s going to b one of the beskar figures. But he may look good helmet off without battle damage!

Cool video, I really like the way Mando’s unmasked head looks on the older armor!
The last one with child is the best and of course it’s a freaking Walmart exclusive and it will be a month before I see it and I bought 7 of them so I get one mint one for my collection, one to open for the razor crest I’m going to open. The rest I’ll trade or sell off to get my money back.

i wish so badly that hasbro would remake and do a vintage collection on their video game/ expanded universe characters; ranging from republic commando, knights of the old republic, and force unleashed. because i want the knights of old republic commando clone trooper toy, shak ti from the force unleashed even all the toys made for that game, but also i guess i wouldn't be opposed to some updated delta or omega squad from the republic commando universe.
I need a new Dash Rendar.
@@steverino6954 why don't they just make all these expanded universe characters. Or is it like an ego move from Disney that if they acknowledged that universe it means what they have made is less desirable.
Seriously though the time of force unleash and republic commandos and old republic was a great time for Star wars because there was so many separate little creative stories being made.
@@malaciczahkhav2480 Not sure. They did do that Black Series Jaina Solo figure, which surprised me, so they are not completely adverse to it apparently. I guess they just need to be convinced that it will make money. (I know I would buy them.)
Great vid! I hope they fix the beskar figures tho cause they are not accurate to the design regarding the left leg missing the armor that has similar to boba fett and with the new episode out that has a change on the armor again.

My personal fave is the Din Djarin Mando build up pack fig , it's awesome. 👍
@@dreyn7780 what's to explain , I think the figure is the best Mando fig. The weathering to his armour so it's not too shiny and the fact he comes with a few extras. 😉
VC166 is my favourite card back, I’m not a huge fan of VC181 I think the armour is way too bright it’s almost white in comparison to the others, my favourite figure has to be the build up pack just love the weathering on it I think they nailed it
I want to revive jimmy Hendricks just so he can make a protest song against Walmart and their pre orders.

These are all so excellent! I was ecstatic when the Mando Build up Pack got Announced during Mando mondays, the card back is atrocious however; cameras can show how blurry and grainy it is. I think that the regular Beskar Mando release and the OG have the best card backs though.

@Cheddar Cheese it is supposed to be an exclusive to WalMart (in the US at least) and was supposed to start shipping about 2 weeks ago. But mine (and it seems like nearly everyone else in this comments section) is still getting "delayed" notifications ☹

Hey Bossk, Did you get that Wal-Mart mando with grogu (really wish it came with the beskar staff as well)at a Wal-Mart, Secondary market, or did you get it from Hasbro? I really want that one and havent seen it at retail yet but, I have it on pre-ordered at E.E. Love the channel my friend! I kind of stopped doing the Black Series. Except for a few I really love. Basically because i've always been a 3 3/4" guy. Ever since the beginning in '78 when then figures acually came out in stores.
There are loads on the UK. US stock was delayed apparently

Bossk my friend, I would like to make a sugestion of video content for the future, if you like too. Please, make a new video comparing these four models + The rescue set model, N1 Star fighter model + Mines od Mandalore model + tatooine model + maldo kreiss model. I realy realy like his figures.
My VC181 is supposed to arrive from Amazon on Jan 6th. Still no updates from Walmart concerning VC177. As for the Incinerator Trooper, it has even moved to processing order. I’m expecting to receive a cancellation notice...
Mandos galore! Just waiting for VC181 to arrive then will have all 3 versions. Carbonized version is not the way for me : ). Thanks for the detailed comparisons.

We should probably start putting a disclaimer on the Beskar Mando's saying 'Not sold in stores'. The 16+ Walfarts and Targets in this area have received about 2 cases of VC since Oct.

Interesting to see this. I wonder if the figure in the Razor Crest will come with an interchangeable head. Do you think it will be a new sculpt? Or the same sculpt with a cloth cape.

Thanks for the information on the differant Mandos and who knows the one with two right pauldrons might be sought after and even faked for it's rarity over time. I'll buy another one and trade you if you want? Only the painted armor Mando handled the camtono I think it's weird that not just hasbro but other manufactures package Mando figures this way.

Is VC166 the first 3.75 Mando ever made? I mostly collect 6" Black Series. Vintage Collection name throws me off.

Great review comparison. I like the original and build up pack Mandos the most. And they're also the 2 that I purchased. Any news on the next wave of Vintage Collection figures? I really want a Siege Of Mandalore or Mandolarian season 2 Ashoka, The Grand Inquisitor, Dark Trooper, The entire Bad Batch, Drydon Vos' Hyborian Guards and Bo Katan figure

Cool video, thanks, BB. I'm not a fan of the carbonised figures. Total rubbish. If Hasbro cant afford all-new molds then they should have given us some repacks of excellent Legacy Collection figures instead e.g. Giran, Leesub Sirln, (Malakili) Rancor Keeper etc. Loving the beskar armour Mando. Great idea to try the that amazing head sculpt on other figures. Kudos to Hasbro for it fitting! Thanks for your great vids.

Hi Bossk! Our Mando build-up pack left should pad does NOT use the same pad and therefore does not have the mud horn symbol...do you have an error on your figure perhaps?

yep, he upgraded his armour when he handed the child over in ep 3 of season 1.
Hi Bossk. Happy New Year to you from Europe. Thank you for your detailed comparison. The Din Djarin set a little bit surprised me. I don't know why was necessary to use same shoulder armor piece for both shoulders. This is not a big but annoying frugality. This is an exlusive item- The designer or maker shouldn't make such a "mistake" I know it wasn't a mistake it was a stupid racionalization. Yeah and the card a little bit characterless. At first view I thought that this item is one of in the top 5 vintage collection figures ( It was only my opinion ). Anyway the child and the Mandalorian's head are nice.
I am sure not all come with 2 shoulders the same. It’s an error on mine. My sons is fine

I think his original armor is Beskar, but it's not pure Beskar like his second set.
Maybe, but he also has parts from other armour such as the hand guards from Shore Troopers etc

Nice comparison video, I loved the original Mando release and looking forward to adding the Mando build-up pack (hopefully) to my collection in the New Year. I liked the 6” TBS carbonized figures but strangely I’m not really feeling TVC versions.

So, on my Beskar Mando I've noticed his left leg is shorter than the right. I'm assuming it's because they resculpted it to take the knee armor off, but it's really annoying!! Is it just mine or do you have the same issue?
