Hi Calvin im currently installing a short shifter into my 240, thing is I don't have a wave washer. Is it ok if I go without it, or do I need it? Also I have a hard time finding one.
Great video! Just had a few questions as I am looking to buy and install the same kit on my r32. I've heard that some of these shifters cause transmission leaks on the KA and SR trans, have you noticed any leaking with the RB trans? I also wanted to know if your kit was labeled to fit the rb20det trans, or if it was a kit labeled to fit the CA/KA/SR trans only. I heard that SR shifters fit the rb20 but wanted to confirm before buying. Thanks!
+Alex Grant Well I'm running a KA trans. I haven't experienced any leaking. I made sure to put a cover over the shiver assembly like how it is stock, Keeps the nasty smell out too...

Jefffg2 yea I actually bought a cheap one off eBay, and if I remember right, it fits rb20, rb25, and sr20 but I could be wrong. I'll post a link in a sec

I'm having trouble removing this shifter off my 240, I removed the side clamps and I couldn't remove the adapter plate for the life of me.
+Erick Santo Yeah Alex's 240 had the same issue.. We used the open end of a wrench to pry it off haha.

Try DND shift knobs, I have one in my accord and it's the perfect weight and size but they aren't that pricey
