Very helpful thank you, I'd sort of worked out that this should be possible but it is generally hidden amongst acronym filled mush, so thank you for your very clear explanation. I'm in the UK where similar data should be available through the Ordnance Survey.

Thank you for sharing. Can you explain how to eliminate that meter of error? A meter sounds like it’s basically unusable data but perhaps I’m missing something

It's not a meter of error, it's a meter off from my drone orthomosaic and I can't say how accurate the drone data is. It's georeferenced to State of Hawai'i LiDAR basically. The accuracy of your GPS data varies depending on conditions and how long you collect. If you collect for like a full day in a place with an open view of the sky and a few miles from the CORS station, you can assume a few cm accuracy but you can never know for sure!

Oh thank you…that makes more sense. So in theory you can shift your entire ortho (realign it) with accurate ground control points and you will no longer show that meter difference. Thank you for explaining

@@volantdrone yes if you're confident in your ground control points, you can shift an orthomosaic. Or you can use GIS software to georeference it which will do more than just shift, but will also "rubber sheet" or "warp" the image to match the points. But ideally you would want to put your GCPs in the photogrammetry program
