I went through the rocker panel replacement last year. (both sides) Those end caps are not an easy fit. I am glad to see you put the front side kick panels on the right way, overlapping, so water will not enter through a crack that is only seam sealed. The TR is looking good!
Typical TR-6. The more you dig , the more rot you find. Rocker panel replacement is challenging. Not difficult to do but difficult to do correctly. Nice job.
Nice job! I started to watch your VW videos, but car body repair is interessting too. Even if it’s not on a Beetle😃 I’m now working on the chassie of my Volkswagen, but hopefully not too long in the future I will start on the body itselves. (It’s a type 1, with type 181 spindles, and rear axles with reduction boxes from old t2.) I’m, suppose like you, not a suomalainen from birth. I moved to Kainuu with my wife, from Norway inn 2018. Trying too learn the finish language, but find it quite hard😅 Mutta; pikku hilja! That you speak english helps a lot👍
Nice to hear from you and hope you’re enjoying Finland. Sounds like a cool project you have. Always wanted to build a lifted Kupla or Baja. Pleased that you find the videos helpful. And all bodywork techniques apply to any car 😁 I will be posting more soon. Good luck with your project. pikkuhilja 😁
excellent series. A real eye opener as to what is required to repair the bodywork on what appeared to be a very sound example!
Thank you so much. Yes its always a surprise what lurks underneath. Luckily this was a very salvable car. Jamie

Thank you! Yes they are made of many layers so wanted to keep it correct, although sometimes easier said than done. Jamie
Really nice welding. Great work. Nice tip for the plug welds.
Thank you. Its nice to weld fresh metal.

Typical classic car I would say! 😂 They all have hidden surprises. Nice to document a build like this though as adds to its history. Jamie
Great detail. Thanks
Thank you so much. Much appreciated. Jamie
Good work getting the flickering removed!
It is better! I also exported the file using 24fps so I think it helped.
Nice job!

Great Job! Glad my TR6 does not need this kind of work (yet). In case, I know where to look at for ideas how to get it done. 👍
Thank you and glad you are enjoying the videos. Yes don’t start poking as it could escalate quite fast 🙈 Jamie
