Good job, Don🎉🎉
The Porsche is back! 😎 Thanks Dominic, always a joy to watch your videos every Sunday!
Dominique!
Absolutely loved it ! 😊❤
The 356 is coming along nicely.
I haven’t watched for almost a year, and binged to catch up. You are demonstrating the time and patience required, while also showing it’s not out of reach for most competent people with the will and commitment, you’re an inspiration!
That’s very kind, thank you!
Glad to see you are back on the 356👍👍. No John 😮.
356 Day is a GREAT day, Thanks Dom!
Hallelujah the work on the Porsche lives . Shame John ain't with you . He loves that spot welder 😁 Dom whatever you do on your channel is fine by me. Just great stuff 👍
Thanks 👍
Only thing I've subscribed to. Great videos. Really appreciate your attention to detail. It's so essential. The craftsmen that originally built that car would be smiling.
All hail the 356. Great to see work on it being carried out. Hang in there Dom.
Yay! Dom in his element, welding, hammering, cutting with the grinder... Thank you for progress on the 356!
Very good. The elephant gobbling metaphor is a good one for such a monumental undertaking. It's so easy to imagine that I'll just chop out the rusty sections and weld in some new stuff. You're showing us how far from simple it really is. I really admire you for doing this to such a high standard without a specialized, elaborate restoration garage.
Great to see you making progress on the 356.
Thanks 👍
I lived most of my adult life in the USA Rust Belt States. It's not the best environment for anything made of steel, so battling rust was a constant task. The cars were sometimes so badly rusted there was no remaining connecting metal. And as you point out, there were often critical structural areas where three or four panels overlapped. I admire your persistence, craftsmanship and optimistic nature as you peck away at the rot, bringing this one back from the dead. It's a noble cause, indeed!
As always an excellent video Dom. I know from the many vehicles I have restored you start cutting and welding in new panels and it's like chasing smoke. Cut out one piece and you find more rot, repair that and find more rot. Thats just the way it is, I'm afraid.
But we all have to dream of what the car will look like when she is finished. We all have that dream....... car finished and off down the road we drive. That's what keeps us all going.
Great to see you working on the 356 again, I’d completely given up on it, so pleased to see progress 👍
Fantastic to see you back on the Porsche , keep up the good work 🤩✨🙌👏👏👏
I never cease to be amazed that you are never daunted by the sheer scale of the tasks which you undertake. What a pal you have in Jon, you make a great team. Great entertainment for us viewers. Thanks Dom, keep up the good work.
Lovely to see an artisan at work 👍
Sunday mornings always start with Dom and a cup of tea. Nice to see you back on the Porche!
Looking good Dom 👍
Thanks 👍
Slow and steady wins the 356 restoration. 👏🏻👏🏻
This is the only reason that I follow this channel.
Dominic, I really enjoy watching the 356 take shape. The other great adage, "Rome wasn't built in a day", as well as, "Slow and steady wins the race". You'll get there, mate! Also, I've watched "The Repair Shop" from the very beginning, and I can say that it is my favourite program. There isn't one episode that is my favourite, because they're all wonderful to watch and they bring a tear to my eye, from time to time. You and your co-workers are the most talented craftsmen and artisans I've ever seen assembled under one roof, you are all truly the dream team of restoration.
Great to have this update on the 356. Time for a general update on all the projects (aero-engine car, pedal car, Golf Pickup and the Land Rover)? More generally, really enjoy being "in your workshop". Thanks.
Love the 356
Great to see progress on the 356
Great to see you working on the 356, progress is progress.
love your work! I hope there are updates a soon as possible! I’m from Germany and the Name is PorschE, the „E“ at the end isn’t silent! 😜
Keep up your great work 💪
Yay, great upgrade. Still lots of bites before the elephant is eaten. 😅 But this is looking really good. Hope the next update is not gonna take a long time.
Great update- Keep them coming! Love to see the work on the 356!
Love this Dom - this is the meat in the sandwich! (And gives in inspiration to all those who think they have difficult restoration projects until they see this - ha ha)
I am enjoying the updates on the 356. It sometimes looks as if it is 2 steps forward and 1 step back, but as you mentioned progress is being made. Just sad that @honestjohn did not get to play with the spot welder.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Nice work Dominic. Looking good! Well done.
Looking good as the Phoenix rising from the ashes. It’s all about the journey and this will be an epic one when driving to Goodwood hopefully. Cheers. Thank you.
So excited to watch this. Hope you are able to get the bug for this project again!!!
Dominic, thank you for returning back to the 356. I had given up hope of seeing another episode before my passing!
Loving that you are back working on this, come mate, you can get it done
great to see his on he go again. One of my favourie UA-cam projects.
Keep chipping away can't wait to see the engine build/rebuild😊
Your doing well 👏 🙌 👍
Yes! Thank you - lovely to see some more 356 work. Another couple of episodes on the Porsche would make me and many other people on here very happy. Keep it up Dom - thanks
Thank you Dom: always pleased to watch you work on any project. Best wishes.
Great to see Porsche progress!
Yes happy to nsee progress on the 356A! This is what I signed up for, but honestly, I've enjoyed it all. Looking forward to more in the upcoming year!
Yes, 356 progress! A little here and there adds up. Jon must have been stuck in traffic again. 😂
YAY the porche is Back ❤❤❤❤
Yippee back on the Porsche (pronounced Porsche AHH). Don't let John know you used the spot welder without him he will get jealous.
Ah Dom! Always a great day for all of us when the 356 and spot welder finally meet! Like you say, never remove too much old metal in one go, I fell foul of that approach when I first began restoring. It will get done taking small steps.
356 - what a great Christmas present to all your subscribers! I honestly thought this was an impossible project when you started it (pulling the doors off by by hand - no tools needed).
I'm trying to imagine how radiant your well-deserved grin will be when you finally get it drivable. Massive respect Dom; thanks.
Peeling the Artichoke! Thanks for the update!
Roast dinner and Dom's video, it's what Sunday was made for 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Well done you have done a fair amount. 😊
Bravo
Zoom zoom😊
Woop woop. I actually love the sound of that spot welder!
Can you recycle those little bits of steel you cut off and that fall to the floor?
And you're definitely NOT an idiot!
PS Dan... loved the elephant trumpeting!!
I don't think people have a real grasp on how astonishing an automobile assembly line is unless you have restored automobile , the 356 is shaping up and no need to rush because Imo this is the fun part the part you will look back on my fondly than the driving , heck you know that more than most lol
keep going dom more 356 episodes please😁
Nice to see some progress on the Porche Dom Great work and video as ever fella. Still a bit to do but you'll get there. Thanks for sharing😊
Love it - back on the Porker!!
Great memories of cutting, forming, machining, welding, hammering, cursing and swearing. Thanks for your great content Dom and bringing me back in the shop vicariously with your videos!
Yayyy We all love the Porsche!
Mission creep strikes again, loving the progress..keep on keeping on! 👍
Any progress is always worth watching,👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏👏👏🤠
Nice to see that you are continuing to work on the Porsche 356. I'm looking forward to more videos with body work on the Porsche. Good Luck.
Nice one Dom, good to see progress on the Porsche, at least you have pleased all the moaners now!! I’m happy to see your updates as and when, I’m more interested in the Edwardian ! So many projects, and so little time, I dont envy you at all ! Always look forward to my Sunday episode whatever it may be, have quite enjoyed the J40 journey so far, keep it going.
Thanks Dom Merry Christmas
As you say, the back end really is starting to take form now and looking marvellous. I must admit I was nervous for you when it was all apart and awaiting the delivery of panels from the states! Well done.
well done for getting back to you project your work shop looks as cold as mine going by your breth
Porsche restorations are my favorite to watch
About bloody time !!!😅
You'll be Doc Hollywooding around in no time Dom. Keep the faith!
Great to see the Porsche back again 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Bedankt
I just finished binge watching all the episodes leading up to this one. I am hooked! What a labour of love this car is. I can't wait to see the next episode and also the first time it rolls out of the shop under its own power again. Amazing work!
Good progress on the 356, one bite at a time Dom.
Great, industrial sewing at its best😅👍
Well done Dom. Also good to hear about another series of The Repair Shop. I had seem talk of it ending.
Great progress! Finally some 356😃
Looking forward to seeing it finished. I'm sure you are as well.
All progress is good Dom.
Glad you’re back at it !
Perfectly happy with a short run of Porsche vids, maybe with an aero engine update somewhere in there too.Cheers Dom
thank goodness 🙏👏👏
Go on lads !!!!
The 356 is back Christmas came early, thanks Dom,
About time you got stuck into it again! You know it’s John’s favourite project.😂
Looking good Dom.
That spot welder is great, but that Tig.... is art.
I enjoy all the content on your channel, Dom, and especially the variety, so a Porsche update is welcome, in turn.
I'm sure the many Porsche fans would want more Porsche, but the 356 project is going to be a case of cut-shape-weld-grind-repeat for a long, long time to come, so I'd just like to say that this was about the right length for the new content (for the non-Porsche followers).
Nevertheless, I hope you do manage to find the time to get some serious progress over the next few weeks. Cheers.
Love the 356 videos. Merry Christmas
Have a look at Yorkshire Car Restoration, you can see how they rebuild a car like a jigsaw, maintaining edges, jut like you are doing. Great work Dom.
Absolute class as always! ... sick work !!!
Thanks mate!
Yes, 356 Metal Work. Merry Christmas.
I only watch your channel for this!!
Nice work Dom! Lots of irons in the fire it seems. Always good to see some Porsche reconstruction vids.
A new workshop tour would be awesome!
Hi Dom, wishing you Jon, Camera Dan (and Wendy!) a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! Can't wait to see what 2025 brings!
Good to see the 356 back on your schedule.
Dom, As I work on my '57 356A I tell people it's like working on an onion. We just keep pealing back layers until we can start building it back. LOL
Good to see it coming along.
Thank you Dom for the video! Yes very excited to see the progress on the 356! Can’t wait for the next video! Have a great Christmas!
