Most gun companies are very hesitant on giving your money back. They will no doubt have you send it in to be fixed. When you get it back if it makes it through 10 rounds then sell it or trade it. No winners here.
Sounds like the ammo was too hot or out of spec. The casing was expanding too much. Did you try different brands of ammo? Maybe the barrel chamber was out of spec?
i saw a comment on the extractor and think that could be the problem. Sorry to hear it is giving you trouble. Great channel keep up the great work. I have heard of using fitz metal polish on the chamber to remove tooling marks this must be done very carefully!!! you may want to take the slide and an empty case and see how much tension you have on the extractor. There are some vids on this for testing a glock extractor on the apex web site

I loved my original Caracal guns, but I WON'T buy them from the UAE anymore. I had three, all three recalled. Won't buy again, with all these problems. Like I said, they suck at making firearms. They need to sell to someone I will buy from who can do it better. Hard to believe that anyone can suck worse than Taurus. Their website says "world renowned". More like "globally infamous".
its not a total failure. when i first got mine it had the lock up problem every 5 rounds. i cleaned my barrel and slide, lubricated it nice and good, replaced my extractor with a custom extractor, started using steel jacketed 9mm with less pressure and VOILA! i could now go through a lot of rounds without a single malfunction. i put through 715 rounds and had only 3 malfunctions
I think this issues would happen in any firearms. have you checked the extractor, Springs, cleaning it well, the type of ammunition. wondering How @Caracal USA solved this issue? I have one with no problems and never let me down. love from YEMEN.
Actually they changed manufacturers of their parts. Not sure it was related to my experience but they have been promising to get me back a gun now for about 2 years and so far nothing. I really want it back because I love the gun but....2 years?
That really does suck! Get the Archon type b. Got mine for around 750 all in. Been 100% after 2500 rounds. Worth every penny and it needs nothing out of the box.

I bought a Kahr CW 380 a few years back and could even get through 120 rounds for their so called break-in period. Biggest POS gun I ever owned. When I sold it for what I had in it was a great day!!! Your experience is why I stick to MAJOR gun manufactures like Remington, Ruger, CZ, Smith & Wesson, and Savage.
I recently went to a shooting here in the UAE and used a UAE-made Carcal Pistol (not mine; belongs to the club). I didn't have this issue at all with the 50 rounds I used. (disclaimer: I'm not an expert and usually go to a shooting range every two months)
I have one of the initial 500 "commemorative" models where the frame is uae and the slide is usa made. I do not have this issue. Do they even supply this gun anymore? There is literally no new information about Caracal online.
40 failures out of 120 rounds? That's completely unacceptable. I would atleast send it back to them to see if they can remedy the problem. If not, then drop it like a hot potato. Well, don't actually drop it - who knows if it's even drop safe?
@@mdsmith1019 U dont usually buy my guns in gun stores. Get way better prices online and having them ship it to an ffl. Even with ffl fees for the paper work you come out ahead of gun store mark ups.
This is why I and alot of others are skeptical about newer guns...A simple test fire of a mag or two would have been the right thing to do before shipping this gun out...Think Caracal think. Damn 1776, that blows man! I had high hopes for that gun despite that trigger pull on that first vid. But crap, i was on the fence whether to get a Caracal or just go with a Steyr A2 MF. Unfortunately, you made that decision for me. Hope the company refunds it or fixes it quick. Good luck!

I just got rid of it. I did like how it shot but it would just lock up on me and I was like the hell with it. It might have been a lemon
Hate that you had so many issues. It would be hard for me to trust even if fixed without some long term shooting with zero failures. This will not be on my to get list unfortunately.

The manufacturing is done by amateurs, no skills and no quality controll, the head of that factory was an ex Steyr person, took the design and encouraged the Sheikhs there to build a production.... the result shows....
@@1776orbust Well, i dont know enough about there US production, but seen all the complaints and negative comments, it does not seem to be much improved.... as a matter of fact, nor the UAE Police or the Armed Forces use the weapon as there service gun as of today... You may answer the question behind it yourself....

I have a Magnum Research 1911 that had failure to extract/ double feed issues at least 1 to 2 rounds per magazine- when I switched to CMC magazines, it fixed the issue. So, possibly just bad magazines on the Caracal- also possible that the gun itself is a total POS. Best of luck & keep up the great videos. 👍

It sounds like you have a weak extractor spring, or a poorly designed extractor.
I'd sell it, and buy a A2-MF...
I think you found the only firearm that CA might approve and add to the handgun roster.

Is there even a lip on the extractor? I had a pistol that the extractor broke and it ran better than that.

If it is a chamber issue I could see that happen on multiple guns as the result of a bad batch. Hopefully they'll fix you up with new parts.

Grand power guns are awesome. I have a p11 and plan on picking up a stribog soon.
Only problem is actually finding them in the gun stores. I'm drooling over the Q100 but no one in Omaha carries them. Bleh.

This problem you are describing is the same problem I had with the ppq m2. I traded it cuz it was so un reliable
