I re-edited it, didn’t like how it came out the first time around 😅
In my country, the barilla Genovese pesto at minute 3:24 has a value of $4,500 clp, something like £5.20. I was quite surprised by the price difference. I want to cry 😭
@ Sebastian Oyarzo I live like 40 minutes away from Genova and there's this little supermarket in my town that sells Pesto di Pra (province of Genova where they cultivate basil and produce a bunch of pesto) and it's absoloutly best! I get huge glass jars (500g or around 1lbs) of fresh pesto at €9.90 in the fridge section and then I portion it at home and freez it. And they also only use traditional ingredients like pine nuts, parmiggiano, olive oil and honestly with how much the ingredients cost nowdays, aspecially pine nuts, it's cheaper for me to buy it like this than make it at home.
Love the supermarket! Thanks.
i was there last month in esselunga and now from egypt while family discution about pasta. this is exactly the vedio i need now. i feel that i walking beside the camera man :) thanks keep going
As an Italian that lived in the Netherlands (now in UK) I completely get you when you said "I missed Esselunga and did not cherished enough" although here in London you can find everything. However, in the Netherlands, there is unfortunately not that wide choice that Italian groceries stores have. I am also biased and I really miss knowing what to get immediately in a grocery store and feeling curious about this and that
Omg I also lived in the Netherlands and now live in the UK! I will add, that while there are some great Italian delis here in London which was not a thing in Amsterdam, in my opinion your average Waitrose/Sainsbury cannot compete with the selection at Albert Heijn 🥹
5:49 Kinder Pane Cioc My Favourite.Ive Tasted that 14 years ago when i lived in romania from a relative that worked in italy and it tasted really good. And The taste now didnt changed
Don't pay too much attention to the comments (one of the many wrong is that about Barilla pesto, if there is one thing Barilla still does well are the sauces, of course we're talking about industrial sauces). Brava, your Italian pronunciation is excellent.
I could almost smell the deli and cheese sections! Mmmm!😍
Looks so good!! 😍😍
Supermarket videos ar the best 😂it's always nice and interesting to see what other countries sell and the reactions of foreigners when they come in yours
Thanks for watching!
The peach that caused discussion throughout Italy was purchased here!
Rummo Is very good but my favourite Is de Cecco. Both around 1,20€/500g before War now are about 1,40 (off offers).
I like the small / city versions of the shop. Are you going to try making a Pannatonne?
Good question and probably not! I don’t like cooking/baking so I’d rather buy one of the good ones and that’s it 😅
Very good video thanks 😊
Hello. I am in the middle of watching the video and heard your question about products labeled “bio”. If you figured it out over the course of the video, I am sorry but I didn’t want to forget to comment. When you see products labeled “bio” here in Italy, it is short for “biologico” and that means that the products are organic. I hope that this helps in some small way. I am now off to keep watching the video. Have a nice night.
Thank you for the explanation! 🙏
@@lenny.winter My pleasure. Thanks for another great video.
Did it have lucky charms cereal in the breakfast aisle?
Non so di che nazione sei ma quando pronunci parole italiane sembri italiana, nessun accento. Bravissima.
☺️
4:42 I know the Parmiggiano Reggiano and Grana Padano
I live in Germany .. and the country I dream of living in is Italy, but unfortunately the economic crisis there does not allow that
Economic crisis in Italy???? Just like the rest of Europe.. The problem of Italy ( and the rest of Europe) is being invaded by Africans, Pakistans, muslims!
@@M.C.K.111 problem is politics and that damned EU
Can anyone suggest good affordable olive oil in Milan. Thnxx

Most Italians buy many liters of oil between October and November directly from farmers, which then lasts all year, perhaps in large metropolises it is more difficult to procure it but there are so many local producers that almost no one buys industrially bottled oil .
I watched at 0.75
Even Americans know Barilla is not good.
why? barilla is ok, average quality
So hilarious that you stressed that u aint American🤣🤣🤣
People are really coming at me for various reasons based on that assumption 🤣🤣🤣
How they are not all obese I don’t understand… everything looks incredibly tempting and delicious
And most of these delicious stuff is expensive... That is why most people are not obese

hmm, not very informative really..cute idea though
Sorry, ain't no way you learned english watching movies and tv shows. Don't believe it.
This is how I learned it whether you believe it or not 🙂 I’m assuming you’re only saying this because my accent is quite good, but that’s because I’ve been specifically practicing it for years and from a relatively young age when it’s easier to learn languages and accents. Are you monolingual by chance? Because what I’m saying here is not a wild concept for anyone who’s ever learned a second language
I learned Italian watching tv, and improved my English watching tv and using all sorts of media. Of course i also learned English in school, but i never learned Italian in school yet i can communicate, cause i learned a lot of it from the tv. The fact that you don't have neighbours whose languages you are learning might be bad for your IQ.
