- At least 15 people were killed and around 50 injured in the Kanchenjunga train accident that has once again raised concerns over railway safety in India. According to PTI, the signalling system between two stations, where the accident took place, was defective for hours before the mishap took place. Meanwhile, the Railways said that the driver of the goods train, which rammed into the express train, had disregarded the signal following which the accident took place. Signal signal signal........, what is this? Instead of upgrading whole railway system our railway minister is focussing only on vande bharat. Please bring back piyush goyal. Present railway minister focus only on rich vande bharat. He reduced general, sleeper coaches, no railway upgradation, no railway recruitment nothing. Seems like he forgot about middle-class, poor people who are regular commuters in railway. Regular commuters cannot pay ₹1000+ for daily travel in vande bharat.

These incidents are repeating bcz there is no proper punishment in India. 4 terr attacks happened within 48 hrs in j&k, 11 people lost lives but nobody is held responsible yet. Now who is responsible for this tragic incident ? Just saying "machine fault" will increase the negligence in near future.

Any written authority to proceed given to a train contain a speed restriction in that territory so that any obstruction in that track can not cause a collision. Even in the Automatic Signaling territory after passing a RED Signal, the driver can move at 15 KMPH by day and 5KMPH by night so that it can stop instantly after seeing any obstruction in the track. The Driver could have deliberately ignored the speed restriction or the Signal should have shown GREEN wrongly (Failure). Signal failure might be the most probable cause of this accident as in most of the Railways, Signal Maintenance is out sourced to private parties.

Present situation of loco pilots
I will explain on my knowledge.
1. Normal employees for two weeks 96hrs duty hrs but loco pilots (lp) work minimum 120+hrs
2.safty category other than loco pilots 2 night duties in week and after night duty they got night rest but loco pilots work continues 4nights working they will give night rest(present situation lack of loco pilots).
3.normal railway employees in railway got 52 hrs Pr in a week but loco pilots got 30hrs pr(weekoff) that is also not give on 7th day they give after 10th day now a days.
4.every Railway employee daily meet with their family but loco pilots as per situation 2-3 days after they will reach home.
And lot of issues are there in loco pilots cadre that is not possible in this message please understand.
No Loco pilot want to do accident they have Also family.This is mainly Government fault not at all staff.

Instead, railway is encouraging brokers and black marketing of tickets during tourist seasons. Services are becoming poor, even in case of prime trains like Vande Bharat. Rail service was meant for public not only just for profit seeking. Safety of passengers has become questionable once again after this accident. Even the spokespersons says "Only 15 are dead and 50 injured", huh! Human lives has become so negligible?

In case of prolonged failure of automatic signal T/D 912 is given along with T/A 912 where last stop signal is already failed... station master has issued the wrong authority of T/A 912 instead of T/D 912...first culprit is the station master...
Second thing is that ..when the first train 13174 didn't clear the block section, at the same time , how did the station master give the line clear authority to that goods train
Needs to be corrected, Station name being used multiple times in this video is wrong, correct name should be Rangapani and NOT Ranipatra
i do not believe in this theory of govt how is that possible that both the loco pilot and the assistant loco pilot was not able to see the signal......and even if they were in speed when they might have seen the signal they must have applied full brakes rather than hitting the express train with that speed......have to be some technical fault either in the display of the signal or in the locomotive of the goods train.

Do not ignore these train accidents. These are rituals performed by the so-called elite class like the ancient day narabali. If you look at the Balasore accident, the incident happened exactly after 5 days of the inauguration of the new parliament building. This accident happened just after 8 days of the swearing in ceremony of the new government in the new parliament. Please note that the new parliament building is in the shape of a coffin.
In both the accidents, the common factor is the signal malfunction. Eye witnesses said that before the Balasore accident, there was a railway person who was 'repairing' the signal and the rail was in the wrong direction and redirected Coromandal express to the loop lane. Still there was no investigation report submitted. Clearly an inside job by the government.

Whenever automatic signal system fails the entiire signals in section goes red. The TD 912 authority implies the driver should go at the cautious speed preparing to stop at every signal. The impact shows the goods driver is at fault. Hit the express train with full speed even ignoring the LV(last vehicle flashing red)sign.
The plight of Indian Railway is the worst compared to other modes of transportation in India. They are interested only in looting the ordinary people
