Yakuza 4's plot treads the very fine line between action-packed drama and twists so nonsensical that you'd swear it was a joke and I love every rubber minute of it
Well i not gonna lie it has some weak spots and some holes but it has really charm of it's own way , and it was a maturing point in writing , the style and rythem in y5 y0 y6 (like how the mystery keeps revealing and the multi protagnist style) changed from the ones in y1 y2 y3 (it was focused alot in kiryu's already formed realtionships like kazama and nishki and reina , even the ryuji despite being not in kiryu's past but his enmity for kiryu was focused on kiryu as a "dragon" while shibusawa in y0 even when he had a similar theme but th focus wasn't on it nor on kiryu , also in y0 which is had kazama and nishki and reina the main focus wasn't on kiryu's ties with them ), and a big part of it was due to y4 style
And it also gave us awesome charctars like akiyama and saejima , and even the secondary charactars like kido and minami
Also the first game gave majima real depth , before that he was just meniac with some depth (which effected his story alot in y0 , also the hints and stories in kiwami 1 and kiwami 2 for majima depth as charctar most if it wasn't all of it wasn't in the og y1 and y2 , it was added due to his story in y4 and y0)

That Sugiuchi fight is why it's good to have weapons.
Tanimura experienced twist after twist. Dev was really evil to put Kiryu at this point in game with no skills. It really made it hard for him
