To know about Kiryu's age, from 0 he's only 20 years old in 1988, 7 years later, Kiwami started when he got prison behind bars at 27 years old until 10 years later everything changed he's now 37, in 2 its 1 year later, in 3 he's around 39 or 40 at the time, in this game, he's 41 years old, in 5 he's 44, in 6 he's 48, in Like a Dragon and Gaiden he's 51 and in the last game he's 55 years old

Again, it was a silly but serious, unique ending! especially last battle when kido vs saejima really impressive. it was like a student with the teacher, and the two fought, so I became more immersed in it. + money save us

Congrats on beating the game Bae! It's really nice that you enjoyed the story, rubber writing and all. I really hate how some people trash on the entire plot just because of some of the nonsensical details, but it's nice that you still appreciated it for what it was, one of the most Yakuza stories of all time. I also love the fact that you began the game talking about how Akiyama was a rizz master, but ends up with negative rizz.
Congrats on completing what is *not* the craziest, but probably the most convoluted finale in the series. Yakuza 5 is a big improvement in many ways, and there are more moments of levity, but it's a massive slog if you try to do everything on offer. Have fun, and don't be afraid to move on if things feel slow.

Yeah, Yakuza 4 is... quite something lmao The writing and story are not great, and the plot literally hinges on the big bad (Munakata) realizing how dumb the overarching plot is. So many needless plot twists just for the sake of having them, everything about Yasuko, cutscene guns at their worst... and even the rubber bullets! They don't even work like that irl, and the entire plot is built around them!! I still think it's better than Yakuza 2/Kiwami 2's plot because this one is a BIT more believable and is way funnier, but still. It DID add the goat Akiyama though, one of the best characters in the series who I'm super glad you like a lot, and Tanimura was pretty interesting. It gets credit for that!! Either way, glad you enjoyed it overall! While we're not quite into peak Yakuza yet and the next game still has some odd writing choices, it's MUCH better than 4 imo so hopefully you like that one, too!!

I like Yakuza 4, but it's so obvious that originally Kiryu wasn't supposed to be in this game, which explains why the entire part 4 plot is just doesn't make sense and forced. It such a shame that they didn't have the balls to create a Yakuza game with Kiryu (which is sadly happened again with LaD IW). Because what Yakuza 4, Judgment, and LaD shows is that RGG is insanely talented at creating great MC. But i guess it's probably just a classic case of the higher ups in suit messing things up by forcing the devs to play it safe. What a big missed opportunity.
I agree, but also Kiryus basic job was by far the best thing about IW, it was so good I want him to have his own turn based game with dragon style too.

3:24:17 Yakuza 4 was such a flawed game narratively speaking, to the point it feels like Kiryu was shoehorned into it, but seeing them all suit up and walk down the street together is probably the top moment in the entire series.
I like Yakuza 4's multiple protagonists, but Kiryu's part was lackluster. I don't like that Kido and Tanimura disappeared after this. Kido could have been like Saejima's second in command. And too bad Tanimura's original VA had that false drug accusation. I like Judgment and Lost Judgment since you play as a detective and I like Yagami as a protagonist, but I understand that Bae wants to catch up on the mainline games first.

YAKUZA 4!!! BALLS OUT!!! That's another Yakuza game finished! It's definitely a mixed bag for me especially with how the story is a jumbled mess and rubber bullets but it's a good game overall. I never thought money would actually save lives..... I have a feeling you'll like 5 the best out of the remastered trilogy, I know I do imo. But now we're halfway done with the series! Pirate Majima draws closer!

The series always been that way but most people consider Y4 to be one of the worst offenders in the series.

3:24:17 Yakuza 4 was such a flawed game narratively speaking, to the point it feels like Kiryu was shoehorned into it, but seeing them all suit up and walk down the street together is probably the top moment in the entire series.
I like Yakuza 4's multiple protagonists, but Kiryu's part was lackluster.
I don't like that Kido and Tanimura disappeared after this. Kido could have been like Saejima's second in command. And too bad Tanimura's original VA had that false drug accusation.
I like Judgment and Lost Judgment since you play as a detective and I like Yagami as a protagonist, but I understand that Bae wants to catch up on the mainline games first.

That's another Yakuza game finished! It's definitely a mixed bag for me especially with how the story is a jumbled mess and rubber bullets but it's a good game overall. I never thought money would actually save lives.....
I have a feeling you'll like 5 the best out of the remastered trilogy, I know I do imo. But now we're halfway done with the series! Pirate Majima draws closer!
