Im not German but here the faschnott is similar. They have it during Resurrection and good friday. My co-workers at 8am that morning will takecrequests and drive to pick them up. There not doughnuts either and they have cinnamon or are plain.

How different from when I lived in Israel! I don't recall any kind other than the traditional jam-filled being available. Perhaps I just didn't get around enough. Well, I'm glad there is a lot more variety for you to enjoy these days. Hopefully, I will get the chance to enjoy such some day as well. Hey David, they are different from donuts, generally speaking they are fluffier and perhaps softer. They were really nice and I didn’t eat them all at the same day haha..maybe if I did my stomach would not be that happy with me. Happy holidays!! Thanks for commenting 🎉🎉
